TMNT (2018) and What They Would Get at an Ice Cream Shop:
Source: me, an ice cream shop employee who is also obsessed with tmnt.
Leo: This dude gets the most elaborate, most expensive option possible. I can feel it in my bones. He likes the “finer things in life” and apparently that includes an extra five dollars spent on a double-scoop, waffle cone, sprinkles, and a cherry. Favorite flavor is probably something like Rocky Road. A bunch of different textures and flavors just for the sake of it.
Raph: My man is simple with a capital simp. He would totally get a cake cone with a single scoop and some solid flavor. Not chocolate or vanilla, but most certainly nothing with any texture or extra flavors. He looks at Leo’s order in disgust and then turns around and orders pistachio.
Donnie: Cup all the way. Cones are too messy and have a time constraint with how they melt all over you. He definitely is obsessed with chocolate and anything with chocolate in it. I’d imagine he gets a small but asks for a big bowl so he has no chance of spilling or making a mess. His go-to is fudge brownie with hot fudge on top.
Mikey: Used to be very similar to Leo, but then he dropped his cone onto Donnie’s lap. Now he is confined to cup life. He can still get a cone but the scoop has to be put into a cup first. Because of this, he can’t do as many toppings as he used to. So, he’ll get sprinkles and try to mix them in before scooping a small amount onto his cone. He usually goes for a sugar cone but will occasionally get a cake cone as well. His flavor of choice is Superman.
Bonus:
April: Is the ice cream shop worker who has to deal with them.

seat taker

s. you have a crush on the smartest and sexiest guy in your lit class who happens to ride a motorcycle with spooky season around the corner. what ever might happen?
w.c. 10.6k
w. fem! reader, biker!geto! x reader , fluff!, smut! (its more so toward the end so u can read until it cuts off to that lol if u want)
a/n: based on this idea I posted about biker!geto from uni lol, I didn't really proofread so ill get to that sometime later after I shower and eat lol just wanted to get this out
"go sit next to him then."
you take a nervous gulp from your water bottle as you walk to your lit class. the effort was a bit clumsy considering you were using one hand to open and close it while the other held your phone, your friend on the other line.
"never, would I ever have the balls to do that. i may be confident but I am not as delusional as the caveman gym bro that took your seat so he could sit next to me in anthropology."
she laughs on the other end, a hysterical giggle at your backtalk.
"well then he's just gonna keep thinking you're creepy cause you stare."
you let out a haughty scoff, "as if I acknowledge his existence." a finger of yours goes up in the air, as if she could see you being a smartass about your discretion, "I never look at him. I only get in a glance or two when he asks the professor a question or when he raises his hand to answer a question."
"you're insane."
"unfixable." you sigh prettily and proudly before giving a more serious response to her first suggestion, "and it would be really awkward if I sat next to him either way. the class is packed and everyone has their assigned unassigned seats, the white haired guy that always sits next to him would probably push me off his seat if he ever saw me there."
"that is true. some girl did that to me in stats and I was like ??? have you not been sitting somewhere else this entire semester? pissed me off that I had to sit somewhere else and take someone's seat."
you're about five seconds away from your lecture hall door when you add to her complaint.
"right. and then that person looks at you funny cause you took their seat and then argh–its just a fucking domino effect." you turn around and take a step into the class, the sight before you bringing emphasis to the last words that you meant to finish off with, "fuck seat takers..."
"huh. what was that last part?"
your classroom is full. every one of the 200 seats are seemingly just taken. it's a sight you're not used to when you walk into class. normally, when you decide to go in, about half of the class is there, and you were starting to curse the fact that you gave yourself the luxury to finish the last of your reading for next week ahead of time. those ten minutes didn't seem like they'd make a difference, they sure do now...
with white haired guy sitting in YOUR seat.
its across the lecture hall from where he normally sits, next to Geto, who just so conveniently has an empty seat next to him, the only empty seat.
poker face, poker face, poker face.
it's all you repeat to yourself as you walk up the carpet steps to the row where Geto is sitting and try to continue the conversation with your friend.
there's no white noise, some people are typing away at their computers and others are chatting with the person next to them or near them, so it gives you room to explain yourself a little without being heard.
"everybody's already in class, and white haired guy is in my seat dude, and guess which seat isn't fucking taken." there's an edge to your voice, however it lays undetectable with your calm face.
"WAITTTTTTTT. AHAHA–"
you can feel your body heating up in nerves when you start walking between Geto's row, to the seat next to him.
"stop f/n. I am on the verge of committing a serious crime. I'm going to actually end up in handcuffs by the end of today. the–"
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA." She keeps laughing at you as you force yourself to not care that you're pulling out and sinking into the chair next to Geto. If he acknowledged you, you wouldn't have known, his mere presence something you deleted from your mind in order to process the current events before you right now.
a high pitched and drawn out HA is the last of her laughs you hear before she speaks again, "I basically manifested this for you. you should be thanking me."
"fuck your manifesting. I'm not excited for this." you don't care to filter your voice into a whisper, it stays at its normal tone even though you're next to Geto because he didn't even know what the conversation was about anyway.
you balance your phone between your shoulder and cheek while you begin to take out your iPad and journal for class.
"ask him for a ride on his motorcycle after heh." she pokes at you and you feel like you can hear her poking out her tongue in malevolence.
even though you're slightly grumpy at your predicament, you manage to make a comment accompanied by a sigh, "with the way midterms are looking, id need a different kind of ride."
"you can ask him for that too~"
"shut up, you menace."
"hehe," she strikes evilly, "well, I'll leave you to your class with your boyfriend."
"no, stop, the class doesn't even–"
"bye!"
and she hung up on you, leaving you to flip mindlessly through your notebook while you try to ignore the presence of the hot hot hot piece of sexiness next to you.
suguru geto has been at the forefront of your mind for weeks now. you had always slightly admired him from afar, considering your actual seat in the lecture hall was across the room from him. he was undeniably attractive, with his long black always tied up in a bun and clean outfits. and his intelligence, he was always one to garner thoughtful debates in class in response to the professors teachings. his calmness towards everything was enough to make you swoon at the thought go him being that patient with you too.
and his stupid motorcycle, the thing that made it all click for you.
you had been walking to the library after class to meet with your classmate to work on an anthropology presentation when you caught a glimpse–stare–of him getting onto a motorcycle and pulling a helmet over his head before he quickly rode off to wherever he was going. for some reason, it really got your gears grinding and wishing you could just jump this man and do some truly desperate things.
he was all you thought about after. none of the other cute guys in your classes could hold a candle to the being that is suguru geto, renouncing you into a pining mess that looked forward to every lit class–even though you pretended you didn't care for him.
god, what even was the point in all of this if you weren't ever going to make a move? if he just SPOKE to you first maybe you could get some rizz in–
"you have pretty handwriting."
"I–what?"
you perk up like a deer in headlights at the sudden voice of Geto, wondering if you're the one he's speaking to.
and he is, he's spinning a pen between his fingers while he looks at you, slightly gesturing towards the journal in your hands, your cursive covering the pages of it.
"oh!" you're still caught off guard, doe eyes in the face of his sudden and scary, to you, comment, "thank you. can't even read it sometimes though, it's like trying to understand another language when I have to study what I write after."
he smiles slightly at your comment, a whisp of his dark hair swaying near his right eye, "I think it'd be cool to try and translate."
you resist the urge to curl into a ball and wish he would just look away from you, but you persevere, holding out your journal to him.
"be my guest." you say without hesitance
he sets his pen aside when he grabs it, immediately flipping through the pages and starting to skim through your notes, his eyes moving side to side as he does. you get a good view of him while he goes about trying to decipher your writings. he's wearing a black shirt today, it's not exactly tight, but not loose either. it gives you the perfect view of his arms bulging a bit, his biceps' size is an eye sore for you.
he's wearing these black stud earrings too, only visible because of the bun that he keeps his long hair. you wish you could see how long his hair actually was sometimes, he had never worn it down to class.
"looks like I'm more versed in your cursive than you are." he glances at you, a faint smile on his lips
your eyebrows raise a little and your eyes widen, "what? you can read it?"
he closes the journal and slides it to your spot on the very long lecture table. geto then leans over to your side a bit, close to your ear, and starts to point across the room to his white haired friend.
"see that idiot with the pitch black glasses?"
the question sends chills down your spine, the proximity making your heart race.
"y-yeah."
"silver spoon baby. learned cursive when he was four and it's basically incomprehensible unless you've been sharing notes with him since high school."
a laugh flows out of your lips, etching a smile on your face. your shoulder slightly bumps into his chest from it before you turn your head to directly face his.
"and I'm taking it that you're well versed in his cursive then too?"
he looks at you with a slight dreaminess in his eyes, his height still domineering over you even if you were both seated next to each other.
"have to be, would have failed lots of class projects if I didn't"
you take the opportunity to poke about the whereabouts of his friend in your seat now that he's been mentioned.
"and why's he sitting over there then?" you blink up at him for a response
at this, geto sinks back to his original position on his chair, face a million miles away from yours now as he goes back to fiddling with his pen.
"he's...trying to flirt with the girl he's talking to right now." he shakes his head a little, although there isn't much of a disappointed look in his face, it's more entertained. he was probably used to his friend's antics by now.
"ah. at least it looks like she's into it." you dispense the weight of your head onto the palm of your hand as you look at his friend with him, "could not have been me."
"what?"
you don't turn to look at him as you respond, "this Andrew Tate gym bro took my friend's seat to sit next to me in my anthropology class the other day. tried speaking to me like those guys who swear all you need is a computer to become a millionaire. worst ninety minutes of my life."
you hear a puff of a laugh from geto
"I can guarantee you Gojo has better skills than that. he's probably talking about his Halloween party for this weekend."
you flip your head to look at him suddenly, "he's that guy?"
every big party that everyone talked about on campus was always held by Gojo. they had numerous amounts of beers and liquor bottles. always the best music, the best hookup stories, the best snacks, everything. you hadn't put a face to the name until now, although it should've clicked when you found out Geto's name. his was always being paired with Gojo, as some would put it, two pretty best friends.
geto could see the gears turning in your head and his eyes creased a little at your realization in a smile, "yea, that's the guy."
you're a bit taken aback by his confirmation and turn to take another look at gojo before looking back at geto.
amused, geto speaks again, "by all means, go for it, he's–"
you quickly shake your head and stretch out both your hands to frantically do the same, "no, god, no. i'm not into him. it's just I didn't know that was him. I always hear good things about his parties."
geto nods, "he has an affinity for making sure everyone has a good time. you ever been to one?"
you shake your head, "never, haven't had the chance to or been invited."
"you should go to the Halloween one." geto suggests, gesturing his pen in your direction before going back to spinning it around his fingers, "you know where it is?"
you shake your head again, now completely facing his direction, the attention you were giving to his friend gone and now placed on him.
geto gestures towards your journal and reaches for it, "may I?"
you nod, curious at what he was going to do.
he flips the journal and opens the very last page, guaranteed to be blank and begins writing something on it.
when he pushes it back to your side of the table, you can see what he's written now, an address.
"that's where the frat house is."
you wiggle your eyebrows a little at him, "you in the frat too?"
geto laughs fully this time and shakes his head, "no. I have my own apartment. that's just gojo's thing."
you acknowledge him and look over the address written on your journal, "I'll think about it. have to wear my costume somewhere right?"
"what is it?" he tilts his head curiously, genuine interest in what you would choose to dress up as.
you try to bite back the smile at the knowledge you have of your costume and choose to leave it up in the air for him, tapping your journal on his shoulder.
"now that is something for you to find out if you see me at the party."
just how it's entailed in mean girls, you dress up slutty for gojo's halloween party. you wore a playboy bunny costume, close to one of the sluttier things you can wear, but it's rare recently for girls to wear as opposed to the trendy fairy and angel costumes lately.
although it isn't exactly halloween yet, its the first out of the two parties gojo was holding in honor of the holiday. next weekend there would be another one on the actual day, but you didn't know if you'd go that one yet, you were going to see what this one was all about though.
you brought your friend with you, hooking her up with the address geto provided you because she had been aching to go to one of gojo's parties too.
your eyes light up when you see geto's sleek black motorcycle parked near the garage as the both of you walk to the door.
"god, there's so many people inside." your friend all but screeches in excitement and you would too if it weren't for the nerves of impending doom that geto, your everything crush and classmate, was going to see you wearing this.
the chills that come from the thought make you rub your shoulders for heat as you walk inside and the blaring of the music becomes even more booming now that it isn't being shielded by the walls of the house.
"where do you think the drinks are?" you try to speak up, a trace of small worry at bumping into geto laced in your voice.
she raises her head up and looks around to see where she could spot the alcohol until she starts dragging you by the hand, "the kitchen is over here I think!"
she pushes the both of you past clusters of people, paving the way for her desire for vodka and it makes you bump into someone a bit roughly.
you try to voice out your apology quickly as she keeps dragging you along, looking back at who you just bumped into.
it's geto.
his eyes show mild surprise, not one for entirely showing his emotions, they're widened a bit and he looks a bit taken aback while his eyes rake up and down your body–still being dragged away. he's not wearing a costume, sporting a white t-shirt and jeans instead.
the words of apology you were going to utter fall off as you make eye contact and realize it was him you bumped into, he who just got an obvious look at your costume.
you're glad the speed of your friend makes the interaction short lived due to her lightning speed in suddenly bringing you to the kitchen, which is lined with beer and liquor of all kinds, every space of the spacious kitchen taken up by alcohol.
you hurriedly reach to serve yourself a cup of strawberry vodka, hoping that the first sip and those after might make your nerves dilute. when you turn around to talk to your friend, who's probably already served herself straight flavorless vodka, she's being flirted with by her anthropology club crush. she gives you a quick glance, a combination of 'oh my god oh my god' and 'sorry' being communicated to you.
you smile at her knowingly and point towards where everyone was dancing and talking, marking that that's where you would be while you left her to go as far as she wanted with the boy in front of her.
you're halfway through the crowd to make it to the patio when a voice is suddenly in your ear from behind.
"is it as cool as people say?"
you jump at the intrusion and cradle the cup of vodka to your chest and look at who just spoke to you.
it's geto, exactly behind you, his large frame towering over your body and leaned over so you could hear him.
you're stopped in your tracks and turn around to face him now, trying hard not to feel intimated by your basically half naked right in front of him.
"yeah!" you nod
geto turns his head a little from his spot at least a foot above you and leans down again, at level heads with you
"sorry, say that again." he looks at you earnestly, wanting to be able to properly hear your answer with the loud music echoing into your ears and his.
"I said yeah! I didn't know parties could be this packed!" you say, taking a nervous sip from your cup as you look at him
"what happened to your friend?" geto keeps his posture the way it is to keep talking to you
"the guy she likes started talking to her!" you exclaim past the loud blare of music.
"ah." he nods, taking a quick glance to the kitchen and spotting your friend smiling eagerly at the guy in a jason costume in front of her. "what are you going to do then?"
you blink cluelessly, haven't actually thought about until he asked you.
"dance!" you look around the room so he could look with you. bodies pressed against each other and bodies dancing by themselves all across the room.
geto smiles and straightens himself before reaching a hand out to you and gives you a look of 'wanna take it?'
you can't help the bashful smile that makes its way to your face as you hesitantly take his hand. he softly brings you closer to him, not as close as the other horny bodies in the room, but it's a little intimate and makes you feel intoxicated. he puts his other hand high on your waist, making sure to avoid the sluttiness beneath that line of your torso considering your outfit, and he starts to sway the both of you to the music. he holds you to himself with you hook an arm over his shoulder and use the other hand to hold your drink, singing along to the music with a toothy smile.
it was playful, the interaction with him, a fun setting between the both of you. the combination of that and the large heap of strawberry vodka you served yourself and managed to finish by the second song with him were the reason for your increasing comfortable nature with him. you were laughing and laying your head on his chest frequently through your endless bursts of energy and gasping breaths for relief.
he was smiling throughout the entirety of it, never getting too comfortable though, and keeping his hands where they had originally been.
"I just wanna be one of your girls tonight!" you sing at the top of your lungs.
geto lets go of one of the hands encircling you and instead reaches for one of the hands splayed across his shoulder and chest, caressing it with a thumb.
you tug at him a little with your other hand and he leans down to hear what you're about to say.
"wanna get drinks?" you ask, craving a sweet hard seltzer instead of another pour of vodka.
"you want something?" geto asks you back
"are there any strawberry drinks?" you blink up at him
geto looks like he's thinking for a second, trying to remember the usual drinks his best friend caters, before he nods, "yeah there are. want me to get you one?"
you nod eagerly at him and follow him to kitchen. he had taken a hold of your hand when he noticed you were going to accompany him, he didn't want you to struggle getting through all those people.
he had been bent over to look through a cooler on the floor before he stood up and held out a strawberry daiquiri to you, "here."
"thank you." you nod before you jump and sit on the countertop so you could rest and drink
you notice geto doesn't have a drink in his hand when he leans against the kitchen island in front of you.
"you didn't want a drink?"
geto shakes his head calmly, "gotta drive back."
"oh." you remember his motorcycle from earlier near the garage and strike another question so he doesn't know that you know he has a motorcycle. incredible logic.
"what kinda car do you have?"
"ah, not a car, a motorcycle." he smiles slightly, the answer was humble
"oh~"you drag out–as if it was new information to you–and continue drinking from your bottle.
"you have a ride back home though?" geto asks, crossing his arms over his chest so he could be more comfortable while listening to you.
"uhh," you reach for your phone and see a message from your friend asking if it was okay for her to go to McDonalds with her crush, "well I was going to uber with my friend, but she just had a change of plans."
"I can take you home." he offers genuinely, tilting his head in await for your answer.
"In your motorcycle?!" you blurt out
he starts laughing heartily at your answer and smirks at you when he speaks again, "never been on one?"
"no." you shake your head, a bit intimidated, "what if I fall. im literally naked im gonna get cut up by the road."
geto smiles at you, "that's a fair concern, but I'll give you my helmet and let you borrow my jacket, it's big, it should cover you up a bit no?"
although the alcohol leaves your brain empty, you think it over which involved nothing but staring at him in supposed 'thought' before you nod, "okay."
"can I give you my number? so you can send me your address?" geto asks, shuffling a little bit closer to you
"mhm." you hand your phone to him and watch as he types away into your phone before he hands it back to you. when you stare back at his contact name, suguru geto, it makes a dawn of realization wash over you.
"you don't know my name, rig–"
"y/n."
you do a double take at how fast he says it and his eyes crease at your reaction.
"what?"
"you get involved in the lectures a lot." he takes note for you
"oh." you sink back into yourself
"do you know mine?"
you shyly respond with a, "yea, you get involved a lot too..."
"good to know." he grins a little, watching as you take the last sip of your drink and gesturing back towards the dancing scene, "wanna go back?"
"yeah." you confirm softly, taking the hand he gives you so you can get off the countertop smoothly. and when your feet touch the ground, you yelp, "ow ow ow ow!"
the hour of pure dancing and jumping around had not been a good rival for your new and tall heels. they were a height you had walked before, but the shoes themselves were new and not worn in, causing a great deal of pain across your entire foot.
geto held you by just below your armpits, the worry he had seeping through in his widened eyes and his leaning over to see if he find out what was wrong with you.
"what's wrong?" he asks quickly
"the heels," you scrunch up your nose in pain and sigh, "they hurt like a bitch now that I got a bit of rest."
you can tell geto feels bad about your pain by the way he grimaces for you and plants you on the countertop again. he suddenly kneels down and begins to work at the clasps of your heels.
"you can borrow my shoes. that sound alright?" he looks up at you from where he's at, already sliding one of the heels from your feet.
you're quick to deny, "but what about you?"
"satoru and I are the same size, I can just ask him for a pair, he has a million."
you give in at his response, embarrassed, "okay."
"you want me to take you home now?" he lightheartedly smiles as he works on the other heel, "I think you can walk in my shoes, but dancing doesn't seem doable."
"well yea." you say dejectedly, a little frown etching itself on your face when he finally comes back up, his lips quirk up a little when he sees it
"wait for me here then." he says, putting your shoes next to you on the countertop before he walks off a little hurriedly to you assume gojo's room.
when geto walks you to his motorcycle, he takes your heels and puts them in the compartment box of it for you, then takes his helmet and immediately puts it on your head.
an 'oomf' leaves your mouth at the sudden weight of it and he looks a little amused as he starts working at the straps of it.
"there you go."
he smirks a little as he looks at the, very large in comparison to you, helmet, and picks up his jacket that he brought back from gojo's room to put on you.
"there we go" he sighs, almost like he's proud of himself and gets on the motorcycle, turning his torso a little to pat behind him for you to get on too.
when you get on and take in the feeling of sitting on a motorcycle for the first time, he's turned around and looking at his phone, pinching and zooming in on the route to your apartment.
"you actually live pretty close to me." he murmurs, noting what roads to take.
"yeah?" you yawn, laying your head on his back
"alright," geto says, starting up his motorcycle, revving it up a bit, "hug me tight okay?"
you nod sleepily and wrap your arms around him, brain so eased by the alcohol in your system that you don't overthink it, as if your sober self wouldn't be screaming and crying on the inside during this exact situation.
geto drives off at a decent pace, some part of you thinking that this might not be the speed he normally drives off and that he was taking it a bit slower just for you. you could feel him breathe in and out all throughout the ride, his chest and stomach were rising and falling underneath your touch. you fell half asleep on him halfway through it, managing to grasp onto him like a child with their stuffed animal, and unable to resist the heaviness of your eyelids.
you blink back to reality at the sudden stop of movement, the stilling air was no longer brushing past your skin and the noise of wheels screeching against the road was gone.
after geto helps you get his helmet off, he hangs it on one of the handles and takes your heels out of the compartment box.
"this is your place right?"
another yawn flutters past your mouth again and you hold out your pointer finger to say yes.
"alright." geto says, watching as you lead the way into and through your apartment and to your place. he had placed a ghost of his hand near your back in case you started to trip up from his shoes considering their size in comparison to your feet. the walk was quiet considering your focus on making it to your door and the overwhelming sleepiness dawning on you.
when you get to your door you slip off geto's shoes and them to him, taking your heels from him in return.
"thank you, geto." you hold try not to yawn again, doe eyes sleepily fluttering at him
"you can call me by my first name." he comments comfortingly, "and no problem. see you in class?"
"yeah." and this time you do yawn, again, before you open your door and walk inside, looking at him while you hold onto the frame.
"alright then." he looks down at you from across the doorway, one hand in his pocket, the other holding onto his shoes, "get some rest okay?"
"okay." you almost murmur, your bed calling out to you.
you get to class at the time you usually do the following class meeting. the weather forecast had been a little chilly, so you opted for a cozy, off the shoulder sweater. it was fashionable and you had been dying to use it the moment you saw the weather forecast the night before.
you're scribbling notes onto your iPad this time, going over lecture notes from your earlier class that day. there were some things you forgot to add and that's what you always used this time for before class started. you see the class start filling in minute by minute out of your peripheral vision as you do this.
your habit of pretending to not care about suguru's presence is still existent, so all you can see for a fleeting second when you look into your backpack for a mint is that he is indeed sitting at his normal spot with gojo.
there was no chance to look at him that day in class, he hadn't spoken, which wasn't really rare, sometimes you wouldn't speak in class either. you, however, did speak in class that day, the module that the professor was teaching that day had piqued your interest a great amount and thus called for a great amount of your interaction with the lesson.
by the end of class, you were setting quick reminders on the notes you had taken of what was the most important before you started packing your bag to leave. the sound of feet and shuffling to leave the class a bit noisy, but it could let you make out the distant loud voice of gojo, probably talking to suguru.
"I have been on my best behavior. I do not know what you mean by that Suguru." "No no no that was a favor, look where it got you." "Oh you are such a wuss."
It was only a little appealing considering the fact that you couldn't hear what suguru was saying and the things that gojo was saying didn't let you get any clues as to what they were talking about. oh well.
you wanted to go home and start studying for a test tomorrow, so you started walking out of class, past suguru and gojo's line of view.
you heard a smack, like one of them had hit the other.
and gojo's voice, "idiot."
you were sitting at your desk, going over the last of your test review when you felt your phone buzz across the desk and picked it up
suguru
hey
y/n
hi
suguru
you wanna take satoru's seat next class?
y/n
he wants to flirt with mika again?
suguru
not rlly lol.
y/n

suguru
I think it'd be cool to switch desk buddies every once in a while ;)
y/n
lmaooo. I won't tell mika if that's what you're scared of
suguru
haha, that's not rlly the case, but just take his seat
y/n
okay?
when you go to class again that same week, you hesitantly take gojo's seat. there was no follow up text from suguru after you said your okay and it was a little off putting. of course it had only been that night and the day after that he hadn't texted again, but it was a little weird, especially for it being the very first text conversation he strikes with you. the only thing that had been exchanged between either of you in your messages had been your address to him from gojo's party.
there were no notes for you to go over, there was no test or important knowledge that you had to use soon in any upcoming classes, so you were left to wait for the class to begin while you aimlessly scrolled through your phone and watched people come into class.
three minutes had passed before suguru and gojo were walking into class together. gojo was rubbing his friend's shoulder rather roughly, a fang filled smile on his face as he said something to him. suguru didn't seem to mind it, like many things, his eyes still had that warmth they always had, but it looked like he had said something back.
gojo playfully shoved suguru forward by the back before he laughed evilly and walked to your original seat, if you were right, you could see his bright blue eyes flick to you for a second behind his glasses before he smiled at the girl he flirted with last week.
you look up at suguru as he finally gets to the seat next to you.
"hey." he sighs with a smile as he plops into the seat.
"hey." you smile only halfway, a little tired from staying up to finish a homework the night before.
"sorry about the cryptic texts." he starts to apologize, moving his chair a little closer to yours, "satoru took my phone."
ah. that's why it seemed so out of character
"it's fine." you reassure, "they were a little off putting to read."
suguru scratches at the back of his neck, "I'm sorry about that. I meant to text after but I felt awkward."
"really? about?"
for the first time, you see him stumble on what to say, hesitance obvious when he opens and closes his mouth for a painfully slow second before he manages to respond, "to see if you were coming to the party on actual Halloween night this weekend."
"oh." your mouth opens in a little oh, oblivious to what he really wanted to say, "I'm not too sure. my friend that I went to the party with is spending it with that same guy she left with. so I don't have anyone to go with. plus I already used my costume."
"what's wrong with using the playboy bunny costume again?"
you eye him, disappointed, and lean over to flick his forehead, "i...am not an outfit repeater, suguru. the people who saw me at last week's party are going to remember me and say 'she's using the same costume again, what a loser'"
he gazes back at you as if you pat his head instead of just flicking it, warmth and a hint of mischief seeping into his stare, "you're right, you did catch a lot of attention."
"what?"
suguru leans back in his seat and answers, "you looked beautiful. it was hard to ignore."
"for who?"
"for me and every guy with eyes at the party."
he seems calm and confident when he says it, but his cheeks and ears start to get a slight pinkish hue as he awaits your response.
you try to keep looking at him, fighting the need to look away and wait for the professor to start class, your flustered face saying all too well what you're feeling, "what am I supposed to say to that?"
"you don't have to." suguru moves forward, positions his feet to face you as well as his face, and puts his elbow on the table, slanting his body onto it a little, "The president of gojo's frat asked for your name. He really liked you."
"Zenin?!"
"You like him?" he asks, with the tone of a guy who would try to set you up with the president if you said yes.
you shake your head, gaze looking down in embarrassment, "no no. it just caught me off guard..."
"if you like Toji it's fine," he tries to lower his head so he could catch your eye again, speaking earnestly yet something about it sounds like it's fake, it's weird, "he's like a dog, treat him well and he's loyal. although he can be brutally possessive, probably the type to leave hickeys on your legs if you're going to be with him and wear a costume like the one from the party."
"no, I don't like him. he's not my type." you answer meekly, having felt a bit of pressure from his boasts of the frat president.
"no?"
"no."
and before he can continue with his intense conversation again, you're saved by your professor, dramatically entering the class and bellowing for all of you to pay attention to him.
when your class ends, you try and succeed at scampering away from suguru before he can get a word out. as if she possessed magical powers, your friend called you the moment your professor ended the lesson. within the millisecond her name popped up on your phone, you grabbed at your phone at put it to your ear.
"hello?"
"hey hey! I have a question!"
you pay no mind to suguru as you haul your backpack over your shoulders and begin to walk out of class.
"what's up?"
"do you want the extra halloween costume I bought? levi is taking me to dinner on halloween for our date and I won't get to use it."
"the fembot costume?!"
you can almost makeout the banter between suguru and gojo a way's away behind you as you walk down the concrete steps of the building.
"yeah! you can go to gojo's party in it!" she beams, before her voice gains a bit of malice, "you can dance with motorcycle guy again~"
"go there by myself?" you groan, almost wanting to stomp your feet on the pavement beneath you
"lots of girls go by themselves to parties!"
"well I've never done that." you grumble
"aw come on. use the costume and go for me. pretty pleaseeeee."
"I'm going to give you a reason to be scared on halloween if this goes south for me. got it?"
it's cold when you get to gojo's party and you're beyond psyched out of your mind. from the unbelievably slutty costume that let everyone see your naked body in panties due to sheer babydoll material and the fear of coming across a very handsome suguru or toji zenin, who as handsome as he was might be able to seduce you, but you didn't want him like you did suguru.
you're more conscious of the stares now, due to suguru's previous comment and the fact that this costume was way more revealing.
on instinct you rush to the kitchen and get a strawberry daiquiri like the one suguru got for you exactly a week ago. you didn't want to get drunk tonight considering you came by yourself, so reaching for the strawberry vodka again was not within your list of options.
your eyes were on high alert as you pushed yourself through the countless bodies dancing, trying to remain unseen.
it doesn't give you cause to hide for some reason, considering he's suguru's friend, but you see satoru strut to the kitchen in a slutty firefighter costume. he was wearing the pants and boots, and nothing on top but a set of suspenders. classic.
however, you do a double take when you suguru geto wearing that same exact costume. you swear you feel your eye twitch in frustration when your eyes see his hair finally down, splayed across his back and chest, and get a peek of a tattoo tracing his spinal structure, bone for bone, going all the way up his back until it gets interrupted by his hair. his arms are practically calling to you when he fist bumps a toji zenin wearing a prisoner costume, they flex and bulge at the action. his abs are all perfectly prominent and–
he just made eye contact with you.
you hadn't gojo walk up to him and whisper something into his ear, probably that you were here.
fuck you satoru gojo.
suguru smiles immediately and turns to walk to you, leaving you to stay in place and not run away from him.
"you bought another costume?"
"no," you feel your chest heave at the sight of him, breath getting caught in your throat with his very shirtless self right in front of you. it makes you look off to a girl dancing behind him when you continue, "my friend gave me hers because she didn't end up dressing up."
"you want me to bring zenin?" he points a thumb behind him, towards the kitchen, face the definition of calm and suave.
you glare at him this time and take a sip of your daiquiri
"what? feeling shy?" he smiles down at you, if he weren't such a peaceful seeming person, you would have said it was condescending
"I'm not into zenin." a tinge of irritation already seeping into your voice.
"you sure?" he moves closer to you, your face right smack in front of his chest.
"yes." you jut your chin at him, done with his shenanigans
his lips twitch a little when he tugs your strawberry daiquiri out of your hands, grabs you by the neck, thumb close to your chin, and says, "open your mouth." he immediately starts to chug from your daiquiri and the thought of realization dawns on you of what he was about to do.
you open your mouth and he pushes his body closer to yours as he spits the drink into your mouth, his eyes solely on yours as he does it besides for when he briefly looks at something or someone behind you rather haughtily. he's still holding you and intently watching when you swallow it down immediately. that familiar happy crease of his eyes sketched itself across his face after.
you're heaving a little, star struck by the action the both of you just committed, "what was that suguru?"
"scaring off zenin. you don't want him right?"
his eyelids flutter a bit, something yours did whenever they were sleepy and it makes you search into his eyes more. your curiosity dying when you see the sudden red veins clouding the whites of his eyes. and you push him off.
"are you kidding me? you're high?"
"and drunk." he smiles, not minding your pushing him off and still inserting himself into your personal space again.
you try to speak and can't, solely out of irritation at the fact that he did that because of his intoxicated state. you bite your lip to stop yourself from overreacting and settle for shaking your head.
"you don't like guys who smoke?" he asks, genuine concern laced with his stupid crossed persona at the moment, "I tend to never smoke, but satoru passed me his joint when I was already at the 'whatever happens' point of a tequila bottle ."
"I really don't care about that in a guy, as long as he's not a musty constant weed user that can never cope with his life." you roll your eyes at him slightly, "but you just spit alcohol into my mouth because you're crossed as fuck."
"no." he scoffs, now entirely entranced in his conversation with you.
"yes."
"I spit alcohol into your mouth so zenin wouldn't come up to you."
the response makes you cross your arms over each other, "a simple 'hey she's not into you like that' would have sufficed."
"where's the fun in that?" its a serious question for him, you can tell by the way he patiently waits for your answer
irked, you look up at the ceiling while biting your cheek, trying to gather yourself again before you say, "sober up geto." and turning to walk away.
you made it your mission to stay hidden the entire party, having entered the deal with your best friend that if the night turned sour for you, she would come with her boy whatever to pick you up in his car
after their date.
which wasn't going to end until an hour or two.
the garage had stayed open to the enormous frat house, although there weren't any people in it. people had respected the space, leaving the miscellaneous in it untouched such as the two cars and...suguru's bike.
you eyed it from the rather comfy bean bag in the darkest corner of the garage, feeling a fight or flight instinct at the mere glimpse of it whenever you looked up from your phone.
it had been almost two hours since you last suguru and you were striving to keep the streak going on longer.
"told you I'm going home satoru." a wary and very sobered up voice says when they open the door to the garage, "I drank enough water, I'm sober."
it's suguru.
there is no stagger in his step and his posture is refined as he walks to lean again the trunk of the car furthest from you and closest to his bike. you remain hidden due to the cars covering you from his line of sight as well as the sheer darkness of the corner.
he's wearing a shirt now, another black one, and he rakes his hands across face when he gives a defeated sigh. you hoped he wouldn't notice you.
this was your Friday the 13th movie for sure.
suguru pulls outs his phone from one of the spacious pockets of his fireman pants and he starts to type away immediately. there's a slight buzz from your phone seconds within the action.
suguru
are you still here?
I'm sobered up now.
he shoves his phone back in his pocket after. and you watch as he stays where he is, crossing his arms across his chest while he waits a good five minutes for you to respond, which you don't do. he gets his phone out again after and taps something randomly before he puts his phone up to his ear.
buzz-buzz-buzz-buzz
the strong buzzing of your phone on your thigh make a ricochet that gets's fine tuned ears pick up quickly.
"y/n?" he's shining his phone's flashlight on you, squinting his eyes just a little to try and make you out.
nervous, you mutter, "what."
suguru turns the light off and sighs, walking to your corner, his eyes already getting adjusted to the darkness.
"why didn't you answer me?"
"do you really not know the answer?"
"you're right." he sinks down in front of you, sitting down on the floor and brushing a stressed hand through his hair. his legs are stretched out and basically manspread even though he's not on a chair.
"satoru didn't text you to switch seats with him because he wanted to flirt with mika" he comes forth, both of his hands laying across his knees.
you're confused, "but–"
"it was a wild attempt of his to help me talk to you again." and he laughs, a burst of energy randomly gracing the intense air. suguru raises a hand to rub at the back of his neck while his chest and stomach ricochet and his teeth peek out from his mouth.
"truth is, I really like you." he's still smiling.
the declaration makes you stare blankly at him and a million goosebumps rise across your entire body.
"if you don't feel the same in that regard it's fine of course." he reassures, back to his normal calm self, "I just thought it would help explain my behavior."
"since when?" you peep
"our first class meeting," suguru seems a little bashful at the confession
"I have for a couple of weeks now too." you meekly profess
suguru seems genuinely surprised, his eyes widening, "you have?"
"why do you sound so surprised?" your brows knit.
"it felt like you didn't know I existed until last week." he grins followed by a small huff of humor
"oh...that," you trail off, embarrassed, "I thought pretending you didn't exist was the best way for you to not know I had a thing for you..."
"satoru is far smarter than me in that aspect." he says, "he insisted that you were doing that when I told him."
you giggle a little, "he read me like a book."
suguru hangs his head for a second and groans, still joyful, before he whips his head up and gazes at you, "I apologize for having never gathered the courage to approach you before. I have Satoru to thank for even getting me here with you in the first place."
"it's fine." you shrug, pulling at your own fingers, "we're here now aren't we?"
"we are." he agrees before leaning over. suguru grabs one of your hands and brings it to his lips, placing a soft kiss onto it while his eyes never leave your own.
"want to go back to the party?" you muster past your nerves, focus solely on the warmth of his hand still holding onto yours.
suguru shakes his head lightly, "I'm enjoying it being just the two of us right now. do you want to?"
"no, I like it here too."
theres a moment of silence, where both of you stare at the hands that the both of you have connected until a strong breeze passes and flutters the thin material of your babydoll up and makes you shiver strongly.
"let me." suguru says as he hastily gets up and gets his leather jacket that's hanging from his motorcycle, then brings it back to you, helping you tuck your arms into the sleeves and get comfortable in it.
he's above you when he does it and you can see the small glances he tries to avoid giving your body, especially at the sparkly pink thong peeking through the see through material of your costume. suguru is making sure his jacket is on your properly when you call out to him suddenly.
"suguru."
he doesn't get the chance to respond when he looks back up at you and you pull him in by the material of his shirt to kiss him.
he reciprocates within seconds, after the surprise wears off and places a hand on your thigh, the other next to your head and grabbing at the beanbag. his lips are soft and have no remnants of alcohol on them, a smooth flavor of his skin and flesh meeting your tastebuds when he dips his tongue into your mouth. it elicits a groan from him when you whimper at the contact.
he pushes as much as he can into your space without falling and you follow suit, trying to lift yourself as much as possible off the beanbag to meet him.
a particular whimper has suguru pulling away from you and pulling you up by the arm so he can maneuver you to sit on the trunk of the car next to you. when he plops you down onto it, he slots his torso between your thighs and pulls you for an even deeper kiss. his hands have a strong grip on your thighs as he keeps you against him and you can feel the distinctly large throbbing of something against your panties through his pants.
"are–mmmm–you hard?" you ask through kisses
suguru can't help the grind of his bulge against your core when he answers and keeps kissing you, giving small nips to your lips, "yes."
your eyes are closed into the kiss when your hands navigate to the waistband of his pants, about to reach for–
"not here." suguru mutters and keeps both of your wrists clamped under one of his large hands.
you pull yourself away from his lips and heave, a pout of sexual frustration illustrated on your eyes and lips. "okay."
he raises a hand to caress your cheek as he smiles fondly, "what?"
"nothing."you look away for a quick second, leaning in to kiss him again after.
suguru stops you before you do though, clamping one of his hands against your mouth while the other holds the back of your head.
he's smiling even wider this time, "now what kind of gentleman would I be if I let you touch me before I get to touch you?"
you slouch in his hold, too upset by the fact that you couldn't touch him or go back to kissing him to care about his words.
"you know, even satoru couldn't keep his eyes off of you in this little costume of yours." he looks down for a second so you could too, "god knows what toji was thinking. I saw the tent in his pants when you took my spit and booze like a good girl."
suguru sees the way you shift your hips for a smidge of relief at his words. "are you my good girl?" he leans his forehead across yours, hand still on your mouth. you try your best to let out a muffled 'mhm' and incessantly nod your head, eyes pleading and hands gripping onto his shirt.
"are you going to answer the phone when I text you next time?"
you give him the same answer again.
"god." he warily eyes you, gaze wandering towards the outline of your breasts and the rest that wasn't covered by your thong, "you're so beautiful."
the hand at the back of your neck trails down and moves some hair away from your shoulder, then ends up holding you by your lower back as suguru leans down and starts to mouth at your neck. he starts off small with his intentions, simply placing soft and subtle kisses, eliciting a ticklish response from you until his lips become searing and he goes in with the intent of leaving hickeys on you, it makes you squirm and suguru lets you, it's not like you can break away from his touch anyway. you use your legs to keep him caged in and closer to you eventually after the third 'pop' you heard coming from his mouth on your skin, it makes him audibly laugh for a second too.
you tug at the hand on your mouth, expecting for the task to be hard considering his build, but suguru lets his hand fall away easily and hold onto your thigh.
"what are you thinking pretty?" he asks mindlessly before going for the opposite side of your neck
"mmmm–about how good–mm–this feels."
"yeah?"
"mhm"
"tell me what you want to do. do you want me to drop you off at your place after this?" he blows on your most recent hickey and smirks when he sees you jump a little, "do you want me to get you food?"
"I want–ah!" suguru bites into your neck fairly hard, enough to make you moan and yelp at the same time, "I want to spend the rest of the night with you at my place. can we watch a scary movie?" the suggestion is simple and it isn't to hook up with him, although that's what you want more than ever now, but you don't want him to think you're that desperate so its what you settle for.
"couldn't imagine a better halloween than that." he smiles
you're under suguru, on your bed later that night, the movie you had been watching was long forgotten and the t.v. was turned off the second things started to get out of hand. it wasn't his fault no, suguru's a gentleman and when you said you just wanted to watch a movie, he was just going to watch the movie with you. you were the instigator. after you had been cuddled into his arms, near his neck, you decided to place a few loving kisses...that eventually turned into what this was with suguru getting up to take off and throw away his shirt while you hastily yanked off the long gloves of your costume.
he was needy, grinding his hips into yours the moment he came back down to kiss you.
"you have no idea how fucking bad I've been wanting you." he mutters, hissing when a particular rub pleases him the right way
it makes your back arch, "I think I do suguru."
"really?" he groans into your mouth, "you touch yourself to me like I do for you?"
"yeah." you sigh, clinging onto him even more, splaying your hand across the soft skin of his back.
"move your panties to the side."
when he feels your hand move down and follow his directions, suguru moves his down too and slides a finger across your soaked folds.
"fuck, this pussy is so wet for me. were you even trying to pay attention to the movie?"
"yes, I was." you complain, and whimper when he starts rubbing circles across your lower lips, gathering your slick for added stimulation after every rub.
he separates himself from kissing you to look down at his ministrations, mouth opening in a soundless moan at the sight.
"listen to this sloppy fucking pussy." he rubs faster and you start to jerk your hips up by natural defiance at the stimulation, but he holds you down "no, let me touch you baby." he says sternly
your breathing starts to pick up and you feel that familiar knot that only you can give yourself starting to build up in your stomach and suguru notices, looking up to smile at you.
"are you close angel?"
concentrated on the feeling, all you can do is nod your head and he speeds up his pace at it, garnering close to wanton moans from you and screech like whines.
"come on come on, cum for me pretty girl, cum cum cum cum–fuck, atta girl." suguru talks you through it, mouth opening in awe at the sight of your body going limp and your breathing slowing down, his cock even twitches at how cute it is that your legs kick a little when you cum too, he thinks he'll be able to keep them still when he gets make you cum on his cock.
you start to hiss at the overstimulation when he keeps rubbing your clit after your high, "'s too much suguru."
he doesn't stop, "you want to stop now then?"
the shake of your head makes his eyes light up and bite his lip with a grin, "then just let me keep going."
it takes all of your strength to lean up with one of your elbows and grab his wrist with the other, obvious strain written across your features when you huff, "I want you inside me."
like he knew that was what you wanted, suguru's grin grows wider, "are you sure?"
you nod your head in confirmation, followed by suguru saying, "so cute." before he gets up and pushes his pants and boxers down in one swift motion and climbs on top of you, manhandling your legs by pinning them to either side of your head into a mating press.
he lets his cock teasingly rub up and down your folds while he leans down to nip at your ears, "let's leave your little costume on yeah?"
you nod and make a face when his tip catches on your entrance
suguru lifts his hips at your confirmation and pushes his tip in, savoring the way you're beginning to invite him inside you.
" 's so big sugu." you whimper in shock at the larger than expected intrusion
"never taken a cock this big?" he pulls out and pushes in again a little deeper
"no." you rake your hands down his arms
suguru laughs, "good thing I'm here to provide then right? see, look at you creaming around me already."
the words make you look down at where you both meet and when he pulls out again, you can see the ring and slick on his dick, it makes you shiver.
"I'll–make–this–little-fucking–pussy-take–me." he punctuates each and every one of his words with a thrust that pushes himself deeper and deeper inside you until you can fully feel his tip grazing your cervix and every vein on his dick ridging against your walls from how girthy he is.
every sound that comes out of your mouth after is incoherent when suguru starts to punishingly pummel into you and god does he keep talking to you.
"you look so pretty taking this dick baby. god, you sound even cuter than I imagined. you like getting stretched out like this? fuck, take it take it take it. wish I could make you sit on it, you'd look so cute trying to ride me."
it's all so much, especially when every thrust is accompanied by a moan or groan of his or with a sentence.
"couldn't fucking wait to get home after the party last week too. wanted to rip off that costume and fuck you till you couldn't even scream. and when you wear those skirts with pantyhose to class?" suguru groans, "all–I–can–think–about–is–bending–you–over–and–stuffing–this–pussy–with–my–cum."
"suguru!" you squeal, "im–I'm gonna cum!"
suguru tightens his hold on your thighs at the admission and starts jackhammering into you, "cum around me baby. let me fuck you through it." it almost sounds like he's starting to beg, "just cum for me, cum for me, cum–"
a silent scream leaves your mouth and you trash in suguru's hold while he keeps his furious pace.
"so pretty, angel." his eyebrows knit as he watches you orgasm and feels you clamp down on him. it has his peak lurching across his body and his thrusts grow erratic as he starts spurting his cum into you.
he leans down to kiss you as his cock twitches inside of you, leaking his cum into you each time.
at the end of the kiss, the both of you are heaving against each other, smiles on both of your faces until you erupt into laughter and giggles.
suguru is still inside you and places a loving kiss on your forehead, swiping away your sweaty baby hair, "you're cute when you cum. you kick your legs a little, I like it."
the confession has you trying to shy away and suguru laughs again, caressing your head, "why are you shying away? you wore this costume for everyone to see just a couple hours ago."
"well this is you telling me you think the way I cum is cute, its quite different than guys looking at my thong." you shakily grab onto his shoulders
"I suppose so." suguru nuzzles into your neck, "do you have a bath?"
"yeah."
"let me start one for us then." he pulls out and both of you look down at your lonely entrance until his cum starts to leak out. suguru seems entranced and you can see his cheeks start to gain a red hue accompanied by the blood starting to rush to his cock too.
suguru looks back at you the moment you do too. you reach a hand out to him and he crawls back on top of you.
"we can do that later right?"
"right."

exboyfriend!Sukuna x f!reader.
cw: smut, outdoor sex, angst, controlling behavior.
Your date was a disappointment.
The guy wasn't an asshole or anything, but at some point he'd talked about cryptocurrency for ten minutes straight without you saying a word and there was no coming back from that.
"I had a great time," he tells you as you stand on the subway platform after finally escaping the restaurant. You nod noncommittally and wonder if this is the part where he asks for your number. You're calculating the risk/reward of giving him a fake number and having him potentially call it while you're still right in front of him when you hear a familiar laugh from behind you.
"I doubt it," the voice says and you close your eyes. Maybe if you wish hard enough you can develop teleportation and not have to deal with this.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" your date asks, his voice only wavering a little as he looks at your ex-boyfriend. Honestly, you admire him. The sight of the tall, heavily tattooed (alleged) criminal was usually enough to make people cross the street to avoid him but not this accountant? Investment baker? Dentist? Fuck, he'd talked about his job for thirty minutes and you had not been listening. You would have guilty if you weren't actively judging him for not even noticing your lack of engagement.
Whatever, he probably wasn't brave, he was probably just an idiot.
Sukuna seemed to agree as he laughed again and put his hand on your shoulder.
"I'm her boyfriend."
Your date looked at him, looked at you, and seemed to be weighing if this was worth one mediocre date. He seemed frozen for a second until Sukuna took a step forward and the guy's previously dormant survival instincts seemed to awaken and he booked it down the train platform.
Once he was out of sight, you took Sukuna's hand and dropped it off your shoulder like a fallen leaf that had got stuck on your jacket.
"Are you following me, now?" You wouldn't have put it past him. You turn to face your ex who looks not only unrepentant for his little routine but vindicated. Or maybe he just looks vindictive, you can never tell.
"Are you going on dates with any loser that asks?" He tosses back and you roll your eyes.
"You didn't even meet him."
"So, he wasn't a loser? And you weren't deciding if it was worth giving him a fake number and having him call you right then?"
You hated that he knew you so well.
"He seemed the type to call," you concede and Sukuna scoffs.
"Absolutely, that fucker is. Women have been giving that dumb fuck fake numbers since he was begging for them with his little Nokia flip phone."
"Is Nokia still a thing?" you ask and Sukuna glares at you.
"Do I look like Google to you? Hey, don't try to district me, princess. We were talking about how you seem to have gotten it into your mind that you can cheat on me with any guy with a pulse."
"I'm not cheating on, we're not together," you tell him as your train pulls up. You don't bother protesting as he follows you on it, even though you know the old apartment you used to share is in the other direction from your new place.
"The fuck we're not," he seethes. The other riders look at you and you see one or two guys deciding if it's worth trying to get involved but you're more concerned about the teenage girl who looks ready to fight this asshole for you. God, you loved women.
"You're making a scene," you tell him and he looks ready to make the scene Oscar worthy before you give him the look that used to make him not call your friends' babies ugly when you went to birthday parties.
"Where can we talk then?"
"I'm not taking you to my place," you say and he sucks his teeth.
"Then let's go home."
"You mean to your home."
Sukuna looks furious but you're not in the mood. You had just spent the past two hours on a terrible date, which made you think about how dating was just going to be like this until you found a new boyfriend or gave up, which then made you think about your break up and how up until a few months ago, you thought you would never go on a first date with anyone ever again.
You hated that Sukuna had put you here and you hated that you still loved him.
"I'm not leaving until we talk about this."
"There's nothing to talk about."
You're so tired, Sukuna is so close and it's been so long since you got to smell him or feel his warmth. Your apartment was still barely furnished but everything in it was new and it still didn't feel like home. The one sweatshirt of his you'd let yourself take had stopped carrying his scent weeks ago, and just being close to him now, it made something in you relax. Like you were finally home.
"There fucking is," he hisses and now he's so close you can make out the scar on his jaw and the fullness of his lips. You used to tease him that you'd never met a man whose lips were as soft as his. He may have looked like tough shit, but you would never catch him out of the house without lotion and chapstick.
You wondered if he was still using the cherry chapstick you had bought him at the grocery store the week before you'd broken up.
"Are you going to marry me? Are you going to give me a baby?"
"Princess-"
"Then there's nothing to talk about," you say and you thank whoever's watching that the train is pulling up to your stop. You get off and Sukuna is right on your heels.
"You don't even want those things right now, why the fuck does it even matter?"
"I want them eventually and if you're not willing to give them to me, then I just don't think I need to keep wasting my time."
You're roughly dragged into a nearby alley and tossed against a brick wall. Sukuna's hand cups the back of your head, taking the force of the slam and you hate that he watches out for you even when he's being a controlling jackass.
"Being with me is wasting your time? Who the fuck do you think you are?"
"Not your girlfriend," you snap back. "Let go, I want to go home."
"Fuck you," he tells you and you're about ready to fight him, grown scary man or not when he leans down and his lips are on yours.
They taste like cherry chapstick.
His hand on the back of your head tightens, his thumb pressing against your neck and making you shiver. His other hand is pressed tight to your jaw and when you gasp against his mouth, he presses down as if he can hold you open and consume you so you can't leave him again.
His muscled thigh is in between yours and you can feel the rough texture of his jeans, the same pair he wore to work, the same pair you'd put through the washing machine a thousand times, rub against where your legs are only covered in tights. The shorter than usual skirt meant to entice your date, and instead it was being taken advantage of by your ex-boyfriend.
Sukuna let go of your face so he could put his hand underneath the fabric of your skirt.
"New outfit?" He teases as his hand slides to the top of your tights.
"Got it for my date," you snap and he growls at you before he rips the seams of your tights. Before you can complain, he's dragging them down your thighs and diving into your panties so he can get to your cunt. The underwear is new too and a pained noise leaves you at the sensation of them snapping against your inner thigh, both at the pain and the thought of how much they cost.
"I still have those blue ones you like at home, the ones you wore for my birthday last year," he tells you as he slides his finger down the seam of your cunt. You're wet and it annoys you because orgasming has been a bitch to achieve since you had to start giving them to yourself again.
"You can keep them," you tell him and he bites your lower lip between his teeth, they'd always felt too sharp for a man and you know you're a twitch or a less than playful nibble away from a busted lip.
"They're not really up for wearing anymore anyway."
You want to ask him what he means by that as he kisses down your neck and thrusts one finger into you, the slide almost unholy.
"So fucking wet, your cunt was always better at talking than you were."
The sensation of being filled even though it's not enough it's not enough begins to itch at your need to be satisfied as your mind fills in the gaps of his previous words.
You can imagine Sukuna in the bed you used to share, the dark blue sheets and the comforter covered in a black pattern that had reminded you of the marks that covered his body. One hand holding your favorite pair of panties and the other his big cock, that sometimes you missed even more than him.
Did he use the panties to jerk off with, the fabric just an expensive tissue for his cum? Did he hold them to his nose and pretend he could still smell your pussy on them in the bed that used to smell like both of you? You had tried watching porn and reading smut, the stuff you had relied on before you were together, and nothing compared to what it felt like to come from his fingers, his tongue, his cock.
The only times you had touched yourself when you were together were when Sukuna had wanted to watch, his commentary pushing you to the edge. He had always known what to say.
Good girl, now try two fingers for me. Not enough? Do you need my cock? Fucking slutty princess, eh?
No matter how demeaning his words were, you had never felt true shame because his desire for you was always apparent. Sukuna never held back praise where he felt it was deserved, and he had always been quick to let you know that what you were doing was pleasing him.
"Pay attention to me, princess. I'd hate to think I was boring you." The words are laced with cruelty and the added pressure of a second figure is harsh, too soon, and still not enough.
The hand in your hair tightens, but the grip still careful not to mess it up beyond repair. Something you'd been adamant about in the beginning days of your relationship. The gentleness of it, of him, makes you cry out.
Since Sukuna was the only one who still seemed cognizant of how you were in an alley, only a right turn from being on a public sidewalk, he was quick to catch your moan in his mouth. Nearly purring in reply, a ridiculous thing for a ridiculous man to do.
"Fuck, that's it. No one else can make you feel like this, this cunt is fucking mine."
"Yes," you hiss out in agreement. Pleased with your concession, Sukuna's thumb swipes over your clit as he continues his punishing rhythm with his fingers. You can hear how wet you are as it echoes off the brick around you. Even though it's cold outside, you feel almost too hot between the warmth of his body shielding yours from the world around you and the heat that's continuing to build up in your core.
"So close, I know you are. Beg me, princess and I might let you come," he whispers in your ear and you would feel embarrassed of the whine you let out if you weren't so close.
"Please, Sukuna. Please, let me come!"
"I don't know. Not sure if I should reward you since you've apparently being going around giving this pussy to fucking anyone."
You shake your head. "No, I haven't slept with anyone since we broke up."
Sukuna kisses you so hard, you're grateful for the hand behind your head because you know his knuckles must be bruised from the force he kisses you with. Sukuna pulls back, a string of saliva connecting his lips to yours and you hate that you find that hot. That this whole thing is hot.
For a second, the softness in his eyes takes your breath away and you almost forget about where you are and what you're doing and why it's the worst idea you've ever had. He's just Sukuna, the love of your life and you miss him so much.
You think he might say something crazy like he loves you or even propose but then the softness is gone and he just grins at you.
"Alright, come then, you've earned it."
With permission granted, Sukuna focuses his attention on your clit in just that way you like in the way that only someone who's done this hundreds of times could do. He's definitely leaving hickies around your collarbone and neck, but for now they feel good and when you come, you bite your lip knowing it will be bruised. A reminder of how you're an idiot when you look at it in the mirror tomorrow.
Still soft with your orgasm, you reach down to return the favor but Sukuna grabs your hand.
"I'm not walking around with cum in my jeans," he tells you, kissing your palm. Typical of him, to end something crass with something sweet. You sigh as he puts you back down on the ground. You pull up what remains of your tights, the fabric uncomfortable on your quickly drying thighs. Your ripped panties lie on the ground and Sukuna looks at them forlornly before shaking his head, dirty alleyway panties apparently being too much even for him.
Sukuna grabs the bag you'd dropped when he'd kissed you and gestures for you to exit the alley. A few passersby give you strange looks but you figure if you were going to be arrested for public indecency, it would have happened already.
"I guess we're going to mine," you say. "I live like another two blocks this way."
"I know," Sukuna says already heading that way.
You blow a piece of hair out of your eye. "Of course you do."
When Sukuna actually types in the passcode to your building you almost lose it, but you're tired and honestly you had kind of expected to just come home to him already in your apartment at some point. Sukuna had never been great at respecting boundaries. Or the law.
You unlock the door to your apartment, it takes everything in you not to ask if he already has a key. You don't want to know. He follows you in and the two of you sit at the dingy two person table you have set up by one of the only windows.
"Cozy."
"Fuck you." He smirks in that way that has always made you want to punch him and you're reminded that you're currently wearing shredded tights.
"Sukuna, you wanted to talk. So talk."
The smirk leaves his face and he looks at his nails, pressing his thumb against the one on his pointer finger and then looking through the 'o' formed there. "You left."
"I did."
He looks at you. "Why?"
"You know why," you say, tired again.
"Sure, you want to get married at some point. You want a baby at some point. I don't see what that has to do with us, right now."
"Because right now leads to that some point. It doesn't just happen. There are things I want, that are important to me. If they're not important to you, then I need to find someone who has the same priorities as me."
"Because I'm not your priority," he says and this is the rehash of an argument you'd had a thousand times. Sukuna was selfish and possessiveness and while that had always granted you a certain security, it had also been a chain you'd constantly worn around your ankle. You weren't going to defend your time at work or with friends to your boyfriend. That belonged to a different time, to different women and it had been a nonnegotiable early in your relationship that he figure that shit out with himself.
"Sukuna, I love you but I'm not going to give up what I want for my future because you don't want it. You don't have to want it, in fact I appreciate that you've been honest about it-"
"So appreciative, you left me," the words are almost snarled and you sigh.
"That's not fair. You can't be mad I want something else, the same way I'm not mad that you want something else. It's not a character flaw to not want to get married, or to not what kids. It just means you have a person out there for you who shares that view. Because it's not me."
"Why can't it be enough to just have a life with the two of us?"
"It's not about whether or it's enough, it's about me wanting something else."
There's a pause. Sukuna claws at the dents already in your battered table and deepens the grooves as you try not to flinch at the sound of his nails bearing down on wood.
Finally, he responds. "You know, I spent my childhood, my teens and a lot of adulthood raising Yuuji because our piece of shit parents couldn't be bothered and let me tell you. It's fucking hard. It is constant and they need so much for you. I didn't do anything but work and watch him for almost two decades and I don't want to do that again. I want my own life."
"I understand," you tell him. "That was a lot, even if you did a great thing by taking him in."
"It wasn't because I was nice. You seem to be forgetting that I'm a murderer. And you want me to fucking watch Bluey with some brat."
"You may not be nice but you do right by the people you care about. I also don't think you've murdered a baby, it would probably be okay."
"That's more incidental than a conscience choice," he says and you know he has to hear how ridiculous he sounds.
"Alright. I respect your decision but for what it's worth, we're not kids anymore and you wouldn't be doing this alone. I think Yuuji turned out pretty great because he had you, and I think any kid of our would be lucky to have you as a dad."
"You would really do all that with me," he says and his voice is as close to wonderous as you've ever heard it. "You really are a lost cause."
You try not to react, remind yourself that this is always how Sukuna responds to affection. He'd laughed at you the first time you'd told him you loved him. You'd punched him and broken your hand on his chin. He'd told you he loved you in the ER as the attendant resetting your hand looked on in horror.
"I think that's enough for today. Thanks for stopping by and for the orgasm, appreciate it," you say, rising from the chair. You walk the short trip to your door and open it. "Hope you have a safe trip home."
Sukuna stays seated. "That's it?"
"Yeah, Sukuna, that's it."
"And if I said I could do this, I could give you those things."
You think about it and look him over. How his hands twitch as if only his ego is preventing them from clenching. The clear trauma that was informing his previous stance.
"I'd say take some time and maybe talk to someone. I don't want to do this with someone who can just bring themselves to bear it. I want them to be as excited as me."
"That's asking for a lot from a guy."
"But someone will do it." Sukuna looks angry again and when he steps in your space, you push him gently away with your hand. He goes to hold it and even the familiar scrape of his calluses against your skin can't make you waver.
"Bye, Sukuna."
Sukuna looks at you, waiting for you to give in you know but you won't.
He leaves without another word.
When the door to the stairwell slams shut, you finally let yourself cry.
----------
It's been a month since you've seen Sukuna and you're on another date.
The guy is unoffensive. He gave you a hug when you met up and he'd made a joke about the plethora of other couples at the restaurant. You two started playing a game where you tried to guess how many dates each couple had been on?
"Three, she's finally figured out she can't put up with how he chews no matter how nicely coiffed his hair is," your date says as you take another sip of your drink.
"That's a second date, his chewing is a commit or quit type of deal and she looks ready to go. Bet they didn't eat together on their first date."
"Is he telling the plot to Dune, he has not stopped talking since we sat down," he says and you giggle despite yourself.
You've just started on the couple both looking determinedly at their phones by the window when your phone rings.
"Sorry, I need to take this," you say and he smiles.
"No worries, I'll let you know how many times she misses her mouth while looking at her phone."
You wave as you go to stand outside. You take a deep breath and then answer.
"Hey."
"Hey, princess. Bad time?"
"No, just, what do you want?"
"Well, I'm planning this first date with this girl and I'm having trouble figuring out how to explain something."
You want to throw up, what kind of test is this?
"What do you want to say?"
"Well, I've heard that it's important to be straightforward with your intentions, so you don't waste anyone's time."
"And what are your intentions?" You manage to spit out and he laughs, his smugness almost seeping out the phone.
"Well not anytime soon, but eventually I think I'd like a little brat. You know, prove to Yuuji that he wasn't a fluke."
You heart is pounding and you hate him. You love him.
"Uh huh."
"And I guess it would probably be easier to do that if we just got married. You know, taxes, healthcare, I still don't have healthcare but my wife will and I've heard you can add people to that."
"This proposal is the fucking worst one I've ever heard," you say, trying to ignore the fact you are now crying in front of a restaurant. People walk by giving you pitying looks, probably think you got stood up.
"It's not a proposal, it's a framing of intent."
"Why do you talk like such an old man, we are almost the same age?"
"Why do you talk like such a brat?"
"You know-"
"Probably," he says and you laugh despite yourself.
"So when is this date?"
"Tonight," he says. "You can wear that dress you're wearing, it looks perfect on you."
"Are you fucking here, you creep?"
"That's no way to talk to your future husband and no. That place is a shithole, I'm at our usual."
"Good, I've missed it. No one makes my drink the way I like it," you tell him and he hums.
"Well, it will be waiting for you when you get here. So get here soon."
"Alright, I'll see you soon."
Sukuna hangs up and you stand there. There's a perfectly nice guy inside. One who makes you laugh and who maybe one day you could grow to love.
But there's another guy across town who is sitting at your favorite restaurant, ordering your favorite drink. His lips taste like the organic chapstick, he claims to be too tacky to be worth wearing but keeps it in his pocket anyway. He built all your furniture and let you paint your bathroom green even though you live in a rental. He's held your hair back when you were sick and cleaned it up even as he bitched at you for the mess and done a rather cruel impression of you retching.
There's another guy that you love.
So you go back into the restaurant to tell your perfectly nice date that something has come up.
Maybe you're a fool, but what else could you do?
Maybe this will be a series, idk. Being an adult is weird. This is def ooc but you know, let me work through things and call them fiction. That's what this account is for.

Breathin

dean winchester x angel!reader
1.9k | fluff, hurt/comfort, mentions of a panic attack
summary: as an angel, you are still understanding human emotions. so when your first panic attack crashes over your body, dean is there to help you through it.
the stale air of the bunker surrounded your senses, leaving the puffs of breath that escaped your mouth to feel even more empty. you didn’t know how long you’d been sitting on dean’s bed. thirty minutes, an hour. you weren’t sure. recently, time came as a blurred fog. a restless loop of counting down the minutes until you could finally think clearly.
you were new to all of this after all, only having been on earth for a couple of months after all the angels fell. you weren’t used to human emotions, only knowing the relaxing numbness of an angel that humans could never understand. you didn’t know what you were feeling or why you were feeling like it, but you wanted it to stop.
it all started a couple of weeks ago. dean and sam had gone out on a hunt, leaving you and your brother castiel alone in the bunker. everything was going great. you and cas were spending some time together and it seemed like everything was going okay with the winchester’s.
though that all crumbled when castiel informed you that he needed to go handle some business, leaving you alone in the bunker with your worries and thoughts. sam and dean had been gone for a couple of hours longer than they should’ve been, and a tight feeling in your chest was making the worry in your bones settle stronger.
the pacing started ten minutes into your alone time, and by the thirty minute mark, you had bit your nails down to the bone. when sam and dean finally descended down the bunker’s steps an hour after castiel had left, you had never run into a hug faster.
dean was surprised. you never were the touchy feely type. yeah, your spacial awareness was lacking, and he found that you catered towards his hip more often than not, but this time was different. you’d hugged him like you thought he was dead, flinging yourself into him at such speed he almost toppled over.
you had gripped dean’s shoulders with such fervour that his muscles started to ache. and when you started mumbling about how glad you were that him and sam were okay, dean knew something was really wrong.
he didn’t push though. he worried, a little more than he should be non the less. but he also knew that you liked your privacy. so only with your wishes in mind, dean decided to leave it be, only allowing himself to intervene if you did something that truly concerned him.
that left you struggling in silence, spending every second of the day worrying, convincing yourself that sam, dean, and castiel were dead in a ditch somewhere.
all of these emotions were so confusing. you were a warrior of heaven, a freakin angel of the lord. why were the smallest things worrying you to such a big extent? the constant stress got so bad, that the feathers in your wings started falling out, leaving piles around the bunker in your path.
it was like the equivalent of stress induced hair loss for angles, and castiel knew about it all too well. when he noticed the lone feathers littering the bunker floors, he immediately went to sam and dean, voicing his concerns on your strange behaviour and antsy motions.
all the times you worried before they left for hunts, coming home to you pacing the length of the library. it was all starting to click in their heads. your human emotions were starting to take a toll on you, and anxiety really was one nasty son of a bitch.
all of these emotions and multiple instances of panic led up to where you were now; wings folded around you like a protective barrier as you sat shaking on dean’s bed.
there were hot, sticky tears falling down your cheeks, and you didn’t understand why on earth you were feeling like this. angels don’t cry, and they certainly don’t get overtly stressed over things that shouldn’t matter.
a sinking feeling fell in your chest, and the walls of the room started to close in on you. it started to become clear in your mind that the room you were in was really underground, and the air started to become more restricted in your lungs.
your limbs started to shake, and soon enough, the small amount of air that you had left in your lungs was coming out in sporadic gasps. you didn’t know what was happening, and the unknowing knowledge and cluelessness on top of the lack of breath was adding even more worry to your head.
on the verge of rocking in place, a gentle hand on your shoulder sent a jolt of comfort into your body. your head snapped upwards, glassy eyes on display as you stared into the worried eyes of dean winchester.
he knew something was up with you, but he didn’t know it was this bad. and seeing you like this, all torn up and shaking like a leaf had him feeling like a complete jackass for not talking to you sooner.
you were clearly struggling, and dean understood better than anyone what the throws of anxiety could do to a person. he picked out the tremors in your hands, the way your upper lip quivered and tears fell quickly down your cheeks.
the quick up and downward motion of your chest wasn’t helping your air regulation, and the way you had your wings circling you had a clenching feeling settle in dean’s heart.
“hey, hey sweets. it’s okay, i’m here, you’re gonna be okay.” dean’s comforting words brought a semblance of peace to your hazy brain, yet the clutches of anxiety were dug too deep into your bones. your breathing was still all over the place, and in a last chance of hope to calm yourself down, you clutched onto dean’s shirt like a lifeline, the fabric tight between your fingers.
“it hurts dean,” you choked out, the man in question resting his hands on your shoulders and smoothing his palms up and down your arms. “i can’t breathe, why can’t i breathe?”
dean watched as your chest rose and fell, attempting to get some proper air into your lungs. he looked on sadly, comforting you to the best of his abilities. “you’re having a panic attack, angel. so i just need you to breathe with me okay? in and out baby, in and out”
you tried to follow dean’s directions, you really did. but breathing in and out didn’t seem to be working, and that sinking feeling in your chest was getting worse and worse. all of your worries had completely taken over, and you didn’t know if dean’s instructions were going to work.
“it’s not working dean, why isn’t it working” you choked out in a sob, head tilting upward so you could catch his eye. fat tears were falling down from your eyelids, making your face look devastatingly beautiful. dean just held you closer, whispering sweet nothings in your ear as he felt your sobs start to calm down.
“shhh it’s okay. it’s working see? your breathing is slowing down pretty girl, that’s what we want.” sadly, dean knew all too well about calming down anxiety attacks. sam struggled a lot when he was a kid, and dean was always there to make sure his little brother was okay. though dean wasn’t immune himself, and there had been countless times where he had to calm himself down from the clutches of anxiety.
as dean talked you down from the high of your panic attack, the air in your lungs started to come back less choppy, the hardness in your chest starting to dissipate. you were breathing in and out, following dean’s own breathing and watching as a soft smile lit up on his face.
“there ya go,” he encouraged, sitting across from you on his bed and moving back an arms length so he wasn’t overcrowding you. “that’s it angel, cmon you’re doing so good.”
finally, after what seemed like a millennia of struggling underwater, your breathing came back in a regular rhythm. you didn’t know what to do after this, not even knowing what just happened and somehow feeling even worse than before.
dean was rubbing his hand up and down your arm again, watching as you caught your breath and regrouped with yourself. he watched as you sniffled, and in an instant, silent tears started falling down your cheeks.
“oh baby.” dean whispered, pulling you into his chest as your tears wet his t-shirt. your arms were thrown around his shoulders, clutching the back of his shirt as dean rubbed his arms up and down your back. “what’s wrong? what’s going on in that pretty head of yours.”
a sniffle broke through the heaves of sobs leaving your lips, and with wet words, you told dean all the struggles and fears that have been taking over your mind. “i don’t know what’s wrong with me. i’m always worried when you and sam leave for hunts, and then when you don’t call or come back on time, i get even more worried. every little thing leaves an empty feeling in my chest, and i always feel like something bad is going to happen to you, sam, and cas.”
dean rested his chin on top of your head, leaning down slightly so he could press a comforting kiss to it’s crown. “it’s a human emotion, angel. a bad one that seeps into the pores of your brain and sink in terrible thoughts and worries to make you stress.”
you listened carefully, sobs halting as dean’s palm started smoothing up and down your back again. “sometimes, it gets so bad that the stress and emotional pain takes over your entire body, leaving you to succumb to what just happened to you.”
“but why is it happening to me? your voice cracked on the final word, a shakiness to it’s tone that had dean holding you tighter. “am i just some freak? some abomination like the angel’s call cas and i?”
dean’s heart clenched even tighter, and he wished that he could take all of your pain, bottle it up, and throw it into the deepest depths of the ocean.
“no pretty girl, absolutely not. you are far from an abomination, both you and cas. the angel’s don’t know what they’re talking about.” his words seemed to calm you down a little, yet he still wanted to help you understand that sometimes feeling like this didn’t make you a bad person. “hey. you want in on a little secret?”
you lifted your head from his chest, looking up at him with a certain curiosity and wonder that only an angel could possess. “sometimes,” he started, pulling back a little so he could look at you properly. “i get like that too. so does sammy.”
the lids of your eyes widened, a small noise of understanding leaving your lips as dean nodded his head. “it happens to the best of us angel, and you shouldn’t feel like you’re doing something wrong just because you reach your breaking point. when you start to feel like this again, come find me or sam okay? the best thing to have in these situations is someone to be there for you. and trust me, you’re stuck with us sweets, good luck shaking us off.”
his words sent a giggle tumbling from your lips, and dean’s smile widened as he leaned down to press a gentle kiss on your forehead. he mumbled a soft, “there’s my girl,” into your skin, loving the fact that you were okay and smiling after all that you’d just been through.
it was nice to know you had dean in times like this, his comforting presence calming your nerves down more than he could ever know.

five thirty
Dain Aetos x reader (Love!)
words: 1.0k
🏷️: no book spoilers, no warnings, set the week before fw begins, I decided to split this up so you’ll get Liam in the next one! I just wanted to post something today.
You don’t recognize the pattern of the knock at the door — it isn’t the specific rhythm your friends use to let you know it’s them. No point in answering, then.
The knocking stops, whoever it is outside seemingly giving up. You can roll back over and sleep until ten minutes before formation, like usual.
Then it starts again, louder.
You groan into your pillow, dragging yourself out of bed and grabbing a knife off of your desk before you unlock the door, pulling at Cosa’s power just in case. “…Dain?”
He wrenches his gaze away from the smooth expanse of your bare thighs as he speaks, his cheeks reddening. “Why aren’t you dressed?”
You bring a hand up to yawn, and the sleepy sigh you let out as you exhale stirs something in his chest. “It’s too damn hot for pants,” you answer finally.
He’ll give you that — it’s the second week of July, and the humidity is killer; he hasn’t been sleeping fully clothed either.
You realize he still hasn’t told you why he’s here. “Do you need something?”
“It’s Tuesday,” he responds, as if that should clear things up. “Leadership run?”
“Huh?”
“Every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30, all the leadership gets together for a group run. Nobody told you about this?”
You really hope he’s fucking with you, but he’s never seemed like the pranky type, too by the book to do anything like this as a joke. “Five thirty,” you repeat, to confirm. “Five thirty in the morning.”
“Yes. Which is in about…” he peers behind you, looking at the clock on your desk. “three minutes.”
You take a deep breath, considering shutting the door in his face and crawling back into bed, consequences be damned, when Garrick appears behind him, also dressed for a workout.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
It’s definitely not a prank. They’d never team up for something like this.
“Told you she’d be pissed,” Garrick says to Dain, grinning. “Now put some clothes on.”
You give him the finger, shutting the door with a gust of air and moving to go get dressed. Stupid fucking deathtrap military school, fucking morale leadership bullshit. If it wouldn’t get you in trouble with Brennan, you’d ask to be demoted just so you won’t have to do this twice a week.
You open the door again, seeing only Dain waiting for you. Of course Garrick would abandon you with him. He probably thinks this whole thing is hilarious.
You move through the hallway in silence, down the flight of stairs and out to the courtyard. The rest of the leadership is nowhere to be seen, but Dain seems to know where you’re going, motioning for you to follow him as he starts off at a steady jog.
You don’t bother to ask how long this run will be, because you know that the answer, whatever it is, is going to be too long. Thankfully he seems to notice that you need a break, slowing to a stop after a quarter mile or so.
“Remind me again why we’re doing this?” you pant, reaching for your waterskin — it’s only half-full, and a little stale, since you haven’t refilled it in a day, but you’ll take what you can get: you feel like you’re dying.
“It’s tradition,” he answers, as if that’s obvious.
“One that I cannot wait to end next year.”
He bristles. “You can’t just decide to end a hundred year old tradition like that.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time someone did,” you mutter.
You see Dain’s eyes soften, but you pull your gaze away quickly, not wanting to have this conversation right now. “I’m sorry,” he says quietly.
You swipe at your mouth with the back of your hand, not acknowledging the apology. “Come on. We’re behind.”
After another few minutes, you see a pack of at least a hundred headed toward you, likely on the second half of an out-and-back run. “About time you two joined us,” Garrick says, patting you on the back a little too hard as you fall in next to him and Bodhi.
“You were the one who left us behind,” you rasp. “And not everyone is as freakishly tall as you. You’re impossible to make pace with.” Speaking of freakishly tall… “Hold on. Where’s Xaden?”
“Your brother chose not to join us,” Amber Mavis answers, making it clear in her tone that she hates the pair of you — and that she doesn’t respect your self-described relation to the wingleader. As if you didn’t hate her enough already.
You turn your head in her direction, hoping the look on your face makes it obvious how much you despise everything about her. “You’re telling me this is optional?”
“Not for you, princess,” Garrick answers. “When you’re a wingleader, you can decide how to spend your mornings. Until then, you’re here with us.”
Great.
Another knock.
You scrape yourself off the mattress, not bothering with the knife this time: you know it’s Dain, here to wake you up. You’re still sore from the last run — you hadn’t had time to stretch first, and even though you’d missed part of it by being late, it was still too much for you.
“Gimme a minute,” you mumble in greeting, not bothering to close the door as you turn around to find socks and shoes.
“Did you sleep in your running clothes?” he asks, watching your little wisps of air move through the room, straightening up and making your bed.
“Mm,” you reply. “Saves time.”
“Smart,” he comments idly. His eyes catch on the small brown shape floating down onto your pillow — a stuffed bear.
Your cheeks warm as you realize what he’s looking at. “Yes, I brought him with me. He was one of the only things that survived the fire.”
“I understand,” he reassures. “I had a little green dragon for a while. It got lost when we moved outposts. I was inconsolable for a week, apparently.”
“Aw. Did you find it, or just get another one?”
“Neither,” he answers, still looking at the bear. “I just got over it, I guess.”

“baby keep talking, but nobody’s listening!”
anime: jujutsu kaisen
characters: gojo satoru, choso, fushiguro toji
summary: they find you on a date with someone they've never seen before, but they don't need to look for long to see how bored you were. deciding for you that it would be the first and only date you ever went on with that man, they come to your rescue.
warnings: afab! reader, she/her pronouns used, reader is on a date with a man, said date sucks ass (trying to regulate what y/n eats, snarky comments, egotistical, rude to hospitality workers), shoko/itadori/shiu help set you up on a date but they suck at it
↣ gojo satoru
"satoru, you have to get out," you huff at him, crossed arms over your chest. he sat on your cough, flicking through tv channels. "my date is coming here in ten minutes!"
"you mean the stranger that shoko met at the mall and said would 'totally be your type'?" he says, looking over his shoulder to you. you raise a brow. "c'mon, blow him off. we need to finish 'the last of us'!"
"don't you dare watch it while i'm gone, satoru, or god so help me—" your phone rings, interrupting your threat. you answer when you see the number of your date. "hello? oh, yes, this is y/n."
you begin to walk to grab your keys and your bag, satoru following after you when you suddenly stop.
"oh, uh... you want to meet there?" you say, tilting your head, "no, that's fine, i'll leave now. see you—..."
"he's not coming to pick you up?" satoru questions, watching as you take out your car keys.
"he's actually already there. and he's ordered for me." you say with a bit of doubt in your voice. satoru can hear it. "it's fine, i should go now. don't you dare watch that show, i will kill you. see you, satoru."
the whole time you're gone, he can’t do anything. he’s sitting in silence for an hour, not even looking at his phone. he felt angry at himself.
so he followed you, obviously.
he looked up the restaurant you had mentioned to him before and saw the pictures posted online. it looked like such a nice first date place. and that boiled even more jealousy in him. of course he had to follow you.
and luckily he did; you looked miserable.
he takes out his phone as soon as possible.
“you know how many calories are in that meal?” your date said after the waiter left your table, “way better for you than what you wanted.”
you had just told him your favourite dish in the menu. and he told you he ordered you just a salad. while he got two meals because he was ‘bulking’.
when shoko showed you his instagram, you had to admit that he was cute. he was fit too, and you did your fair share of exercise. he had a nice smile and he also posted photos of his dog. but that couldn’t shield you from what was right in front of you.
you found out he was a model for a magazine you’ve never heard of, and while that was impressive, it was his whole personality. you asked about his pet, and he somehow turned it back to his career and how he did a fireman themed calendar last year. you’d think he was surely more than that, but it didn’t seem it. you had barely talked about yourself. it didn’t look like he was interested anyway.
“hm, what did i do today?” he thought out. you cringed at the way he tapped his chin, pretending to think. “i hit the gym at 5am, walked my pet for an hour and a half, took some photos for my resume since i’ve got a new deal coming up, and spent time from then to now just at the studio.”
you were waiting for him to ask about your day. he doesn’t.
“and you know, i’m actually the most valued model at my studio. they always call me for shoots, i’m always first on their list. you’d think i could catch a break every so often,” he chuckles out, rubbing up and down his arms. you hold back from rolling your eyes as you sip your water. “but it’s hard being so… handsome.”
you stare at him and fight the urge to roll your eyes once again.
"what about you?" the moment you've waited for comes a little too late. you're not even interested in speaking about yourself.
"well, i did some grocery shopping this morning—"
"what did you buy?"
"me and my friends are having a movie tomorrow, so i just bought some snacks for us," you explained for some reason, "chocolates, popcorn, chips—"
"junk food?" he scoffs back, "no, no, you don't need all that. you oughta' bring it back and get some fruit. way better for you."
you down the rest of your alcoholic drink you had ordered (the one thing he did let you choose) and look away.
that is when you feel a hand rest on your upper back.
"excuse me, ma'am," you look up and widen your eyes when you see satoru standing before you. he's wearing a white button-up, black slacks, dress shoes and a black waist apron. you freeze up. "the gentleman over there asked me to give you this, already paid for."
you look over to where he was pointing. nanami sits in his own suit as he waves his hand at you, pained smile. satoru places a mojito in front of you. your date stands up.
"the hell? doesn't he see that i'm here?" he scoffs as he stands up. his chair screeches against the floor, which collects everyone's attention in the restaurant. "he's insulting me! what a prick! i'm gonna fuck him up!"
"hey!" you stand up as he begins trudging over. satoru places a hand on your shoulder to stop you, and you see nanami roll his eyes and stand up as well, ready for the fight. "what are you two doing here? and why are you dressed like that?"
"i'm the ultimate undercover agent, of course," he replies. he begins pulling off his apron and dropping it on your seat. he hooks his arm with yours and smiles. "let's get outta' here."
"but my date—"
"he's fine," you watch as nanami dodges one of his punches with and irritated face. "nanami will take care of him."
you let him whisk you out of the restaurant while everyone is watching the two men fight (not really). satoru walks you to his car and starts the engine. you see nanami's car behind his.
"did you seriously bring him along to get me out of that date?" you chuckle as you stare at him. satoru purses his lips and looks away. "thank you, satoru. you didn't have to."
"you're welcome, gorgeous," he responds to you, "i could tell from the phone call that he wasn't all that. wonder what barrel they fished him out of."
you let out a small sigh and look out the window. you were embarrassed; this was the first date you've ever been set up on, and it went horribly. you knew you should've left earlier, not wait until satoru came along. he was your saviour for today, you had to admit.
but what was even worse, you seemingly let than man talk to you like that. you could chalk it up to just being friendly and giving him the best benefit of the doubt, but deep down you know you would never have let that slide with people you know. hell, yaga could speak to you that way and you would still give him an earful.
"don't be sad, y/n, now we can go to yours and watch our show," satoru attempts to cheer you up. he flashes you a smile. "i promise, i won't eat all your food."
"you're a liar, satoru." you laugh back.
"seriously though, that guy was a wreck. why did he keep talking about calories and stuff?" he mumbles out with a disapproving shake of his head, "i had to shut him up somehow. i should've just spilt the drink over him."
"oh god, what about the food? i didn't pay for my meal."
"you mean the salad you didn't want? i cancelled it for ya'."
"why aren't you this nice all the time? you usually bully me." you claim in a joking matter. satoru pouts at you. "i appreciate this, a lot. i guess guys who only ever think about themselves aren't my type."
there's a quietness in the car as he turns on his indicator. you enjoy the little noise coming from the radio, a song that you've heard quite a lot.
"you know, yuuji, nobara and megumi?" he clears his throat.
"yeah?" you respond to him in confusion.
"yeah," he hums with a nod of his head, "i think 'bout them a lot. they're good kids."
"they are," you agree with him. it takes you a few seconds before you look at him again. "satoru, that's not what i meant."
"so am i your type?"
"oh my god."
"answer the question, y/n."
↣ choso
"yuuji?"
"yeah?"
"do you know who this is?" choso shoves his phone into his brother's face.
"uh, that's y/n." yuuji responds in a bit of confusion. the two of them were sitting in a new restaurant with ramen on their tables. choso’s sat nearly untouched for the past ten minutes as he flicked through some pictures you sent to a groupchat with him in it. yuuji was halfway through chewing noodles when choso asked him about the photo you sent a few minutes ago. “why? she looks good.”
“no doubt,” choso mutters in response as he zooms in on the other figure in the picture you took of your reflections in the window, “i mean him.”
“oh, that’s the guy who me, nobara and y/n saw last week at the movies,” yuuji responds, “he asked y/n for her number, so i think they’re out together right now.”
he looks at yuuji in disbelief as the pink-haired boy starts slurping on the soup. it takes him a few seconds to properly react.
“are you serious?” choso says a little loudly. people turn to stare at the pair. “you let him get her number?”
“what? he seemed cool and y/n didn’t seem to mind that i gave it to him.” yuuji holds his hands up in defense as choso angrily glares at the photos on his phone screen. “you said you weren’t gonna’ make a move on her anyway!”
“that doesn’t—” a groan leaves his lips as choso holds his head. he lets in a deep breath. “okay, it’s fine.”
“i’m sorry, choso.”
“no, it’s my fault, i did say i wasn’t going to ask her out,” he tells yuuji, who slowly goes back to eating, “i… i missed out, i guess.”
yuuji frowns as the guy in front of him sadly eats his food.
“you know…” he begins with a small smile. choso looks up to him. “they’re just out for lunch nearby. y/n told me where they were going. we could—”
“yuuji! hurry up!” choso has grabbed his jacket and is rushing to the door before yuuji can reply, “we might miss them!”
yuuji scurries out of restaurant after he gobbles down his ramen. it isn’t too far of a drive, actually. it took about 15 minutes to get there and choso had easily spotted your car in front of a cozy cafe. he parks next to it and almost ducks when be notices you in the chair facing the window, facing the two of them, with your date sitting in the booth — your favourite spot. choso always let you sit in the booth side.
choso clutched onto the steering wheel with gritted teeth. yuuji looked towards you to get a better view.
“huh… she looks annoyed.” yuuji points out.
“this guy…” choso grunts.
inside the cafe, you had taken a few photos of your food and your drink. you’re glad yuuji suggested this place, you loved the service and the food here. the servers were always so nice and helpful and quick, and the food was amazing too.
it was obvious to you that your date didn’t think the same.
“god, everything in here is so…” he begins as he examines the design on his waffles. he cringes a little. “girly.”
“it’s just a bunny design,” you point out as you sadly stir the cat-shaped foam into your hot drink, “it’s cute.”
“it’s embarrassing,” he reiterates. you purse your lips and sip your drink. the delicious taste was enough to make you forget his sour tone. until he speaks up again. “can’t believe your friend told us to go here.”
“i love this cafe,” you state, “everyone here is so nice.”
“the service is slow and they gave me the blueberry waffles instead of the normal ones like i said,” he complains. you set your drink down and hold back from rolling your eyes. “i don’t care how busy you are, you always check five times that the order is correct.”
you don’t even reply to him after that, only trying to enjoy your meal that you paid for. he wasn't helping at all. you thought that because he was so charismatic when talking to yuuji that he was probably a good catch, but you couldn't have been more wrong. maybe he was just putting up a front in order to score you. you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover anymore.
"hey. over here," he begins to snap his fingers and nodding at a server with four full plates of food. the guy looks over frantically, obviously under pressure. "i wanna' ask you something."
"ah, right, give me a second, sir—" the guy was trying to distribute the food with the customers who he was serving.
"i told you, slow service," your date scowls towards you. could you be any more embarrassed right now? the server finishes off his task before coming over to you two. before he can even ask, your date is holding up a nearly empty cup of coffee. "this is the most bitter coffee i have ever had in my whole entire life."
"oh, well, you ordered an americano, sir," the poor server explains, "they tend to be bitter."
"what? no, no, no," the guy in the booth starts shaking his head, "i ordered a flat white."
"you..." the server begins. he was the one who had taken your order too.
"you ordered the americano, actually," you pointed out. the guy raised a brow at you, unamused. "it's okay, you can just order a flat white—"
"god, i did not order an americano." he claims.
but you distinctly remember him saying 'americano' for his drink. and the server repeated the order back to him before it was confirmed annoyedly. you stare down at his nearly empty cup.
"y'know what? just put the flat white on the tab, i will pay for it." you sigh out as you rub your neck.
your date looks more pissed off as the server leaves.
"he was wrong, you don't have to pay for another drink." he mutters out.
"it's nothing, don't worry." you retort and stare back down at your food. you didn't have an appetite anymore and a few minutes pass in silence.
the flat white comes out after such a long time of waiting. your date drinks it quietly, but you notice that he makes a face to show he doesn't like it. you quickly excuse yourself to go and pay at the counter for your food (he insisted on splitting the bill since he didn't like the place) so that you don't have to hear him bicker about it.
"hey," you turn behind you to see choso standing there in a baggy hoodie, a bit nervous, "fancy seeing you here..."
your eyes flicker to outside, where you see yuuji waving at you from choso's car. a smile lands on your face.
"nice to see you, choso," you mutter back as you fish out your wallet. the cashier rings up your total and you press your card to the reader. "how was your lunch with yuuji?"
"good. we cut it short to save you," he bluntly says. you blink as he glares at your date. "i don't like the guy you're with."
"me neither," you sigh out, "i think this is the last time i'll see him. but i gotta' tough it out for the rest of the date."
"you could just leave now." choso adds. he looks at you with furrowed brows.
"ah... i'm not that confident—"
"a takeaway box and takeaway cup, please," choso asks the cashier. she had been sitting there and silently agreeing with you that the guy you were sitting with was a total jerk. "thank you."
he places them in your hands and pushes you gently towards the table.
"who the hell is this guy?" your date scoffs and glares at choso, who does the same back.
"look, i'm not really having a good time on this date," you say as you play with the takeaway boxes. choso hastily takes them from you and fills it with your food in an organised matter. "i think this is the farthest we go. please enjoy the rest of your food, though."
"you serious? ditching me for some jackass?" he accusingly points at choso who wears a shit-eating grin on his face. "this is bullshit!"
"calm down, god..." you groan and rub your temple, "i just don't like you, you're so rude."
"me? you're the one who dragged me to this shithole!"
"shut your mouth before i drop you right now," choso scowls as he pushes the guy back into the booth seat. everyone was watching now, quietly thanking choso for showing up and dealing with him. "grow up, man. you act like a child."
choso grabs your hand and tugs you out of the cafe. you both thank the service with your takeaway in hand. yuuji gets out of the car with a wide smile once you two get closer.
"so, how did it go?" he asks with wide eyes.
you throw your keys at his chest.
"you're driving my car back to my apartment as punishment for setting me up with that asshole," you say with a small frown. you all knew you didn't really blame him, though. "never giving my number out to anyone ever again."
yuuji apologises thoroughly before getting into your car and driving off in the wrong direction. choso opens your door and gives you the food. once he's inside the car himself, he starts it up and begins driving.
you rest a hand over choso's on the middle console.
"thanks, choso," you sigh out, "i should've done that earlier."
"it's fine, y/n, i just wished i came sooner." he replies.
you stare at the side of his face, how irritated he looked just thinking about your date. a smile settles onto your lips and you brush your thumb over his knuckles. he falters and looks back to you for a second before muttering a 'what'.
"i'll take you out for dinner as a thank you," you state, which makes his ears go red, "you're a sweetheart, choso."
"i... uh, yeah, i'll go out with you," he mutters, "thanks..."
the laugh you let out is worth ruining thousands of your dates.
↣ fushiguro toji
"have you ever been to france?" the conceited finance guy in front of you asks, fixing his tie. he wears this smirk on his face that proves that he just knows how rich he was. he wasn't coy at all. you force a smile and shake your head slowly, trying to enjoy your meal at least. "really? that's a shame. i've been plenty of times before, and i've gotta say, the best part is..."
you begin to zone out, sighing to yourself as you move your pasta around on your plate haphazardly. he had chosen such a nice italian restaurant to absolutely ruin your perception of this guy after the first ten minutes of talking to him. you look to your watch, showing it had been only two hours since your date started.
cursing out shiu in your head, you cautiously look out the window to the sky. it wasn't that dark yet, but it felt like your night had been taken away. your mind wanders to yesterday to your conversation with shiu.
shoe
you're getting picked up at 5 tomorrow
y/n
am or pm?
shoe
???
shoe
don't show him how stupid you are, he's a rich guy. maybe he'll bring you to a yacht
y/n
why would i want to be on a yacht for our first date? is he nice?
shoe
he's rich, y/n. that's all that matters.
sometimes, you wonder how he managed to meet all these people. but then you remember that assholes attract assholes. they move together in flocks.
you stare at your red wine and tap your finger on your cheek.
"what do you think about it?" he questions, getting your attention again. you look up to see his smug face. did he really want to know?
"oh, me?" you asks, sitting up straight. you had no idea what he had been saying for the past 15 minutes.
"well, who else would i be talking to, silly?" he says in this mocking tone.
'yourself, it's who you've been talking to all night', you internally say. you had wasted such a nice outfit too. it was such a shame.
"mmm, well, it's a bit—" you begin, only to get interrupted.
"it's insane, isn't it? how could you lose so much money in only a year?" he barks out a laugh, as obnoxious as he was. the table shakes as he bangs his fist against it, waiters and guests looking towards you two. "it's absolutely preposterous! i would never make such a decision like that."
you chew out an awkward laugh before turning to your wine, sipping it.
unknowingly to you, toji was waiting in the car outside the building, getting a good view of you and your new date. he cursed shiu in a huff; not only did he set you up with someone, but the guy was a total prick. he couldn't have done a worse job, and he was broke. he pulled his seat back, watching him with pointed eyes. that guy's mouth hadn't stopped moving ever since you entered the restaurant.
and you? you looked gorgeous, your dress hugged you just right, so much so that he was jealous. toji knows it should've been him to go and take you somewhere like this.
he snaps when the guy calls the waiter over, complaining about his half-eaten food and causing a scene. you looked so uncomfortable. standing up, you excused yourself to the bathroom. and toji is quick to get out of the car.
"he's such an asshole." toji claims as you exit the ladies room. you freeze, pressing out the creases of your dress before walking closer to him at the end of the hall.
"when did you get here?" you ask, hand on your hip, "and how do you know he's an asshole?"
"been watchin' the whole time from the car," he tells you, watching as you widen your eyes and tilt your head at him, "what? couldn't help myself. shiu said you were on a date with some rich guy, 'n i had to see it."
"yeah, well, remind me to kill shiu. he's got the worst taste in men." you sigh out, crossing your arms as you lean against the wall with him. he peers at you. "you know he asked to try every single wine they had before we ordered? and he complained about the merlot not being darker. not only that, he saw my plate and said 'are you gonna' eat all of that?'. the dickhead!"
"that shit looked good." he commented, shaking his head, "who wouldn't finish that food."
"right? ugh, i hate him so much. and he hasn't even asked me about myself other than my name. he explained to me his 'entrepreneurship' and dropshipping. wanted to clock him in the face." you complained more, only fueling toji's own hate for the man.
he lifts himself off the wall, grabbing your arm and dragging you with him. "go 'n get your things. we're gettin' out of here."
"what? what am i supposed to say to him?" you mumble, stumbling behind him, "where are we going?"
"don't say anything to him. if ya' feel bad, pay for your own food." he explains to you, hand moving to rest on your back, "i'm not lettin' you waste that pretty little dress on someone like that guy."
you stare at the back of his head before falling into step with him, stopping at the table with your date. he does a double take once he sees toji, slowly standing up.
"who's he?" he asks, scanning him up and down.
"none of your business." toji retorts, looking down at him.
you begin to grab your purse when he holds out his hand to you. "where the hell are you going?" your date asks you.
"here. for my food." you say, handing him a fifty. the note flutters onto the table in front of him, which he stares at in awe. tugging on your jacket, you stare back at him with furrowed brows. "good luck in life."
with that, you turn around and begin to walk to the exit. behind you, toji sticks his tongue out at the other man and follows after. his hand finds your back once more and you wait to cross the road, sighing out to him, "thank you, toji. saved me."
"no problem." he replies, opening the door for you.
"how did you get in my car?" you ask, sitting in the driver's seat.
"don't ask." he tosses you the keys, making you wonder even more. he gets into the other side, looking back at you. “we’ll hit up that restaurant downtown. the one you always talk about wanting to go to.”
“but you said you don’t like their cuisine.” you claim, starting the car.
“it’s the only place i know that’s fancy.” he explains, looking out the window.
“sweetheart, i wouldn’t say that’s fancy—”
“do you want to go out or not?”
you laugh, reaching out a hand and holding his. he gives a small smile before looking back at you. “thank you, toji.” you say, stopping at a red light. you glance at him, sincere look in your eyes. “it means a lot that you care.”
“jus’ saving you from being stupid as fuck.” he tells you, making you roll your eyes and snatch your hand back, “could ya’ not tell he was a tool when he didn’t knock at your door? motherfucker waited in his car.”
“my god, you’ve been watching since then? toji!” you jokingly reprimand, looking at him for a split second, "i should've known from the start though... he was on his phone the whole time, in the car ride. on bluetooth speaker too."
"i woulda' jumped out the car." he retorts, shaking his head, "we should jump shiu."
"we really should." you laugh, smiling at him, "maybe for our next date."
toji can't help but roll his eyes. he knows deep down that you were hoping shiu was going to set you up with him instead. he can see it on your face, a smile that is pushing through on your lips. you're secretly happy that it was toji who 'ruined' your 'date'.
"i say that because i know you can't pay for dinner."
"did you think i was paying for this one?"
you scoff back, elbowing him, "you leech."
"you know you love me." he says it teasingly, but he knows better than anyone that you actually do.

┌──────────────────────────────────────┐

➣ characters: gon, killua, kurapika, leorio, hisoka, illumi, chrollo
➣ a/n: decided to add the rest of the gang because my acc is looking more and more like a kura fan page each post
└──────────────────────┘
G.F
- gon has a very strong immune system
- he was a small child the last time he was sick, being the kind of person who very rarely contracts anything
- so it would catch him off guard if you came down with something
- but don’t worry; he’s very determined to cure you
- being from a rural area, getting medicine meant walking all day to the market side
- so his family had always taken to homemade remedies
- and trust me, they have endless concoctions and rituals to get rid of illness
- aunt mito would whip you up about eight different types of tea infused with every ingredient under the sun
- and gon would probably watch you throw away a tissue and stop you, telling you “out here we burn those to ward off future sicknesses”
- you might get a little tired of their placebo medicines that aunt mito swears by because “gon never gets sick anymore” (it’s because he has ging’s genes—even viruses are repelled..)
- although he’s generally a free spirit, he becomes much more meticulous when you’re under the weather
- and seeing him carefully cook a soup for you, weighing each ingredient and starting over a few times is rather endearing
K.Z
- another great example of someone who never gets sick (though for him it’s due to his training)
- and although it might seem like he’d be bad at taking care of you, he’s not too shabby
- he doesn’t have any personal goals, no obligations besides sticking by you—meaning he’s able to be with you constantly
- the two of you would probably watch movies all day
- you’d ask him for a new object every ten minutes or so
“can you get me that box of tissues?” “i need my water..” “go grab a blanket please—“
- and he’d do it every time
- he’s truly a softie when you’re like this, all mopey and weak
- he’s definitely the most fun person to have when you’re sick, though far from the best influence
- he’s no avid chef, so if you want takeout and snacks all week, he’ll cave to your raspy pleas
- and if you don’t like the taste of the medicine, he’ll only insist and tease you a little before he backs off, greatly prioritizing your wants over your needs
K.K
- kurapika doesn’t have a lot of time to coddle you while you’re sick
- besides, he can take a very realistic approach to things like this—you won’t die from the common cold
- he also has far too much experience shrugging off illness in favor of slaving away at the office
- he has such bad health practices that he assumes you’ll be okay solely on the principle that he was (he was not, he just refuses to take breaks)
- but this doesn’t mean he won’t listen to you
- all you’d need to do is tell him you’re uncomfortable or in pain and he would be at your side
- as previously mentioned, he won’t take the day off work to stay at home with you
- but if you asked, he’d stop by during his lunch and take a few breaks to check on you
- he’ll get you everything you need, trusting you to be able to take the medicine on time and eat when he’s not there
- other than that, he’d advise you to rest, even carrying you back to bed if he found you around the house doing anything moderately intensive
L.P
- leorio’s a huge stickler on staying healthy, and i’m sure you’d notice yourself getting sick less often
- he’s the type of person to remind you to take your vitamins or tell you to wash your hands the minute you got home
- but when you do get sick, he’d probably stay at your side
- expect to report every single symptom you have
- when you study (and work in) health so closely, you become aware of all kinds of conditions
- he wants to make sure any severe complication is recognized early on
- especially since he knows many afflictions present as a cold while being much more serious
- he’s a great caretaker naturally
- you could stay in bed all day—he’s got your meals and medicine covered
- hell, he’d carry you to the bathroom, not wanting you to strain yourself
- part of this stems from pedro, really..
- even if he knows you’ll be fine, he can’t help but smother you sometimes, seeing his late friend in you
H.M
- hisoka doesn’t care if you’re sick, unfortunately
- he’s just not the nurturing type
- he wouldn’t mind running a few errands for you though
- in fact, he would practically beg you to delegate all your daily tasks to him
- it was a golden opportunity for him to mess with you
- he’d go to your job to ‘pick up a few papers you’ll need to work from home’
- and end up detaching the arm from the coworker you always complained about
- he really takes advantage of the fact that you can’t stop him for the next few days
- at least when it comes to your health, he’s reliable enough
- he’d stick a thermometer in your mouth each morning, curious if you’d be sick another day
- and he wouldn’t shy away from being around you—he’d probably still kiss you and everything, not at all concerned with getting sick himself
- if you ever tried to point out that you shouldn’t be sharing saliva, he’d say something like
“i’m a murderer and you think i’m afraid of a few germs?”
I.Z
- very surprising but he’s quite good with your health
- now i know what you’re thinking; he never gets sick, he must be clueless..
- but he’s actually far from it
- he was parentified for most of his life, leaving him to deal with the young kids
- and what are young kids prone to? illness
- so he learned all the ins and outs of coming down with a cold—what actions are too intensive, how to reduce each symptom, which medicine is most effective, etc
- while he’d put you in the care of a servant most of the time, he’d occasionally check in to ensure you were being properly assisted
- he doesn’t do this out of affection, more so instinct after having gone through the motions with 3-4 other children before you
- besides, it’s an excuse to antagonize or kill the servant if they make a mistake
C.L
- chrollo can really be a gentleman when he wants to
- he loves to spoil you under normal circumstances, so when it comes to being sick, he goes all out
- he’d steal mountains of medicine, pain relief, ice packs, plushies; anything to make you comfy
- this man would get you the fanciest soup from a high class restaurant just for lunch
- and he’d be by your side as often as he could be
- it’s not that he’s worried about you necessarily, he’s just a man who finds pride in taking care of what’s his
- in this case, that’s you
- his goal is to make sure you don’t have so much as a want, because everything you could even think of is already in front of you
- and he does a damn good job at it

Love beyond Deepspace
Chapter 4: A Dance in the Dark
Summary of the chapter:
Taking a familiar shortcut, you turn a corner—only to face a dead end. The alley feels different, the walls taller, the path distorted.
Then, a rustling in the shadows. Something is watching.

The soft morning light filters through your curtains, casting gentle shadows across your room. Your eyes remain closed as you stir, your mind still wrapped in the remnants of sleep. Instinctively, you reach out, searching for the warmth beside you—
But there’s nothing.
Your fingers graze only the empty sheets of your own bed.
A hollow feeling settles in your chest as you open your eyes, confirming what you already suspected. You’re back in your world. The ceiling above you is familiar, your nightstand is the same, and your phone rests beside you, waiting for your attention. But something feels... off.
You lift your hand, absently pressing your fingertips to your wrist—the same place where Rafayel had grasped it last night. A lingering warmth pulses faintly under your skin, almost like an echo of his touch. You shake your head. It must be your imagination.
Riiing!
Your phone alarm jolts you from your thoughts, snapping you back to reality. Work. You have to get ready.
You sigh and sit up, rubbing your temples before pushing yourself out of bed. The morning routine flows like muscle memory—shower, makeup, coffee, breakfast. Yet, as you stand by the kitchen counter sipping your coffee, another strange sensation tugs at the edges of your awareness.
The faint scent of saltwater.
Your brows furrow. You aren’t anywhere near the ocean. And yet, for a fleeting moment, you swear you can hear the distant rush of waves.
It fades as quickly as it came, leaving you wondering if your mind is just playing tricks on you.
At work, you settle into your daily tasks, letting the rhythm of routine ground you. The occasional email, the steady typing of your keyboard, the hum of quiet office chatter—it’s all normal.
A little before lunch, with some time to spare, you pull out your phone and tap open Love and Deepspace. The familiar loading screen flashes before Rafayel’s face appears on the home screen. His eyes seem to meet yours directly.
A soft, unbidden smile tugs at your lips.
I hope I can see him again.
Just as the thought crosses your mind, Rafayel’s expression seems to shift ever so slightly. His lips curl into the faintest of smiles, almost as if he’s responding to your gaze.
Your breath catches.
For a moment, it feels like he is looking at you.
Your heart skips a beat, but you shake it off with a quiet laugh. I must be overthinking.
The day passes in a blur. Unfortunately, work drags on longer than expected, and overtime keeps you at your desk past your usual clock-out time. By the time you leave the office, exhaustion clings to your bones.
You just want to go home.
Taking the usual route will take longer, so you decide on a shortcut—a quieter path through an alley that shaves a good ten minutes off your commute. You’ve taken it before. It’s safe enough.
But tonight, the alley feels different.
The city lights flickered in the distance as you hurried down the alleyway, your breath escaping in small puffs in the cool night air. It was late—too late. Normally, this shortcut would have you home in no time, a path you’d taken countless times. But tonight… something was different. The alley felt strange, as if the walls had stretched higher, the paths twisted unnaturally. Your footsteps echoed as you turned a corner, only to find yourself at a dead end.
A rustling noise broke the silence, making you freeze.
Your eyes scanned the shadows. Then, from above, a figure swooped down—its wings slicing through the air. You gasped, stumbling back as a mechanical crow landed before you. Its sleek, dark form glowed with red eyes.
You knew this crow.
“Mephisto?” you whispered, disbelief thick in your voice.
No way. It couldn’t be. But as you stared at the crow, the sinking feeling in your stomach confirmed what your mind was refusing to accept.
Before you could fully process it, a presence emerged from the neon-lit haze at the end of the alley. A tall figure moved with fluid grace, stepping into the dim glow of a flickering streetlamp. When his crimson gaze locked onto yours, a slow, knowing smirk curled on his lips.
“Finally, we meet, Kitten.”
Your breath caught in your throat.
Sylus
He stood exactly as he did in the game, but somehow… even more imposing. His white hair caught the neon light, tousled but effortlessly framing his sharp features. The black blazer over his shoulders shifted as he moved, and the red streaks on his shirt resembled feathers, almost raptor-like in their precision.
Except now, he wasn’t just a character. He was real.
You opened your mouth, but no words came.
Sylus tilted his head, amusement glimmering in his red eyes as he observed your stunned silence. “Speechless already? And here I thought you'd at least say my name.”
His voice was deep, rich, and unmistakably real. It sent a shiver down your spine, and you tried to muster a response, but before you could, Sylus closed the distance between you in one swift motion, his arms sweeping under your legs and back.
“W-Wait—!”
Your protest was cut off as he effortlessly lifted you into a bridal carry, like you weighed nothing at all. Your heart raced in your chest, and instinctively, you grabbed onto his shirt for balance. The warmth of his body was undeniable, his grip firm yet gentle.
“Much better.” His smirk deepened, and the teasing glint in his eyes made it clear he was enjoying this far too much. “Can’t have you wandering around lost now, can we?”
You stared up at him, still processing the absurdity of it all. The faint scent of his cologne mingled with something distinctly Sylus—dangerous, intoxicating. Your brain struggled to catch up with reality, but you were no stranger to this world anymore.
Were you really surprised at this point?
As if reading your thoughts, Sylus chuckled softly. “You’re handling this surprisingly well.” His eyes gleamed with an unreadable glint. “Not even a scream? No demands for answers?”
You exhaled sharply, finally finding your voice. “Honestly… I don’t even know if I should be surprised anymore.”
That earned a low, velvety laugh from him. “Smart girl.”
With Mephisto soaring ahead, Sylus carried you effortlessly through the maze of alleyways. His strong arm kept you cradled against him, the other hand holding your heels by the strap, as if it were nothing more than a casual afterthought. The weight of your shoes in his hand only added to the surrealness of the situation. His other hand felt steady and secure around your waist, making you feel surprisingly safe despite the chaos of the moment.
Your arms instinctively wound around his neck for support, your fingers brushing against the soft fabric of his shirt. The proximity was overwhelming, and the warmth of his body made your heart flutter.
The looming silhouette of the Onychinus base soon appeared, its crimson lights reflecting off the sleek metal structures, casting an eerie glow over the area.
As you neared, it hit you—you were truly here. In the world of Love and Deepspace, within the territory of the most dangerous man in N109. And that man, currently holding you like a prized possession, was clearly savoring the moment.
A shiver ran through you—not of fear, but of anticipation.
And from the way Sylus held you, his smirk knowing and sharp, it was clear he wasn’t planning to let you go anytime soon.
Up close, the base felt even more imposing. Towering walls of reinforced steel stretched high, lined with layers of interlocking plates that gleamed under the red luminescence. It was a fortress—cold, unyielding, and built with a precision that left no room for mistakes. The only entrance visible was a massive steel gate, flanked by automated sentries, their glowing optics tracking everything that moved.
But the moment Sylus approached, the guards and security drones remained motionless. There was no need for passwords or scans—his mere presence was enough to grant him passage.
Inside, the air carried a mechanical hum, a constant undercurrent of power running through the base. The hallways were sleek, lined with hidden panels and silent surveillance. Occasional flickers of red light traced along the walls, pulsing in time with the quiet whir of unseen machinery.
Despite your initial apprehension, you couldn’t help but take in your surroundings. The space felt surreal—like stepping into the heart of a hidden empire, far removed from anything you had known. You could feel the calculated precision of it all, the power that pulsed through these walls, even if you couldn’t quite grasp its true source.
As if sensing your thoughts, Sylus let out a low chuckle. “Taking it all in, Kitten?” His voice was smooth, laced with amusement.
You turned your gaze up to him, noting the sharp glint in his crimson eyes. Even now, he was watching you carefully, studying your reactions like a predator gauging its prey.
“…It’s different from what I expected,” you admitted quietly.
His smirk deepened. “Good.”
As he carried you deeper into Onychinus, passing by corridors that twisted into unknown depths, you noticed how the few people present either avoided looking at him directly or subtly stepped aside. There was no question—this was his domain, and nothing here moved without his approval.
When he finally stepped into a more private hallway, the heavy door before you slid open with a quiet hiss. The space beyond was different.
Eventually, Sylus carried you into his private quarters, a stark contrast to the cold efficiency of the base. His bedroom was grand yet suffocatingly intimate, wrapped in dark hues and warm, flickering light. The four-poster bed stood as the centerpiece, draped in rich, black fabric that absorbed the glow of the fireplace crackling nearby. A deep red, abstract painting hung above the mantel, its bold strokes resembling the remnants of a battlefield, or perhaps something far more personal. The scent of leather and faint embers filled the air, mixing with something distinctly him.
Ornate armchairs flanked the fireplace, their dark upholstery gleaming in the dim light. A round coffee table with a blood-red surface sat near the foot of the bed, accompanied by a smaller side table where a glass of amber liquid rested, undisturbed. Bookshelves lined the walls, their contents illuminated from within—rows of leather-bound volumes, small decorative objects, and a few things that felt too curated, as if meant to hide the real treasures behind them.
Sylus approached the bed, lowering you onto the plush mattress with a deliberate slowness. Yet even as he sat beside you, his grip on your waist remained firm, fingers pressing lightly against your side. A soft thud broke the silence as he casually set your heels down beside the bed, as if only now remembering he had been carrying them all this time. His fingers lingered at your side before he finally leaned back slightly, watching you with an unreadable expression.
“I knew you had been here before,” he murmured, amusement flickering in his crimson gaze. “I saw you through Mephisto the first time you appeared.”
Your breath hitched. He had seen you?
A flicker of unease curled in your stomach. A memory surfaced—fleeting, yet vivid. That night, the first time you found yourself here, you had felt it—a presence lingering in the dark. And then—a gleam of red, watching, unblinking.
At the time, you had brushed it off as a trick of your anxious mind, a stray light in the shadows. But now…
Your fingers curled slightly against the fabric beneath you. “That was you?”
Sylus tilted his head slightly, white hair catching the dim light. “Didn’t expect you to come straight to me, though.”
You swallowed. “I didn’t exactly choose to,” you admitted. “I don’t control when I come here. One moment I’m in my world, and the next, I’m here. Then I get pulled back again.”
Sylus listened carefully, his gaze sharp and calculating as he absorbed every word.
After a moment, he exhaled, leaning back slightly. “The Deepspace Tunnel,” he murmured. “It might be the cause.”
Your brows furrowed. “The tunnel?”
He traced absent patterns against your wrist with his thumb, thoughtful. “It’s an anomaly—barely understood, even by those who claim to control it.” His eyes flickered toward you again. “But don’t overthink it too much.”
“How can I not?” you murmured.
His grip on your waist tightened slightly. “Because I said so.”
There was no arrogance in his voice—just quiet certainty.
And then, his hand moved, fingers threading through your hair in a slow, deliberate motion. His touch was unexpected, a stark contrast to his usual sharp edges.
“I’ll protect you,” he murmured. “No matter what.”
The weight in his words made your breath catch.
Before, he had seemed untouchable—dangerous, commanding. But now, something else had settled in his gaze, something warmer, something that had been waiting.
His fingers brushed along your jaw before withdrawing, but his eyes never left you. “Meeting you in person was worth the wait.”
You looked away, but you could still feel the intensity of his gaze, lingering on you as if he had no intention of looking anywhere else.
Sylus chuckled, voice low and velvety. “Shy now?”
You swallowed, unsure how to answer.
His smirk remained, but there was something unmistakably affectionate beneath it now.
You shifted slightly, hyper-aware of the warmth of his palm still resting on your waist. His touch was firm yet unhurried, fingers splayed just enough to remind you that he wasn’t letting go anytime soon. The weight of his presence beside you was almost suffocating, but not in an unpleasant way—it was something else, something deeper, something you couldn’t quite name.
Sylus tilted his head, crimson eyes scanning your face as if mapping every flicker of hesitation, every unspoken thought. His thumb brushed absently against your side, a slow, deliberate movement that sent an involuntary shiver through you.
“Still not going to look at me?” His voice was teasing, but there was an underlying softness to it now, a quiet pull beneath the usual sharpness of his words.
Your fingers curled slightly against your lap. “You’re staring too much.”
His low chuckle was a vibration against your skin. “Maybe I like the view.”
Heat crept up your neck. You could feel the smirk on his lips without even looking. He wasn’t just teasing now—he was watching, waiting, gauging your reaction like a predator testing the waters before making its next move.
And yet, despite the intensity, there was no rush. No pressure. Just Sylus, his unwavering attention, his steady hold, and the space between you that felt thinner with every breath.
You exhaled slowly, willing your pulse to steady. But with Sylus so close, his touch grounding you yet simultaneously unraveling your composure, it was impossible to ignore the slow, creeping warmth spreading through you.
“Careful,” he murmured, his voice a rich hum against your ear. “You might make me think you actually like this.”
Your breath hitched as his fingers flexed slightly against your waist, the warmth of his palm seeping through the fabric of your clothes. It was a casual hold, effortless in its possession, but the unspoken weight behind it sent something electric down your spine.
You finally turned your head, meeting his gaze. His red eyes gleamed, dark and unreadable, but there was something else there, something deeper—something that made your stomach twist in a way you weren’t sure you were ready to acknowledge.
Sylus tilted his head, smirk deepening. “There she is.”
Your lips parted slightly, but no words came. He was too close. Close enough that you could catch the faintest scent of something subtly sweet—like the lingering trace of expensive liquor on his breath.
And then, as if sensing the turmoil in your silence, Sylus lifted his hand from your waist. But before you could process the loss of warmth, he instead trailed the backs of his fingers lightly down your arm, slow and deliberate.
“You’re trembling,” he noted, amused.
“I’m not,” you lied, though the slight waver in your voice betrayed you.
He chuckled, a knowing sound that sent another rush of heat through you. Then, with the same ease he always carried, he leaned in just enough to brush a stray strand of hair from your face, his touch lingering a fraction longer than necessary.
“Liar,” he murmured.
Your breath caught in your throat as his fingers ghosted over your skin, his touch featherlight yet deliberate. The corner of Sylus’s lips twitched, amusement flickering in his crimson gaze as he studied your reaction.
"Do you always get this flustered," he mused, voice laced with quiet satisfaction, "or is it just me?"
Your fingers curled against your lap, knuckles brushing against the fabric of his sleeve. You wanted to push him away, to put some distance between you—but at the same time, the heat of his presence was intoxicating, holding you in place like a gravitational pull you couldn't resist.
“I—” You started, only to falter. Because what could you even say? That he was too close? That his touch left an imprint on your skin, even after he pulled away?
Sylus exhaled a soft laugh, low and indulgent. He leaned in again, just enough that you could feel the warmth of his breath against your temple.
"You really don't have to say anything, sweetheart." His voice was velvet, smooth and unhurried. "Your body tells me everything I need to know."
A shiver ran through you, and his smirk widened. He wasn’t letting up. Not yet.
But then, as if deciding to show mercy, Sylus finally leaned back slightly. His fingers, however, remained at your side—no longer holding you in place, but not letting go either.
"Relax," he said, the teasing edge in his voice softening just a little. "I don’t bite… unless you want me to."
Your breath hitched again, and that guy had the audacity to chuckle, clearly reveling in every little reaction he pulled from you.
You shot him a glare, though you weren’t sure how effective it was with the heat still lingering in your cheeks. Sylus, of course, only looked more entertained by your struggle. His fingers flexed slightly against your waist, a silent reminder of just how close he still was.
“I swear, you enjoy this way too much,” you muttered, shifting slightly in place in an attempt to put some distance between you. But the moment you moved, Sylus’s grip tightened—not forcefully, just enough to keep you exactly where he wanted you.
“Can you blame me?” His voice was smooth, dripping with amusement. “You’re adorable when you’re flustered.”
You huffed, but your pulse betrayed you, still thrumming a little too fast from his lingering touch.
Sylus studied you for a moment, then—finally—his hand slid away, his warmth fading too quickly. He leaned back slightly, exhaling a quiet chuckle as if indulging in some private amusement.
"Alright, alright," he said, a lazy smirk still playing at his lips. "I'll be good. For now."
You eyed him warily. "That doesn’t sound very reassuring."
Sylus chuckled, tipping his head to the side as his crimson gaze met yours once more.
"Smart girl," he murmured. "You shouldn't trust me so easily."
You couldn’t help but swallow, his words sending a shiver down your spine. You were trying to ignore how his gaze made your pulse quicken, how his proximity made it hard to think straight.
“I never said I trusted you,” you replied, trying to sound more confident than you felt. Your heart was still racing from the way he looked at you, as if he could see through all your defenses, even the ones you didn’t know you had.
Sylus’s smirk deepened, his gaze never leaving yours. He leaned in slightly, his face just inches from yours, making it impossible to ignore the tension hanging in the air between you.
“You don’t need to,” he murmured, his voice low and smooth. “But you will. Eventually.”
Before you could respond, there was a sudden shift. The room seemed to fade around you, the edges of the world blurring and distorting in a way you couldn’t comprehend.
And then, just as quickly as it had started, the world snapped back into focus. Sylus was still there, watching you, but his presence felt distant now—like something was pulling him away.
You blinked, confusion flooding your mind. "What—?"
But the words never left your lips.
The room began to fade once more, and this time, you didn’t feel the pull or the shift. You didn’t feel anything at all. The last thing you saw was Sylus’s eyes, locking onto you with an unreadable expression.
And then, everything was gone.
You blinked, a strange emptiness settling in your chest as you found yourself standing in front of your apartment door. The familiar sights of the hallway were sharp in contrast to the surreal feeling still lingering in your mind. Your hand hovered in the air, as if the memory of Sylus’s touch still clung to your skin.
It felt so wrong to be back. The warmth, the intensity of his presence—it was all gone now, replaced by the quiet hum of the real world. You could almost feel the echo of his hand resting on your waist, that subtle heat that had made you forget everything else. Now, standing here, you could only feel the coldness creeping in. The apartment, once familiar, now seemed too quiet, too still.
You wanted to turn back, to feel that closeness again, even if everything about it had been strange and unsettling. The way his gaze had never wavered, how his smirk always carried something deeper… You couldn't deny it now. You missed it. Missed him. Even after everything that happened.
But he was gone. And you were here, in this quiet hallway, with only the faintest memory of his presence.
Back in the room, Sylus sat still, his gaze fixed on the spot where you had been just moments ago.
He didn’t move, didn’t speak. He simply watched, as if waiting for something that wasn’t coming.
Just like that.
The room felt colder without you, the silence more oppressive. He had known it was possible, had anticipated it, but the reality of it still caught him off guard.
He glanced around, half-expecting you to materialize from thin air, to return as suddenly as you’d disappeared. But nothing. Only the emptiness remained.
You were here. And now you’re not.
Sylus exhaled slowly, his hand resting on the bed beside him, fingers gripping the sheets. The absence was heavier than he expected, like something was missing—a presence, a warmth he couldn’t ignore.
He didn’t know when or how you’d come back. The randomness of it all made it impossible to predict. But one thing was clear: he would wait. He wasn’t going anywhere. He didn’t know when it would be, but he’d be here, ready for the moment when you returned.
Until then, he could only wait—and somehow, he knew he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about you until he saw you again.

Fix You Fix me (Bill Skarsgård! Eric Draven x Female Reader) (Au)
Read Chapter 8 here / Series Masterlist
Chapter 9
Summary : A few secrets come out.
Warning: Fat shaming, body shaming, manipulation, domestic violence, child abuse, cheating, reader lacks bit of a spine, emotional abuse, reader's weight will be mentioned because the fic demands it
You scrolled on Instagram incessantly, Jake had been posting stories on his account from the gala. He still hadn't responded to your messages or calls, you understood that he was busy, but did he not care even a little? Did his anger really overshadow his love for you?
You kept watching the same stories over and over again, especially the ones he had put with the beautiful woman in red, her dress seemed awfully similar to yours. You didn't think much of it because you knew her, it was Maura, she was a second year resident in his department.
Did he take her to the Gala as his date? The pictures seemed that way, he was always with her even in the group pictures..You had met her quite a few times and she was always nice to you. Jake got along with most of his colleagues, they always raved about what a genius he was in his field.
It still stung though, him not caring and then happily putting pictures for the world to see. Did he even miss you?
It's been four hours since you took the medicine, the bath and applied the cream, it didn't burn anymore but your skin was still red and uncomfortable.
Around 9 at night you felt really hungry so you decided to go out and get something to eat.
As you stepped out of your house your phone buzzed.
Eric : Doing better?
You blinked, staring at the message for a moment before you began to type.
You : Yes. All thanks to you.
You pressed send and he immediately responded.
Eric : Good.
Eric : You looked really uncomfortable earlier.
You hesitated before typing again, your fingers hovering over the screen. For a moment, you considered telling him the truth..that Jake still hadn’t called, that you’d been crying on and off all evening, scrolling through photos of him laughing with strangers. But instead, you chose something vague because he wasn't your friend, you knew how guarded and professional he was and you didn't want to overstep.
You : What is the name of that joint you took me to a month ago?
You smiled faintly at the memory as you pressed send.
Eric : Salt and Pepper
He responded immediately. You couldn't help but chuckle at the name.
You : Cute. Nice of them to name the place after the only seasonings they use in their food #BoomRoasted #MicDrop
****
“Jesus, you're smiling at your phone. That is crazy. That is unreal. What is it?” Chance asked him as he caught the subtle soft smile Eric had on his face so he shrugged in response.
“Nothing. Just saw a funny video”
Chance narrowed his eyes at the lie but didn't press further. He had known Eric for years now so nothing really was ever hidden from him but he decided to give him his space.
Eric typed another response.
Eric : Funny. You're still going back
You smiled as you read the message.
You : Never said I didn't like it. You had dinner?
Eric : No I was actually going there too after closing the gym.
You : How long before it closes?
Eric : Half an hour
You : Okay
You bit on your lips, hoping it won't be too weird.
You : I don't want to eat alone, do you want to go together?
You were close to the gym as you sent the message, hoping he'd respond before you'd pass by it.
And he did.
Eric : Cool. Come to the gym if you are on the way.
You smiled and took a deep breath, as you reached inside you saw Chance at the front desk.
“You're coming with us?” You asked him so he leaned over the desk.
“I'd love to but i gotta go see my girl..by the way were you texting him just now?” He asked you so you nodded, not thinking much of it.
Ten minutes later Eric returned from the gym area so you waved at him. He gave you a small nod.
The walk to Salt and Pepper was quiet, but not uncomfortable. You watched the streetlights flicker against his sharp profile, and for a moment, you let yourself enjoy the silence.
“Are you feeling okay?” He asked finally you so you turned to look at him.
“Not really” you chuckled but he could see it, he could see how your eyes seemed puffy as if you had been crying nonstop.
“Does it hurt?”
He asked another question so you nodded.
You answered the question he had meant to ask.
Once inside, Eric asked you to find an empty booth and he went into the kitchen to probably greet his friends.
When he returned he passed you a menu card.
“I thought you'd ask them to make the same thing as last time”
“I don't want to do that all the time..you choose whatever you want to eat” your smile faded as he said that. Whenever Jake took you someplace he often ordered for you, when you were lucky you got to choose and it would always be a cheeseburger if you could help it.
“Can I ask you a question?” You said as the food arrived, it was a simple chicken sandwich.
You watched as he put the boiled chicken in his mouth and hummed as if it was a delicacy.
“Yeah”
“Is it normal for Guys to have like work best friends like female ones?”
Eric glanced up from his chicken, chewing thoughtfully as he studied your face. His brow furrowed just slightly. Should he just tell you what he knew?
“Yeah” he said finally, voice calm. “I think it’s normal. Work brings people close. Long shifts, stress, deadlines... people bond over it”
You nodded slowly, trying not to seem too interested but Eric saw the flicker of emotion in your eyes.
“But” he added, wiping his mouth with a napkin, “There’s a line. Boundaries matters when you’re in a relationship”
You looked down at your plate as he said that.
“Jake got one of those”’
You said as you picked up your sandwich to your mouth but your appetite was suddenly gone.
“What do you mean?”
“There's this resident Maura, she's really beautiful, they're friends as they work the same shift most of the time. I think he took her to the gala when I messed up-”
“Did he tell you he was taking her?” Your eyes teared up as he said that.
“He was really upset with me..I called and texted but he didn't respond..i can see why he's upset but-” you said as you took a bite out of the sandwich to keep your tears at bay.
“It's not your fault. You said you messed up but you didn't. You got hurt and you were in pain..stop blaming yourself for this”
Your eyes welled up even more so you put the sandwich down on the plate and placed your palms over your eyes. You didn't want to cry and embarrass yourself in front of your personal trainer. Not Again.
“Sorry, maybe I'm overreacting “ you said as you calmed down a little and took a deep breath.
“No..you're not”
He walked you home that night, well your building was on the way but you still appreciated it. He even slowed down his steps for you..
Throughout the week you didn't hear from Jake, your mom called everyday and asked you to send another apology text so you did but he still didn't respond.
On Saturday Jake finally called you after ignoring you for days, he seemed too cheery, they had just made him the head of neuro at the hospital.
“You don't seem too excited” he said as he cleared his throat, his tone different now as if he was hurt.
“Ofcourse I am..I'm always rooting for your success Jakey..it's just..you have been avoiding me for 5 days-”
“And you think you didn't deserve that?”
Your eyes teared up as he said that.
“I was hurt-”
“Yeah but you still ruined my plan, thank God that Maura came for my rescue and accompanied me otherwise…jesus i don't want to ruin my mood..did you think i wasn't keeping a check on your well being? I called your mother and asked her about you everyday -”
“You did?” You asked, a little surprised, maybe that's why your mother has been asking about the allergy every day since. But why didn't he just call you if he was so worried?
“Anyways get ready..we are going out to celebrate, some of my colleagues will join me…dress nicely” he suddenly shifted the conversation, you looked at the time, it was 2 already. You had to be at the venue around 3 for Eric's qualifier.
“Uhhhh Jake i..i need to be somewhere”
“Where? What exactly could be more important than me?” He asked, a chuckle escaping him “Come on, stop with the tantrums..I'll pick you in half an hour..you know I love you right?”
“I love you-”
As he hung up you found yourself in a dilemma, you had promised Eric you'd go to cheer for him, but you didn't want to upset Jake again. Maybe you could go with Jake and then go to Eric's event..you figured it would last for a while.
*******
Eric was a nervous wreck behind the stage, Chance was there to keep him calm but he still felt really anxious, for months had been preparing for this day. If he got qualified, he'd make it to the next round. That's what he needed to do today.
“Can you give me my phone?” He asked Chance so he immediately took his phone out of his pocket and gave it to him.
As soon as she picked up he smiled. She wanted to be here today but she wasn't doing well and he didn't want her to overexert herself.
“Hi Mama”
He said softly, his nerves were on fire, the closer it got to his turn the more nervous he became.
“Hey bug”
“I'm just really nervous right now..i feel like I'll puke” she smiled as he said that. The kind he could hear on the phone.
“That's normal, it's a big day for you..you have been working so hard” she said softly “Just remember, results don't matter okay? I know you'd give it your all”
He hummed as she said that, like always she was in his corner, it didn't matter whether he succeeded or failed, not to her.
“Did she come?” She suddenly asked him so he shook his head.
“Regina? No? She's busy with something -” he lied.
“You know I'm not asking about her” he sighed as she said that.
“No she didn't come”
“Maybe she will..there's still time” she reassured him.
“Yeah it's uhh it's not a big deal” he said.
“You always say that” she shook her head “Ask Chancey to record the video and send immediately”
“Will do ..i think my turn is up..I'll call you right after okay? Love you”
As he hung up, he opened the messages to see if you had sent something but you hadn't, not even an excuse as to why you didn't come. You said you'd be here by three but it was 3:40 already..a part of him wanted to ask if you were doing okay but then he hesitated. Maybe you just changed your mind or maybe you forgot like Regina did.
He handed the phone back to Chance.
His shoulders tensed. He didn’t want to feel this today of all days, this ache of disappointment. Not today. Not after everything he’d put into this. Not when he was supposed to be feeling stronger than ever today.
“You good?” Chance asked, eyeing him.
Eric exhaled slowly, rolled his shoulders, and stood up straighter. “Yeah. I’m good.”
But as he stepped toward the curtain, waiting for his number to be called, he scanned the crowd one more time. Just in case. Just in case you were late but he didn't find you, he had even given you the pass for the first row and you weren't there in your seat where you were supposed to be.
*********
Two hours had passed, you had been at this pub for two hours, watching Jake laugh his heart out with his colleagues, you didn't understand most of their inside jokes and doctoral conversation so you sat there like a mannequin picking on your food and smiling every time someone looked your way. You noticed how Maura kept hitting his shoulder playfully.
When clock finally hit 5 the regret set in, you had promised Eric that you'd be there, this was your one chance to show him some support in return for what he had done for you so you really wanted to be there.
Around 6 you finally ran out of the pub after Jake was drunk enough to let you go. As you reached the venue, you caught up with one of the staff members
“Hi—sorrry..did the physique event finish already?”
The woman checked her clipboard and gave you an apologetic look. “Yeah, the last batch just ended about twenty minutes ago”
You were too late.
You nodded back, swallowing around the lump in your throat
“Right. Thanks.”
You stood there for a moment, unmoving, gripping the crumpled pass still clutched in your hand. First row. The seat he had saved for you. Shame washed over you like cold water. He had shown up for you when you didn't even ask him to, this was your one chance to give it back to him and you failed.
You didn't even know how you'd face him again but you knew you had to, the least you could do was apologise and ask if he made it to the next round. Congratulate him if he did. Give him the present you had gotten for him.
As you went to the gym, he was at the front desk, typing something on the computer. As you entered he finally looked at you, his hair was wet like he had just showered, the shirt clinging to his skin.
“Hey-” you mumbled as you stood against the counter on the other side, your fingers tapping on the wood nervously.
“Hey”
“Look I'm..I'm so sorry i swear I wanted to come but Jake..he ..he needed me and i ..i didn't know it would take so long and you're supposed to cut me off mid speech” your eyes teared up as you finished so he finally looked up from the computer.
“It's not a big deal..just relax” he said to you but he sounded too relaxed, a part of you knew he wanted you to come, he had asked last night if you were coming or not.
“No it's a big deal..i made a promise and i failed and i-”
He cut you off.
“You didn't fail, you prioritised the man you love..it's okay really”
Now for some reason that hurt even more than his anger would have.
“Did you qualify?” You asked him as he got up from the chair and began to collect the files that probably belonged to his clients.
“Yeah I did...its just the qualifier though”
“It's a start ..I'm happy for you, i knew you'd make it..Congratulations”
“Thank you..you here to workout?” He asked as he tucked the files between his arm and headed for the gym area.
“No..i..i have to go home, I'm a bit tipsy” he nodded before he went inside.
Before leaving you reached into your purse to take out the gift you had brought for him, you were going to give this to him before his round but there was nothing you could have done now to change it.
You placed it down at the edge of the counter, right next to the bell, then you left for home.
Later that night, when the gym had gone quiet and the last client had left, he walked back to the front desk.
He paused, eyes landing on the little figure next to the bell.
A slow smile crept across his face, tired, conflicted, but real. He picked it up, thumb running over the engraving on the small statue.
Mr. National Physique Champion
It was the bobblehead of a man in a squat position with the barbell on his back, the look of determination on his face.
The thing was, that figure looked exactly like him so he knew you must have gotten it personalised.
He sat down slowly in the chair behind the counter, bobblehead still in hand, his head moving at the slightest movement.
You did show up. You wanted to. And He didn't blame you for picking the man who you thought loved you, the man you saw your future with.
He opened his eyes and reached for his phone, then he clicked a quick picture of the Eric bobblehead. He typed a message. Deleted it. And then typed it again-
Eric : Thanks for the gift. He has a better form than I do.
“So Silly” he mumbled softly as he kept playing with the bobblehead.
The bobblehead nodded silently in agreement.
******
Later that evening as you went home Jake had returned to your apartment after days as he was drunk out of his mind from this afternoon at the pub.
He was slumped on the bed, eyes glassy and half-lidded. At the sound of the door, he groaned and stumbled, feet wobbling toward the bathroom “Don’t… talk to me,” he slurred, clutching his stomach. “Gonna hurl.”
He disappeared behind the bathroom door, you winced at the sound of retching. You knocked just to make sure he was okay or if he needed you but all you heard was him asking you to leave him alone.
You sat down on the bed, waiting for him to come out but then his phone suddenly buzzed, a single notification popped up on the screen.
You couldn't see the message because the phone was locked but you could see the name. Maura Sanders.
Your heart sank into your gut for a moment, they were colleagues, maybe she just wanted to ask if he was doing okay.
The phone buzzed again. This time you couldn't help yourself, you already knew the passcode, he never told you, you had just figured it out. It was his birthday.
You unlocked it quickly before he'd return, hands trembling as you entered the code, then you opened the messages..
Just one line...but it felt like a gut punch.
Maura : Last week has been amazing. I miss you already.
Your breath hitched. The room began to spin around you, and your grip tightened on the phone like it might steady you. Just one message. That’s all it took to unravel everything.
Your heart pounded against your ribs, your skin flushed hot with disbelief, then cold with betrayal.
For a moment you tried to convince yourself that you were overreacting, that they were just two colleagues who were also friends, perhaps something exciting to do with work. But then the photo sealed it. A selfie of her laying in bed, her cleavage on display.
You noticed how this was the only message in their thread, that means he had been deleting them after every conversation.
Erasing it as if that would make the infidelity disappear.
Anger surged up your throat like bile.
Anger, rage, humiliation, heartbreak, all tangled up. She was there in the pub, laughing with you or on you as if she wasn't trying to fuck your boyfriend behind your back. How could she do that to you? How could he do that to you? Your hands began to shake violently now, and you dropped the phone onto the bed as if it burned.
Tears welled in your eyes, but you blinked them back. You didn’t want to cry.
When he eventually came he looked at you, annoyed as if you were the one to put him in that position.
He looked at you as if he wasn't breaking your heart behind your back.
“I'm going back to my apartment..i need a glucose drip” he said to you but you didn't answer, you kept staring at him. He walked towards the bed, grabbed his phone, put it into his pocket and then walked away. No goodbye. No love you.
But then you broke your silence and that made him stop.
“And who is going to put that drip in your veins? Maura?”
You watched as he turned around to look at you, his face pale as if he had seen a ghost. You were never supposed to find out.
*********
Two Years ago
“Hey” he said, strolling up to the desk like it was a bar and you were the one pouring drinks. “Are you the boss around here?”
You chuckled softly. Nobody looked at you ever and thought you were the boss
“Just the librarian.”
He leaned an elbow against the counter, eyes scanning your name tag
“Well, just the librarian, I need to borrow this..” he said as he handed you the heavy book. Neuroanatomy.
“Are you a doctor?” You asked as he gave you his card so you could log in the date of borrowing on the computer.
“Neurosurgeon.. Green really isn’t your color by the way.” he suddenly said, making you avert the gaze from the computer
“Sorry?”
He smiled like he’d given you a compliment.
“Blue would suit you better. Softer on your skin. Would bring out your eyes” He shrugged. “Just an observation.”
You laughed nervously. Was this hotshot doctor flirting with you?
“You ever get out from behind that desk? There’s a café a few blocks down. You should let me take you sometime”
You looked him in the eye as he said that, unsure whether he was joking or not. You didn't expect a man like him to ask you out.
Then you smiled—small, unsure, but enough for him to see.
“Ummm when?”
Jake smiled as you agreed. He was everything you had ever wanted, he was sweet, he complimented you, he was attentive, he took you to places you had never been to before. Safe to say you fell head over heels for him.
Too fast. Too quickly. Never noticing how he was sweet when he needed something, how his compliments were often backhanded. How he paid attention to you until he had you in bed.
***
A week after Jake had serenaded you off your feet Eric was walking down the street with a novel in his hands. The Catcher in the Rye. He had borrowed it last week.
He hadn’t meant to linger but the library had become a comfort place where he could just get lost in stories and nobody would judge him for it. And maybe it was also because of you..the soft-spoken girl behind the desk with the shy smile, the one who always remembered his name.
He wanted to smile back, he tried but he couldn't. He had never done this before.
So he chose another way to communicate, In his own way he tried but it didn't work.
You never saw them. Or if you did, you probably ignored them.
But he had decided today would be the day he'd change things. He was determined. His fingers clutched around the book and what it carried between its pages.
But as he neared the library, just outside the building, he saw you…pressed against the brick wall, Jake’s hands cupping your jaw as he leaned in and kissed you. It wasn’t quick. It wasn’t innocent. Your eyes closed, you couldn't really see him.
Eric’s steps halted, and something cold settled in his chest. He stood for a moment, an unreadable expression on his face, clutching at the edges of the book. He had never felt this way before.
Then, slowly, he turned around to leave. He didn’t return the book that day. Or the next. In fact he never returned to the library after that.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
What do you wear? This isn’t just dinner with friends, and the guy you like, this is dinner with a group of people you admire immensely. Do you go casual? Semi-casual? Dressy? You couldn’t decide whether overdressing or underdressing was worse.
When you got home you showered quickly, wanting to have enough time to pick an outfit. Your room was a messy of clothes as you tried on dresses and different pairs of jeans, dressy tops and baggy tops. Nothing fit. Just as you were about to tell Chris you got sick and couldn’t go, he texted.
You sigh with relief, tossing your phone on your bed and pulling out an outfit that you felt confident in but was also comfortable. Once you finished getting ready you threw your wallet and phone in your purse and headed out. You were thankful you didn’t have to deal with the bus since the address Chris had given you was only about ten minutes away from your apartment. You put in your headphones and jumped a little at the volume of the music that automatically started playing. Turning it down you realized it was a Stray Kids song, Venom to be specific. Was it weird to listen to Stray Kids on the way to meet… Stray Kids?
You shrugged, keeping the music playing as you walked to the restaurant. The streets weren’t crowded, which was a shock for this time in the evening, and as you got close you pulled out the headphones and put them in your purse. The last thing you wanted was for them to hear what you were listening to. You found the building Chris had described and made your way inside.
CHRIS POV
We had all decided to meet at my and Jeongin’s dorm before going to the restaurant, planning to only take two cars because parking often sucked. This turned out to be a mistake. I had been ready 20 minutes ago but everyone else seemed to be taking their sweet time. I groan, sitting up on the couch.
“Will you guys hurry up!?” I call into the apartment.
“God, you are an old man. Sitting up makes you groan?” Seungmin says, deadpan as he walks into the living room.
I squint at the dark haired boy, “I was groaning at all of you, thank you.”
“Mhm, sure.” Seungmin nods.
“Cool your jets, Hyung. We’re coming.” Felix says, jumping on one foot as he tries to simultaneously put on his shoes and move towards the front door.
“Has anyone seen my green jacket?” Jeongin yells from down the hallway.
“It’s out here, Innie!” I call back, seeing it hanging on a hook by the front door.
Minho walks out into the living room, typing on his phone as he sits down next to Seungmin.
“Why are you all freaking out?” He says, looking up from his phone. “It’s just dinner.”
“We want to make a good impression!” Hyunjin chimes in from the kitchen.
Changbin walks out of the hallway, “Especially for a girl who has Channie-Hyung all smitten.”
“I am not-”
“Don’t even try, Hyung.” Jisung says, suddenly appearing next to me. “You were smiling the whole time you were texting her.”
“How do you know I was texting her?” I rolled my eyes, though I knew he was right.
“Cause you were smiling.” Seaming joins in.
“Is everyone ready?” I ask, standing up from the couch.
“Don’t change the subject!” Jisung stands up with me, “I know we all agreed to this but you’ve hardly told us anything about her.”
“You can find out whatever you want when you meet her.” I argue.
“Hyung!” Jisung whines.
“Jisung!” I whine back.
He rolls his eyes, walking over and flopping onto Minho’s lap. Minho doesn’t even flinch, having gone back to typing on his phone.
“You’re just worried about being late because Y/N is meeting us.” Felix grins.
“I’ll ask again, is everyone ready!?” I call, ignoring Felix.
“Coming, coming!” Hyunjin says, walking out of the kitchen.
Thankfully Jeongin wasn’t far behind and we finally made it into the cars.
YOUR POV
Once you step inside, you’re about to ask the hostess if a large group of boys had arrived yet but a loud call comes from the back left of the restaurant.
“Y/N!”
It’s multiple voices, and looking over you can see Felix, Jisung and Hyunjin waving you over. You take a breath, trying to calm your nerves before walking over to the booth they had all crammed into.
“Come sit!” Felix smiles, moving over and patting the end seat next to him.
You slide into the booth, setting your purse on the floor.
“Hi, I’m Y/N.” You say, smiling somewhat awkwardly at the group.
Chris was sitting across from you, Changbin next to him, then Seungmin, Jeongin, Hyunjin, Minho, Jisung and then Felix on your right.
“So this is the girl Channie-Hyung won’t-” Changbin is cut off as Chris nonchalantly coughs.
“I take it I don’t need to introduce you?” Chris smiles.
You smile, “I’m pretty familiar with all of you.”
“So how long have you been a fan?” Jisung asks, getting straight into it.
Seungmin punches his arm, “Don’t ask that!”
“What? I’m just curious! I’m not going to judge her based on the answer!”
You laugh, shaking your head, “I don’t mind answering.”
“Fine.” Seungmin huffs, though he seemed to be trying to hide his own curiosity.
“I became a fan around August 2023, I think. It was a little bit after Five-Star was released.”
“What caught your eye?” Felix asked, then seemed to regret it.
“Do you need to ask that question, Felix?”
He blushed hard, putting his head in his hands, “Fuck-”
You giggle, “I saw a few clips of you online and I was like ‘who is this’ and I got sucked in pretty quick after that?”
“Who’s your bias?” Changbin asks.
You shake your head, “No comment.”
“Aw, come on!” Jisung whines.
“No, I’m not going to start a war in this restaurant.”
“That’s fair.” Jeongin grins.
The night flew by with good food and great company, you were surprised by how casual you felt around all of them. Jisung was just as funny as you would’ve expected, Seungmin too, regularly roasting his members and even you when the moment called for it. You felt like you were catching up with old friends.
Once everyone had finished eating, the boys refused to let you contribute to the bill, though you tried to insist. You even debated going to find the waitress to give her your card but it was like they could read your mind because Felix held you back when Chris went to pay. Once Chris came back, Jeongin suggested walking to an ice cream spot he knew nearby to which everyone enthusiastically agreed to.
“So, how was tonight? Are we what you expected?” Chris grins as the two of you walk a few steps behind the others.
“Yes and no.” You shrug.
“Oh?”
“I mean, you’re about as chaotic and loud as you are on camera, probably more so. But your personalities are just a little different, which I wasn’t surprised by.”
“Different in a good way I hope.”
You nod, “Of course, it’s fun to see you guys being yourselves.”
“Does that mean you’d want to hang out again?”
“Would you want me to?”
Jisung suddenly spun around to face the two of you, walking backwards as Minho watched him concerned, “Are you kidding!? You are required to hang out with us again.”
“Oh am I?” You laugh.
“For sure!” Felix and Hyunjin chime in sync.
“Well then how could I refuse.”
The boys in front cheer, running off ahead and beating you and Chris to the ice cream shop. You shake your head, chuckling quietly.
“They adore you already, ya know?”
You look up at Chris.
“The kids.” He finishes.
“I don’t know about that, I just met them.”
“Doesn't take long, they’re a good judge of character.”
“Well I’m flattered, then.” You smile.
“Look,” Chris stops in front of the shop window, “I’m sure this is a lot, for so many reasons. And I don’t want to rush you but… I really like you, Y/N.”
“I like you too.” You smile.
He glances inside where the boys were distracted with trying ice cream flavors and picking toppings.
“I… I would kiss you right now but I don’t think I’d hear the end of it.” He says, looking sheepish.
“Raincheck?” You take his hand and squeeze it.
He smiles down at you, a look of admiration in his eyes, “Deal. And I promise it won’t take so long this time.”
“I’ll wait as long as you need.” You say before you start pulling him to the door, “Now come on, I want ice cream.”
He chuckles letting you pull him inside. Hyunjin, Seungmin, and Minho had already gotten their ice cream while the other boys were still deciding. You walk over to Felix and follow his eye to the two flavors he was choosing between.
“Strawberry or chocolate.” You comment.
He looks over at you, “I can’t pick.”
“I mean, I like both. How about you get one and I get the other and then if you like one better you can have it.”
His face lights up, “You’d do that?”
“Of course! I’m not picky and I’m happy to help you out.”
“Thanks, Y/N.” He smiles, before ordering one scoop of each.
While they scoop the cups you wander over to the three already eating.
“What’d you get?” You ask, leaning over to peek at Hyunjin’s.
He swallows the bite in his mouth, “Lemon. Wanna try?”
You nod and he offers his spoon. Taking the spoon into your mouth you hum, it was the perfect mix of sweet and tart on your tongue.
“Mmm, that’s good.”
“Right!” Hyunjin exclaims.
You look over at the other two, Seungmin had gotten chocolate with marshmallows on top and Minho had picked pistachio with some kind of syrup. Before you could ask, Felix came up next to you, handing you the cup with strawberry ice cream, you took it and smiled.
“Chocolate?”
He nods, taking a bite of the bitter sweet ice cream. Once everyone had gotten their cup, you all found a table to sit at together, though two out of nine had already finished their ice cream.
You took an empty seat next to Hyujin and Chris took the one next to you, having just beat Jisung to it who gave him a slightly dirty look before moving over to sit by Minho. Conversations they’d been having in pairs quickly combined into one loud debate which you enjoyed just observing. You were jerked slightly and looking to your side you realized Chris had grabbed onto the leg of your chair and was pulling you closer to him until your thighs touched. No one had noticed despite the sound of the chair against the floor, or at least it wasn’t obvious.
“Can I help you?” You grin.
“I mean you can,” He smirks back, “Just not here.”
“Oh yeah? Where did you have in mind?”
“Can I take you out… later?” He asks suddenly.
“Does it have to be later?”
“I mean it’s…” He glances at his phone, “Ten so…”
“And? The night is young, baby.”
He seemed to sit up straighter at the pet name, blushing furiously.
“I… uh,” He was panicking a little.
You giggle, “Do you want to come back to my apartment?”
“Y-yeah, I mean-”
“I’m not expecting anything,” You say quickly, “Think of it like a… pre-date.”
“Is that not what this was?”
You shrug, “It’s not the same with everyone here.”
He glances towards the group, still engrossed in their debate, “True.”
“So?”
“Yeah, I’ll come back with you.”
“Come back where?” Jisung interjects.
You look over and their attention is suddenly on the pair of you.
“Uh-” Chris starts.
“He wanted to walk me back to my apartment.” You explain with an innocent smile.
“Oh did he now?” Felix grins, looking over at Chris.
“Nothing planned after that, just dropping you off?” Jisung adds.
The two of you were the picture of innocence as the group scanned you over.
“Alright… but you’d better treat her right, mister.” Jisung says, pointing a finger at Chris.
He smiled, humoring him, “Of course.”
“I mean it, you hurt her and we’ll kill you.” Hyunjin adds.
“Shouldn’t they be giving me this talk?” You mutter towards Chris.
“They’re attached now, get used to it.” He grins at you.
• • •
You unlocked your door and stepped aside, letting Chris walk in first.
“Cute.” He says, looking around.
You scanned the room, thankful it was cleaner than usual. Then your eyes landed on our bookshelf, more specifically the shelf where you displayed your K-pop albums. Your eyes widened in horror and you tried to think of a way to cover them or keep him out of the living room. I mean, he knew you were a fan but the idea of having an idol see your collection felt humiliating.
“Uh, do you want something to drink?” You ask, attempting to subtly lead him into the kitchen.
“Sure.” He smiles, oblivious.
“Water or…”
“Water is fine.”
You pour each of you a cup and take a seat next to him at the bar.
“You said you moved to Seoul… a year ago, right?” He asks, taking a sip.
You nod, “Yeah, this is the apartment my company provided me.”
“It’s nice.”
“I’ve been pretty happy with it, though I do have a few… odd neighbors.”
“Really? Like who?”
You went on to explain the odd interaction you’d had with an upstairs neighbor who tore you a new one for being too loud when it was the person next to you who had been blasting music and your neighbor from down the street who seemed to take out large trash bags at weird times in the day and night.
As you finish, you set both of your glasses to the side as Chris gets up and before you can think to say anything he starts looking around and walking towards the living room. His eyes fall on your bookshelf.
“What do we have here?” He grins, teasingly.
You groan, reluctantly following him into the living room. He crouches in front of the bookshelf, carefully admiring the collection of albums and merch displayed there.
As you sit on the couch, trying to pretend you don't exist you hear Chris gasp. You can’t help but look up as he turns back to you, hand clutches over his heart dramatically.
“You have ATEEZ and ENHYPEN albums here!”
“...yes?” You say, unsure of where this was going.
“And here I thought you were loyal to Stray Kids.” He huffs, turning back to the shelf.
You stare at the back of his head for a moment, trying to process what he was saying before you burst out laughing. He picks up a mini Bbokari plush, ignoring your outburst as he inspect the rest of the shelf.
“Chris-” You giggle, trying to calm down.
“What!?” He says, standing up and walking over towards the couch. “I am offended!”
“Feeling jealous?” You say, still laughing.
“Don’t mock me! This is a serious offence!” He sits down next to you, his expression admittedly very serious.
“I’m terribly sorry, Bang Chan. How ever will I make up for this egregious crime?” You look over at him, still giggling a little.
“I don’t know if you can.”
“There must be something I can do.” You give him a cheeky smile.
“Tell me I’m the only idol you would go out with like this.” He says, completely stoic.
“I swear on my life, Bang Chan. You are the only idol I have any interest in going out with.”
“Even Seonghwa or Heeseung?”
“Even them.”
“Even San?”
“Yes, him too.”
“Even Hyunjin?”
“Chris!”
“What? You’ve seen him!”
“I have, not my type.”
“What is your type?”
“Hmm,” you think for a second, “Kind, funny, intelligent, strong,” you move a little closer, turning to face him, “loves music, dark hair, brown eyes,” closer, “selfless, compassionate…” you glance down at his lips, your faces inches apart, “a good kisser…”
“Sounds familiar-” He murmurs before closing the gap between you.
It was like falling back into a familiar routine, despite only sharing one kiss previously, and this one was far more intense and meaningful. It was as though he was trying to apologize, for making you wait, for being unsure, for whatever else he had been overthinking before now. And you were able to put his uncertainties to rest, returning his passion as you slide your leg over his lap and tangle your hands in his hair.
He groans into the kiss, one hand resting on your hip, the other cupping your jaw. His tongue tentatively ran along her lower lip, slow, testing. You responded by parting your lips, allowing his tongue to slip inside. You could feel the combined thud of your hearts as your bodies pressed against each other, as though you were magnetic.
When you both finally pulled apart, more for breath than an actual desire to stop. You panted quietly, feeling his breath mixing with yours.
“I’m sorry for taking so long…” he muttered, eyes looking down at his lap.
You cup his cheeks, tilting his head up so his eyes are forced to meet yours, “That… was more than worth the wait.”
He smiles, huffing a laugh, “Good.”
“You know what you said, before, about the kids not letting you live it down if you kissed me earlier?”
He nods.
“I hope you realize that they will never let you live down the fact that you are going out with a fan.”
“Oh, are we going out now?”
“You asked me out earlier, you ass!” You smack his arm playfully, then are suddenly reminded that you are still sitting in his lap.
You start to move but he grips your hips, “Don’t… please.”
You stop, looking up at him.
Though his ears were flush red, he spoke firmly, “If you think that’s all you’re getting tonight, you are sorely mistaken.”
And so you were.

If you have the time to write this could you maybe write something where the Villain thinks they are under the influence of a love potion given to them by hero’s allies. That only seems to take effect every moment after they see hero. Feeling they are in love with them.
But when they confront the hero’s teammate they find out to their surprise that they gave only gave them a ‘speak your heart’ potion to get them to confess their crimes, they never thought or expected them to have feelings for their friend.
Coming to the shock and realization that they had indeed fallen for the hero on their own but had been ignoring it/suppressing it. Now they are at the point where they can’t deny it any longer. Thanks if you ever get around to writing it. Hope the rest of your day is wonderful and every other day forward!
The grip Villain had on the bathroom sink was rigid and firm; to say they were white-knuckled would be an honest understatement. It was a mistake to ever trust a hero, they should have learnt that by now. Supposed beacons of moral good who were willing to cut every corner in order to keep up with their supercilious reputation, that's all. Yet, here they were, teamed up with their worst enemies in order to stop a rogue hero who decided flattening the city sounded much more fun. And look where that got them: cowering away in a locked bathroom, fighting the urge to smash something.
They realised the drink had been spiked the moment they swallowed the first sip. It had activated instantly, as if the peculiar taste wasn't enough of a tell; the moment they looked up to see the hero, sat tidily across the table, they could feel their pulse begin to quicken uncontrollably. A fight or fight reaction to the drug, Villain had first thought, a hypothesis supported by their flushed demeanour and clammy palms. Even Hero noticed how sickly they looked. However, things took a concerning turn when they left to grab some water, and the symptoms suddenly stopped. Their heartbeat calmed the second Hero was out of range, though their mind still seemed to linger on that sculpted face.
A fucking love potion. It was unbelievable. Sure, it was obvious how little most of the team trusted the villain, but seriously? This was their way to make Villain behave? It wasn't the nature of the potion that irked them at this realisation (love potions seldom lasted long), but rather it was more about the ridiculous invasion of privacy, all because Villain couldn't be trusted to do the right thing for once. And so, they did what any reasonable person would do, and started yelling at the idiots who thought this was an immaculate masterplan. Rather honestly, actually. Surprisingly to even them, their words went a lot deeper into how they truly felt about betrayal than they'd planned.
But, then came the bombshell. As though Villain's day hadn't already been turned into enough of a minefield, Sidekick spoke up, sounding bewildered and almost amused. "We didn't give you a love potion, Villain. It was a truth serum of sorts, stops you from being able to hide stuff. Listen, we were worried you'd withhold information, you're a criminal after all. Plus, if it lasted longer than the mission took, we were, um, thinking we might be able to get a confession out of you. But, uh, looks like we might be getting a different type, I guess."
Villain didn't have a response for that. No amount of wit or sass could overcome the feeling amassing in their stomach, like an arrow went straight through them. They pitifully choked out a threat (one the team knew they couldn't be bluffing about) and promptly disappeared, headed straight to the nearest bathroom, hoping they could hide away behind a locked door until their hands ceased their trembling. Unfortunately, the universe was far from benevolent — especially to Villain, it so often seemed. It only took ten minutes until a visitor made their presence known, and consequently, Villain's heart began to hammer.
"Villain, are you in there? I just wanna check you're ok, you looked really sick earlier, did something happen?" Hero's voice sounded more than concerned, filled with the usual sympathy and compassion that Villain's heart began to melt at. Of course Hero had come to check on them. They were the only person in years who would meet Villain's eyes, with a gaze that lacked any trace of malice. The last true good samaritan left, they thought. Villain remained as silent as they could through their staggered breathing.
“Villain please, I can hear you in there, something’s wrong. If you don’t at least answer me, I’m gonna have to break the lock to make sure you don’t need emergency care.”
The only response Villain could manage was a scoff, though it wasn’t a hateful one. In the Hero’s eyes, Villain could be dying on the bathroom floor, drugged or having some sort of seizure, and yet they still sounded so guilty about the idea of invading their privacy. If only their moronic teammates were just a fraction of compentent and nice as Hero, maybe they wouldn’t be fighting the urge to double over and throw up. Deep down, a part of them wanted Hero to come in, console them attentively and reassure them. But, they knew that wouldn’t exactly help with their problem, so opted to keep their mouth firmly shut.
Villain heard their crush sigh worriedly on the other side of the oak door, before the noise of the lock snapping and the door slamming open resounded across the tight room. Before the criminal could even turn to face Hero, they had already sped towards the villain, who collapsed pathetically the instant Hero tried to wrap and arm around them. Unsurprisingly, the super caught them as their limbs came in, gently lowering them until the pair were on the ground, faces much closer than Villain was used to.
“What happened? Are you sick?” Hero questioned, free hand splayed against the villain’s feverish forehead, and the criminal quickly discovered a newfound problem with this godforsaken serum. It didn’t just stop the villain from lying: it meant they couldn’t hide anything either. They couldn’t omit anything if they tried. Their usual lies and dismissions echoed like a mantra in their head, as though they could convince themself that the truth was fabricated. I’m fine. I’m probably just sick. Must be stress. I’ll just sleep it off.
“Those birdbrained nitwits you call colleagues thought I’d be much more reliable drugged. Truth serum, they told me.” Villain blurted out, their voice wavering slightly as they tried to fight off the urge to confess anything and everything. Hero’s facial expression wasn’t replaced by confusion, but instead frustration. They hardly seemed shocked.
“Those idiots— I thought I convinced them to scrap that plan. I’m so sorry Villain, I don’t even know where they got the serum from. I’m worried this could all be a side effect, or worse, there could be something harmful in the ingredients. I’ll take you to Medic, we need to get this checked out—“
“No, no, we don’t need to do that. Please,” Villain interrupted, putting a temporary pause to Hero’s anxious rambling. They knew exactly why they were clamming up, why they felt as though they were on the verge of fainting into a pathetically yearning slump. Humiliation started to claw away at them, puncturing their lungs and gnawing at their windpipe. They couldn’t tell Hero they liked them, hell they’d only just realised they actually had a crush.
“I know you don’t like doctors, but if there was something else inside that vial that my team didn’t know about, we have to act fast, this could get ugly quickly. Plus, we don’t even have your medical records, there might be potential allergens, so please, Villain, let me take you to Medic,” Hero begged. Their voice was excruciatingly soft, and their tone was sickeningly genuine. Instinctively, Villain melted into their nemesis’ hold, looking up at their indescribable beauty wordlessly.
“This isn’t the serum, Hero. Well, it’s the serum but it’s not the serum. I’m not dying. I just— it’s just—“ It wasn’t that Villain was omitting the truth, trying to hide within a labyrinth of stammers and pauses. Their brain felt like it was shutting down, all language receptors powering off amidst a meltdown. They felt borderline delirious, barely able to string together a sentence without whimpering. They’d never been in love before, they’d no idea how horrific it could feel. Hero listened to their murmuring patiently, not wanting to ever rush them. A sweetheart, really.
It’s nothing, I’ll get over it. “I’ve never felt like this before.” Please just leave me alone. “Can you please just stay here?” I don’t want you here. “I don’t want to speak to medic, just you.” I don’t need you here. “I don’t know what to do with this, I need you.” I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. “It’s you.”
Hero was evidently speechless, seemingly trying to piece together the puzzle of just what was happening. As they spoke once again, they maneuvered both themself and the villain so that the two were more in more comfortable positions, although it meant that the already flustered Villain was practically in their hero’s lap. They could barely keep their eyes open, heartbeat desperately thrashing against its locked cage inside Villain’s ribs. They couldn’t do this, this felt extreme, even for a crush.
“Hey, hey. Villain, can you look at me? Trying to fight it will just make the pain worse, you got that? Tell me what’s wrong, and I can help you fix it, you know I can.” Hero’s hands gently cradled the jawline of the trembling villain.
“You’re too sweet, it’s killing me.” No, no. Absolutely not. We are not doing this on the bathroom floor. Get up, Villain, you idiot. “You’re so gentle with me, I can’t stand the thought of not seeing you. I never thought it mattered, the way you looked at me. But now, I don’t think I can ever stop noticing. I love you, Hero, I think I always have.”
The hero didn’t respond. Didn’t reject them, didn’t recoil away in disgust. Instead, they pulled the villain into a tight hug, burying their face into the criminal’s shoulder. Villain blinked for a few moments before everything seemed to click. Half an hour ago, they didn’t even realise they thought fondly of the superhero, but now, every realisation, every sweet sentiment, had bubbled up to the surface, and exploded from the sudden pressure.
“I like you too, Villain, more than I even thought I could care about a person. I’ll stay here, even when the serum has worn off, even when the mission is over, I promise,” they started, internally noting just how tightly their villain seemed to cling to them, like the hero would vanish if they loosened their grip for even a moment.
“But, as much as that explains a lot of what’s been happening with you, your symptoms are coming across as unusually severe. Crushes don’t usually do all of this. If there’s something unusual about the serum, we need to speak to Medic about it. I’ll be with you the whole time, I swear. They’re a lot nicer with me.” When Villain tilted their head upwards to look at the hero, their heart swelled with joy that almost nulled all the distress their body was going through. Almost.
Unfortunately, Hero was right to be worried. If they were the one who had been drugged, and their symptoms were showing to be severe, Villain would have likely imploded with sheer concern.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to Medic on these legs, would you mind ca—“ Villain stated shakily, yelping when their lover sweeped them off of the ground into a bridal carry, though it quickly shiften into a genuine laugh. Their cheeks became impossibly hotter, though their grip on Hero’s shirt loosened slightly as relaxation started to settle in. Truth be told (which seemed to be the pattern of the day), they didn’t mind if this truth serum made them sicker than a dog, because at least Hero would be there to hold them tightly from now on.

LIGHT SHOWER [sam golbach x reader]
a/n: this was requested by a special someone in my inbox (tysm for requesting and reading my work!!)
warnings: angst, cheating, mention of slight sex, cussing, fluff
it was another normal tuesday night with the two famous youtubers, sam and colby. you were invited to their house just to hang out with them and some of their other friends of course. though your boyfriend of the time, daniel, had called you for the past 20 minutes and had spammed your phone with too many messages to count.
you rolled your eyes at your phone, deciding to finally answer him. “yes, dan?” sam perked up at the mention of your boyfriend’s name. his eyes glared at nothing for a second, but quickly switched back to normal when a friend of his called him to set up a ping pong game. “please- hic- could you please come pick me up?” you clenched the bridge of your nose, annoyed that you had to leave early due to your douche of a boyfriend. “send me your address.” you heavily sighed.
you walked over to the coat racket, bringing your jacket and placing it on your body. “well. looks like i’m leaving early tonight guys,” you smiled sadly towards your friends. “no.., please don’t tell me it’s because of your douche-y boyfriend daniel?” devyn whined. “i’ll be the only girl here now.” you noticed sam snapped his head a bit rather quickly when you told them the information. “you’ll have tara arrive in a few, you’ll be fine dev.” you gave her a hug, waving to the others and walking to the door.
sam jogged slightly over to you, “are you sure you’re okay to drive? i’m sober and can easily take you home.” you waved him off, “i’m fine really. i only had a drink, barely. plus i’m out to go get daniel. that little piss of shit is already drunk and it isn’t even nine yet.”
sam huffed at that, “i seriously don’t know why you’re still with him.” your heart hammered at that. “we’re… high school sweethearts, sam. even if i ever wanted to leave him, we live in the same apartment.” sam chucked at that, “you can always stay at ours. i’m pretty sure colby wouldn’t mind, we both love you you know.”
you gave him a small smile. “and i really appreciate it, sam. i’ll text you when we arrive home safely. goodnight.” you gave him a side hug, and departed from the party. you walked to your car and put the destination into your phone and it was ten minutes away.
finally arriving there, it looked to be a sketchy apartment building. your face reeked of disgust by the way it looked, ‘must be a 2 star review. or maybe even lower..’ you shudder as you walked in.
your eyes locked to the lady at the front desk who gave you a weird look, “i’ve never seen you around this part of town. who are you here for?” she asked with a thick accent, you sighed. “my boyfriend.” you responded. she awe’d and went back to whatever the generation type of computer looking was on her desk.
you called daniel twice now, but he had declined. he finally sent you a message two minutes later with floor six and room number 665. you groaned, already knowing that it will smell of frat boys in the apartment and that you’ll have to drag daniel all the way down your car. thank goodness the front parking spot was not taken. as you reached the door, something felt odd.
there was no loud, banging music, and there wasn’t usual girls and guys making out in the corridor the party would be held at. you gulped, knocking on the door. you waited for a minute but no one seemed to be home— though you knew daniel was here since you saw his regular blazer out in the front laying dirty on the floor. ‘gross,’ you thought.
your heart hammered loudly enough for you to hear, and without even thinking you decided to slowly open the wooden brown old door in front of you and take a peek into the room. the hallway light was on and you then heard it. moans. daniel’s moans specifically, and a girls one at that too. it smelt disgusting as well with whatever was living in here. almost vomiting, you held it in together and walked towards the living room where the light was on and you could clearly see daniel getting fucked by two blonde complete naked women. and you snapped.
“what the FUCK,” you screamed. the three heads turn towards you, daniel’s mouth wide open as it was being used by a dildo toy from a women sticking it down his throat. “bb-baby,” he struggled to get out, his hand grabbing towards you. “do not EVER, call me baby. don’t even think for a second you can come back to me or the apartment either.”
you look at the two women who seemed to already be in their thirties, and you looked at them disgusted seeing how daniel was only 25. “we’re done. daniel, have a good life.” before you left, you looked around to see if he had the keys to the apartment and you spotted them scattered on the floor. you picked them up with your pinky, careful to try and not to touch it seeing as it was on the dirty nasty floor in the room with them.
as soon as you got into the lobby, the lady only looked at you and sighed. “i should’ve said it sooner baby, but this apartment is only used to for partners to cheat on their significant other’s and mostly— it’s usually threesomes that are in here.” she gave you a sympathetic look but you only looked at her in disgust, quickly leaving the place.
you got into your car, locking the doors seeing as it was now 10 a clock and you did not want any type of stranger trying to get into it. your eyes were blurry, and you didn’t even know if you could even drive back home let alone if you even wanted to go there.
then, you thought of sam. you bit your lip, contemplating if calling him up would be ruining the party for the others too. but you said ‘fuck it, i need him more than they need him.’ so you dialed in sam’s number, and after a second ring he answered. though you could barely hear him, seeing as the party got louder and music was blasting. “sam,” you hiccuped into the phone.
at the other end of the phone, sam’s eyes widen. he ignored the calls for his name, and rushed out to the window to where it was peaceful and quiet enough to hear you. “hey, hey are you okay? what happened? what did douche bag daniel do to you?” sam asked, bombarding you with questions.
you hiccuped even more, tears finally streaming down your face. “please pick me up, i don’t think i can drive right now at a time like this. i don’t feel safe here either.” you asked him, and even though he knew you didn’t see him, he nodded. “yes of course i’ll pick you up. i’ll get colby to drive his car and i’ll drive yours. where’s the address?” and you sent him the address as soon as he asked for it.
you sat there for a good ten minutes till you saw colby’s car pulling up. he parked next to you, and the two men got out. you were drenched in your own tears, shaking so little but they could still see you were a complete wreck. “i’m gonna fuck him up,” colby rolled his shoulder, walking up to the glass doors but sam immediately stopped him and signaled his head to you. “y-you don’t wanna go in there, trust me that place is nothing but filth.” you got out. your face not knowing what to chose, confusion, disgust, anger, sadness.
colby’s face held sympathy for you, giving you a big hug from the front. “alright. well tell me when you two go to your apartment—“ you cut him off there. “i was wondering if i could still attend the party? i don’t think i wanna go back..” you mumbled, your hand softly tugging on colby’s sleeve. he smiled, “of course you can come. and i’m gladly willingly to let you stay here too of course, in my room…” he wiggled his eyebrows, sam glared at him for that. “or sam’s! or sam’s… i guess.” he shrugged. he peaced the two of you out, getting into his car and driving back to their own apartment.
“i told you, colby wouldn’t have minded.” sam smiled at you. the two of you outside of the side door to your car. “thank you sam really, this means a lot to me.” you hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. but a cough made you jump from it being so quiet outside at night. “the fuck are you doing with sam?” daniel slurred, staggering left and right. “i told you were done, daniel.” you glared at him. sam felt the tension and placed you behind him, his arm wrapped around your waist carefully. “please leave her alone.” sam spoke
daniel looked at him with wide eyes, “don’t tell me what to fucking do with my girlfriend,” he spat, another stagger towards sam. “get in the car,” he whispered into your ear. your eyes widen at when he told you that, but you listened nonetheless. “the fuck are you doing with her?!” daniel shouted, shoving sam. your eyes looked to daniel in horror when he tried to open your door, but sam of course sam pushed him back. “she’s not yours anymore, you fucked up.” sam shouted back, “and you known what? i’m glad you did. she never deserved you. you’re a fucking asshole!” sam shoved him all the way back to the doors and the last push had daniel flat to the floor.
“you’re a dead man when i get to you, samuel.” daniel sneered out, “you’ve done fucked up.” sam started off, “and i am so glad you did. now,” sam looked back at you who was looking through the windows down at them.
“i have her all to my self. and i will treat her so much more better than you ever have and ever will, she’s a queen and you and i both know that. but you fucked up.” sam pushed harshly onto daniel’s chest, his eyes glaring deep into daniel’s green ones. “she isn’t yours anymore.” sam sneered, walking away from the drunk man and getting into the car.
he huffed out, blowing his hair. “well tonight has been crazy.” you didn’t pay attention to him, more to daniel the way how he looked at sam as if he was the devil. you grinned slightly to sam, “what the hell did you say to him?” you laughed lightly.
sam side eyed you with a gaping smile, pulling out of the parking lot and driving back to his apartment “you don’t wanna know sweetheart.” at the mention of that nick name, your heart beat raced up and your cheeks were a bit red but you thanked it was late because if it wasn’t, sam definitely would’ve seen.
by the time you to got to sam and colby’s place, colby texted sam that he threw the party out for you. your heart ached, “you didn’t have to do that colby.” you said as you entered the kitchen where he was, already cleaning up the mess. “they’d be as confused to why you returned with tears down your face. i didn’t want them to bombared you with everything while you’re still trying to comprehend it all.” he smiled at you. you gave him a smile back, hugging him tightly.
“i don’t have any clothes to change to,” you spoke. you were in jeans and a silky sphageti silver top, so you felt uncomfortable in the outfit you picked tonight. “i got some clothes, go ahead and go take a shower if you want too,” sam ruffled your hair and you flipped him off, but thanked him and walked towards the shower.
after your nightly shower routine, you got out and called sam over. “i need underwear,” you breathed out awkwardly, embarrassment all over your face. sam’s face had reddened at that, “uh- uhm, well we don’t have any here… uh i can- hand you over some of my boxers?” he squeaked out. you chuckled nervously, “thanks sam. and a pair of tshirt and some basketball shorts maybe?” he nodded and left you, but came back a minute later. “here you go.” you thanked him once more and got dressed.
you walked out, dressed all in sam’s clothes and colby had spotted you. “wow, now look at that. sam is finally getting the girl,” your eyebrow raised. his face looked in horror as sam looked from behind him with a ‘she doesn’t know yet!’ look. “oh er— you know, kidding! kidding,” he laughed off. “i can help you clean,” you suggested. colby shrugged, “nah sam and i both got it. where are you sleeping by the way?” he asked you.
you totally forgot about that. “sam if you don’t mind…” you trailed off, your eyes towards his room. “of course! you can always use my room if you want. i’ll sleep in the living room.” your heart hammered. “oh! uhm, okay,” you gave him a small smile, then walked into his room.
colby looked at his best friend with a straight face. “dude. she clearly wanted you in there,” he spoke. sam looked at him, “it’s just—, i want to give her some time. as long as she needs. just because as soon as she’s off the market, doesn’t mean she probably wants to date just now.” he mumbled. “yeah but, you could at least comfort her more.” colby smirked. sam rolled his eyes at him, and flipped him off. “i’m gonna go talk to her,” sam spoke. “hey! you need to clean too.” sam waved him off once more.
he knocked slightly on his own white door, opening a crack. he saw you on his bed, comfy with your phone out. “sam,” you smiled. he smiled back. “hi,” he spoke. he closed the door behind him, and sat on his bed next to you. “you know you can sleep here too, it is your bed after all.” you said. sam’s eyes widen, “are you sure? i don’t wanna push you a bit overboard.” you giggled at that, “sam i’m inviting you too. this is YOUR bed.” and so he climbed, he was already in his pajamas and got comfy into the bed.
“i’m sorry about your ex.” he mumbled, playing with his thumbs. “it was bound to happen. he was getting rather annoying this past couple of months, and being such a dick to my friends, and especially to you more often. which i never got,” you scoffed. but you could feel the moment sam froze. “do you want to know what i said to him, when we were fighting?” he asked you.
you looked at him and nodded. “i’ve been thinking about that since we’ve got here.” sam took a deep breath and breathed. “we started fighting about you. i told him how he fucked up, you deserved better. that you are a queen, and he lost the only good queen he’d ever find in this life..” he mumbled, “and that i was glad he lost you.” you looked at him confused, and he looked at you right back.
“i was so glad to hear you finally had broken up with him, because ive liked you for too long.” sam breathed. your breathing came to a halt, shock was written all over your face. “it’s okay if you don’t wanna be a thing or a thing at this moment,” he reassured you. “or if you don’t even like me—“ he was cut off from you, when he felt lips on his.
his eyes widen at that, but soon closed softly. “we can take it slow.” you spoke after you broke the kiss, “please let’s take it both slow. daniel was my ever fist everything, seeing as he was my high school sweetheart. so sam, if you do wish to date me, i want to do it the right way with you.” sam nodded, his head softly placed on yours. “it’s okay if we cuddle though, tonight?” he asked sheepishly, you smiled brightly and giggled just a little bit, “i suppose it’s okay.”
and after a bit more talking, the two of you got into a cute night position. you as the little spoon, and sam as the big spoon, protecting you from anything that would happen.
A/N: it has been MONTHSS since i’ve uploaded a fic, but here is one that was requested! thanks to the one and only anon! tysm :) (even if it took two months because i felt unmotivated and a bit busy at the time)

rafe usually wouldn't intervene when it came to sarahs friends. typically, they seemed like a bore, he could never learn to care about any of them. however, the first time he met you, it was different. after a few of your visits, rafe was determined to get to know you. sarah had told you he wouldn't bother you guys for too long, but once you went downstairs for snacks, he immediately invited himself into the conversation.
"what are you two up too?" he smiles, leaning against the counter. you look up at him, "we were just making food." sarah giggles, "and she was about to explain to me what her type was." you groan, recalling her earlier question. you sigh, "i don't know, it just depends." sarah pokes your side as she slides by you to use the microwave. "c'mon tell us!!" she eggs you on, desperate to hear your answer. "i guess i like guys that are casual, laid back. i like buzz cuts, i dont know." you sheepishly scratch the back of your neck. sarah grins, "finally!" you playfully roll your eyes. "yeah, yeah.. why do you wanna know so bad?" you question her. "im going to play match maker for you!" you face goes hot, "i guess i can't say no to that."
rafe watches intensely. "there sarah goes, playing cupid again." the two of you break into a fit of laughter due to his comment. "anything else you can think of?" you contemplate for a moment, "i like when they are protective, kind to me, and they support me." you shrug, "i want something serious too, im sick of flings" sarah nods, "good, this intel will help me find your perfect match." you glance at rafe, noticing how interested he was in you, and your responses. you become nervous under his eye contact. you quickly revert your attention back to sarah. she grabs two drinks, handing them to you, to carry. sarah grabs the two bowls of food, that were now finished. "well rafe, it was nice talking but our foods done." she leads the way back to her room, you softly speak up as you leave, "bye rafe!" his lips curve into a smile, and he nods.
the two of you enter sarahs bedroom, continuing the sleepover. meanwhile, rafe was back in his room. his mind was racing, all he could think about was your response. "casual..." he leaned back in his office chair, "laid back," he runs his hands through his hair. rafe knew he could win you over, he had charm, and he knew exactly what you wanted in someone. he stood up, walking to the bathroom, he looks into the mirror. he bit his lip, contemplating if it would be too soon to buzz his hair. however, he figured he needed to be confident to get what he wanted. he quickly decided, reaching for the electric razor. he turns it on, taking off a swipe of hair. the adrenaline he felt only fueled him more, and after ten minutes he had perfectly buzzed his scalp.
in the morning, you leave in a rush, your parents ushering you home so you can help out around the house. sarah gave a genuine goodbye, and you were quick to leave. rafe was disappointed when he woke up and found sarah alone downstairs. "why are you alone?" sarah shrugs, "you just missed her, she had to go back home." this piqued rafes interest, "is she okay, did something happen?" he urgently requests some answers. sarah lifts her eyebrow up in concern, "you shouldnt be that worried about her, you dont even know her." she stares at him a little longer before noticing his hair cut. "a buzz cut?" she shakes her head, "no rafe! no. you are not going to get with my friend." rafe chuckles, "cmon match maker, im right here." he places his hands on his hips. sarah groans putting her hands in her pockets. "she would never go for you." rafe smirks. "oh? she wouldnt?" he laughs, "im nonchalant, protective, looking for something serious, and oh! i got a buzz cut." in the air, he uses his hand to gesture checking boxes. "check, check, check." sarah sighs, "those were generic traits! i bet i could find someone who isnt related to me!" sarah storms upstairs, and rafes quick to follow after her.
"sarah please, i wont hurt her. shes different. all i want to do is protect her." sarah frowns, "why do you feel so attached already?" she questions him, he sighs. "i dont know how to explain it." he leans against the door frame. sarah crosses her arms, "well try." she taps her foot, annoyance seeping through. "if you can give me reasons why you genuinely care about my friend, then i will play match maker for you." he shifts uncomfortably, struggling to explain his emotions. "shes just really sweet, and i want to protect her. i care about her because the few times we talked she was nice, and i know she could make me better, because i want to be better for her." he look away, his breath heaving. "please, just give me a chance." sarah sighs, "okay, but you better not hurt her, you would ruin our friendship." he nods understandingly, "i promise, i would never." she nods. "alright. well i’ll see what she thinks of you, but there’s no promises.” with that rafe feels accomplished, he leaves sarah’s room gleaming.
sarah sits on her bed, pulling out her phone. she pulls up your contact, eager to fulfill her match making prophecy. she sends you a text, “hows chores coming along? will you be able to hang soon?” your phone dings and you smile as you open it, a text from sarah. you quickly type a response back, “almost done! where should we meet?” sarah lets out an excited squeal, her plan was effortlessly falling into place. “my place is good if you are down.” you quickly send back the thumbs up emoji, finishing everything your parents asked before getting ready to go back to sarah’s.
once you arrive at sarah’s place, she’s waiting outside for you. “i’m so glad you’re here! i may have found you the perfect match!” your mouth falls open, “this quickly!?” your shock was evident, and she couldn’t hold back her smirk. “first, i want to ask you something.” you nod, “what would you like to ask me?” she rubs the back of her neck, “do you think my brother is attractive?” your heart drops at her question. “why do you ask?” your face went red, embarrassment seeping through. “i think rafe might be the perfect match for you…” she says these words slowly, testing the waters. “i think he is attractive, and he seems protective.” you look up to see sarah grinning. “upon further evaluation, he actually hit every requirement on the list you provided” you look around, trying to see if rafe was around. “really? but does he like me back?”
“i do, i’m the one who convinced sarah to recommend me.” rafe joined in the conversation, revealing himself. you grin, “sarah! is that true?” you question her. she nods, “yeah, it is true.” you’re overwhelmed by his confession, “well, rafe, i was not expecting this.” sarah stands up, “i’m going to head inside. ill let the two of you talk and figure this out.” with that she exits, leaving the two of you alone together for the first time. “rafe, i really would want to give this a try.” you admit. he steps closer to you, reaching for your hands. “i really want to prove to you that i can treat you right. just give me a chance.” you bite your lip sheepishly. “i would love that. will you take me on a date?” rafe chuckles, “ill take you on so many, i’ll show you all my good spots.” you grin at this, “that sounds perfect.”

Jealousy
Shinobu Kocho x Fem reader! Jealous Shinobu
Story alone word count: 3820
Hey dere! 🤓🥸 Decided to make my own story on the request I’ve been sending people to write. Originally, I was going to let them write my request but I couldn’t wait 😖. Saying this incase someone thinks I copied another persons work. Btw in this let’s just say (Y/n) has brown hair.
••••••
Shinobu has been so very busy with patients and Hashira work. So much to where she doesn’t have a lot of time to spend with her girlfriend, (Y/n). The only time they’re together is when Shinobu is eating, showering, or going to sleep/cuddling with (Y/n).
(Y/n) has been holding herself back to not seem clingy to Shinobu, but she can’t handle being lonely anymore. Sure, the girls company with Aoi, and Kanao is nice but she wants to hang around with people around her age. So she decides to face what she’s are scared of.
The brunette walks slowly to her destination overthinking. What if she gets upset at me for being clingy? Should I just go back to my room?
The overthinker shakes her head at those thoughts. No! I’m tired of having no to hang out with and I need to talk to Shinobu about it.
(Y/n) takes a right turns and after reaching the end of the hallway, she’s at her lover’s work room. Her hand stretches out to the door but stops. The nervous brunette feels her heart racing rather quickly and feels her hands get sweaty. She wipes her hands on her clothes and knocks.
“Come in!” She hears her girlfriend say. (Y/n) enters the room nervously. Shinobu turns around gracefully and is waiting for (Y/n) to say something.
(Y/n) stands there which causes Shinobu to raise her eyebrow at her. “Is something wrong, dear?” Shinobu asks walking to her nervous girlfriend.
“I-I just feel lonely. There’s no one for me to be with. I’d like some attention.” (Y/n) says, mumbling the last part making her cringe.
The hashira couldn’t help but tease (Y/n), “Some what?” She says in an amused tone acting as if she couldn’t hear (Y/n). Her girlfriend glares at her knowing full well Shinobu heard her.
Shinobu laughs, “Well lucky for you, I have a ten minute break, so what’d you like to do?”
Without answering (Y/n) drags the shorter girl to the bed and just hugs Shinobu taking in her wisteria with lavender scent, and even a hint of ink was smelt. Shinobu hugs her back and kisses (Y/n)’s forehead.
(Y/n) hums happily, she feels relaxed being in her girlfriend’s arms. The silence is nice, just two lovers alone and appreciating each other’s company.
Sadly for (Y/n) the ten minutes are up and the hashira gets up and goes back to work. (Y/n) frowns, which doesn’t go unnoticed by her lover.
“Oh love, what’s wrong?” Shinobu asks. The laying girl hesitates whether or not she should complain to Shinobu.
Atlast, she does, “It’s just that you’re always so busy and I feel lonely.” (Y/n) reveals. Shinobu is a bit surprised because she didn’t think (Y/n) felt this way.
“What about the girls? You can hang out with them too.” The short girl suggests.
(Y/n) sighs and shakes her head, “As much as I love the girls. I’d like to be around with someone who is around my age. Someone who understands me.”
The hashira’s mouth forms into an ‘o’ shape. She nods and comes up with a solution, “Why don’t you just go make friends with someone from outside? Instead of just people from the butterfly estate? What about some hashiras?”
(Y/n) shivers at the thought of trying to make friends with anyone outside. (Y/n) is a quiet type of person and and. So the thought of going outside and meeting others not inside the estate, scared her.
She’s afraid she’ll embarrass herself. She’s a bit familiar with most of the hashiras and doesn’t know if she’ll get along with them.
White haired scar dude is too aggressive, snake boy doesn’t care about anyone but the pink haired one, pink haired is too talkative, flashy guy just cares about being flashy, and Gyomei is nice but she sees him as a father figure. There are two hashiras she hasn’t met and doesn’t know much about them.
“Okay. I’ll try making a friend” (Y/n) said as she stood up from the bed. Shinobu smiles and makes her way (Y/n). She wraps her arms around (Y/n)’s neck and kisses her passionately.
(Y/n) smiles into the kiss and puts her hands on Shinobu’s waist bringing her closer. After a bit they pull away and Shinobu guides (Y/n) to the door.
“Good luck on making a new friend, my love. And please don’t take too long” The Hashira says in a soft tone knowing how she her girl is. (Y/n) almost folds on how sweet Shinobu sounds, but she just nods at the short girl.
•••••
(Y/n) tried being friends with the mist hashira but he seemed to be lost in thought and just ignored (Y/n). The whole interaction was awful she introduced herself and he just asked her, “What was your name again? I forget unimportant things”.
Safe to say she was embarrassed.
Then on her way to the next hashira she found another kakashi. She asked him if he knew the directions and he responded rather rudely, “I do know where it’s at but why should I tell you? You don’t seem important enough to be meeting with a hashira”
The poor girl was shocked at how rude he was and just apologized. That really ruined her day, so much for trying to make friends with a hashira.
Right now (Y/n) was on her way back to the butterfly estate when she saw a guy sitting down alone next to a tree. He had a split type of haori the right side is just fully maroon, while the left side is squares patterned as the colors red, yellow, and green.
(Y/n) made her way to him and sat down on the opposite side of the tree, sighing. “This place sucks. I can’t seem to make any friends here. Is the place here always this bad?”
The silence was so loud you could just hear it. After a long pause, “Yeah.” the guy responded in a monotone voice.
Well he definitely isn’t much of a talker (Y/n) says in her head.
“Do you think I’m not liked by people?” The guy asked. The question caught (Y/n) off guard. “Well I don’t really know who you are since I just met you. You just seem like the silent type though.”
“Talking to people is tiring” The mysterious dude stated.
(Y/n) laughed, agreeing. “Yeah, you’re right. I’m not like other people who can talk so much. I can barely hold a conversation for so long. It’s hard to fit in when they’re so different compared to me.”
The phrase ‘I’m not like other people’ made the mismatch haori dude perk up. They were similar to what his thoughts were about himself.
“You… You also don’t think you fit in?” He asks turning to (Y/n). (Y/n) hums a short ‘mhm’. The brunette also turned around in realization.
Then, the two people laying under the tree asked the same question, “What’s your name?”
••••
Today had been a success for (Y/n), despite all the things that happened earlier.
(Y/n) was finally coming home after like 2-3 hours. She was glad she made a friend, tomioka-san! She even found out he was the last hashira she needed to meet!
They had been talking the entire time about each other’s life. The happy brunette was hoping she’d find him again tomorrow to hang out.
After two minutes of walking, she finally arrived home.
Aoi had been waiting outside of the butterfly estate waiting for (Y/n). The moment Aoi saw the brunette she marched right up to her.
“Where the hell have you been all day? I finally convinced Shinobu-sama to finish work early but she went back to work because you weren’t around. The poor girl has been working nonstop!” Aoi scolded the older and much taller girl.
“Sorry I-”
“No no no don’t apologize to me! Go to Shinobu-sama already!” Aoi interrupted now even more upset than before. (Y/n) widens her eyes and nods nervously.
The taller girl rushes inside to look for her hashira girlfriend. She found the insect hashira knocked out snoring softly on her working table. The brunette smiled at the sight of this and quickly scooped up her girlfriend.
“(Y/n)?” Shinobu mumbled, waking up a bit from all the movement. “Yes, my butterfly?” (Y/n) replied, smiling softly at how cute her girlfriend was.
“I missed you. I didn’t think you’d be gone for so long.” The sleepy girl said inching closer to the brunette.
The strong girl carried Shinobu all the way to their shared room and placed the sleeping beauty on her bed. (Y/n) changed clothes quickly and went to give her girlfriend a goodnight kiss.
“Love you, sleep well.” She whispered, making the latter smile and open her eyes a bit.
“Love you too” the hashira whispered back causing the very much awake girl to smile. As (Y/n) stood up , she felt a tug on her shirt. She turned around to see Shinobu frowning at her.
“Sleep with me please? You were gone all day. You were missed” Shinobu said groggily to her lover. The non-hashira nodded and laid down.
Shinobu immediately embraced the latter and smiled, finally being with her girl. (Y/n) turned to Shinobu, “I made a friend today” she spoke happily.
The shorter girl congratulated the latter and immediately fell asleep causing the brunette to laugh.
••••
About a month have passed since (Y/n) became friends with Tomioka and they’ve gotten so close she now calls him by his first name.
Now for Shinobu (my glorious queen ‼️) who thinks Mitsuri, the love hashira was her girlfriend’s friend. She couldn’t be more wrong.
The insect hashira finally been given a break for a week and she wants to spend it with her favorite person. She pretty much runs all the way to the love hashira’s mansion where her girlfriend is ‘at’.
She knocks on the door, and waits a bit for it to be answered. Mitsuri opens the door with the snake hashira on her side.
“HIIII SHINOBU!!” The pink haired girl exclaims excitedly, rushing to hug the latter. Shinobu pats her back and breaks the hug.
“Hi, Mitsuri! Thank you for becoming friends with (Y/n) and keeping her company while I’m busy. I hope you don’t mind but could I borrow my (Y/n)?” She says immediately already wanting to see the brunette.
The Love Hashira has confusion written all over her face, along with the Snake Hashira.
“Oh! I’m afraid (Y/n)-san isn’t here. She seems very sweet though, I’d like to be friends with her someday.” The love Hashira responded.
The shorter girl was confused was Mitsuri not (Y’n)’s friend? Now that she thinks about it (Y/n) never did tell her who her new friend was. She recalled falling asleep right after congratulating the brunette.
“Oh! Apologies then. By any chance do you know where (Y/n) is?” Shinobu apologized, a bit embarrassed.
“No, sorry! Come again next time though!! And, tell (Y/n) I’d like to be friends!” Mitsuri said happily as she waved goodbye.
Shinobu waved back, and left. Who could (Y/n)’s friend be?
After a while of thinking the small girl came to the conclusion it’d be Muichiro, so she made her way to the Mist Hashira’s estate.
She knew it definitely wasn’t Sanemi for obvious reasons that dude is a walking bomb. He’s ready to explode any second now right up in anyone’s face.
Can’t be Gyomei either, she knew (Y/n) saw him as a father figure. Rengoku is nice but very loud and can’t hear well. And, her girlfriend is definitely not friends with Tomioka because well… he’s Tomioka.
As the hashira turned a corner she saw her girlfriend laughing and walking with someone. That someone looked familiar, tall, mismatch haori, and messy spiky hair.
Upon seeing the person she already felt agitated, but seeing him with HER girlfriend? Ohhh she did NOT like that one bit. A vein could already be seen on her forehead, and one starting to pop out on her neck.
She quickly made her way to the duo and wrapped her arms around (Y/n)’s waist. The Hashira nuzzled into (Y/n)’s neck, not caring about the guy next to them.
The non-hashira immediately smiled, recognizing who the person hugging her was. “Shinobu!!! I didn’t know you weren’t working today” she exclaimed turning around and returning the hug.
Shinobu smiled at this and the forehead vein disappeared temporarily. Once the couple pulled away from the hug, the small hashira turned to the guy next to her girlfriend.
“Sooo why are you with my girlfriend, Tomioka-san?” Shinobu asked with the forehead vein forming again.
“Oh yeah! Giyuu-kun is my best friend! The one I was telling you about. I’m so excited for you two to get along! Well actually you guys already know each other so ” (Y/n) exclaimed.
Shinobo was ready to explode upon hearing what (Y/n) called him. Seriously!? Giyuu-kun? Just how close are they? (Y/n) didn’t even speak to me informally in such short time! She was so going to pick on him even more when (Y/n)’s not around.
“Kocho is your girlfriend?” He asked (Y/n) who nodded happily.
The shorter girl’s eye started to twitch upon hearing his voice. “Yes! She’s my girlfriend and we are happy together. Been going strong for two years and NOTHING will get in between us.” She said with her fake smile she’s practiced using so much.
Shinobu got closer to (Y/n) and hugged her waist possessively. She kissed (Y/n) while glaring at Giyuu. (Y/n) pulled away shocked a bit by the sudden kiss. She tried pulling away from the hug too but Shinobu’s grip was way too strong.
“Shinobu I don’t mind you hugging me but we’re infront of someone remember? I don’t want to make it awkward.” The brunette whispered a little embarrassed.
“Fine.” Shinobu let go of (Y/n) but not before giving her another kiss and grabbing her butt a bit making (Y/n) let out a small moan. (Y/n) was extremely embarrassed and red. She was going to give Shinobu a lesson on how to act infront of others.
“Oh… Err well that’s good for you guys.” He said with a deadpan look but also looking away from the awkward sight infront of him.
“Yeah it is. I wonder when you will find someone. It must be pretty lonely huh? Can’t relate, I don’t think you’ll find anyone your whole life.” Shinobu fired at Giyuu, smirking. Giyuu didn’t look like he cared and just gave her a blank face.
“Uhmm… so Shinobu are you going to join us shopping? Me and Giyuu-kun were on our way there.” The brunette asked finally recovering from her embarrassment.
“Yes! I got a whole week off and would like to spend it with you alone” The hashira responded and glared at Giyuu when saying ‘alone’ which didn’t go unnoticed by (Y/n) who just raised her eyebrow.
As they all started to walk, Shinobu made sure to stay in between the duo. The order was Giyuu, Shinobu, and (Y/n).
Atleast, that was the order for a bit “Actually. Kocho could I be next to (Y/n)?” Giyuu said.
Ohh he just HAD to open his mouth didn’t he? Shinobu stared at him dead in the eyes and gave a fake smile. Right when she was about to say no, (Y/n) moved to the middle. So now it was Giyuu, (Y/n), and Shinobu.
Shinobu couldn’t help it and let a frown slip. If it wasn’t for her girlfriend there, Giyuu would be getting punches with insults thrown left and right. The short hashira took (Y/n)’s hand and pulled the girl closer to her.
“So how did you guys become meet? I wouldn’t expect my beautiful, kind, and amazing girlfriend to be friends with someone like you Tomioka-san. I wonder if she felt pity for you and became your friend because no one likes you.” Shinobu said looking straight at Giyuu with the biggest fake smile ever.
(Y/n)’s eyes widened in shock on how her girlfriend was treating her bestfriend. “Shinobu! That is not how you treat others. Please stop acting immature.”
“It’s fine (Y/n). I’m used to it already.” Giyuu said trying to defend Shinobu a bit.
“Used to it? Is this not the first time?” (Y/n) asked in surprise, getting more upset now. Shinobu hissed at Giyuu for just making things worse and exposing her.
“N-no! I always treat him nicely. This is just how we joke around!” Shinobu tried lying but (Y/n) saw right through.
“Giyuu-kun I’m sorry we can go shopping a different day. I’ll let you know when.” (Y/n) apologized. She didn’t have to tell Giyuu twice.
He waved goodbye and skedaddled not wanting to get in the lover’s quarrel.
(Y/n) dragged Shinobu all the way home and to their room not saying a word the whole entire way.
Now Shinobu was regretting how she treated Giyuu a bit. Actually, no she didn’t. How dare he try to get close to her girlfriend.
She was thinking of an apology in her head to tell (Y/n) when they arrive home.
•••
The moment they reach their room the brunette locked the door and let go of her hashira girlfriend.
“What was that!? Why were you being so rude to Giyuu-kun. And don’t even think I forgot on how touchy you were infront of me.” (Y/n) questioned angrily, crossing her arms and tapping one foot.
“Ughh… will you please stop calling him that.” Shinobu complained, rolling her eyes not liking how close they are.
“Giyuu-kun? There’s nothing wrong with it. Me and him got very close this past month. So what’s up with you, why are you just insulting him?”
“It’s because Tomioka isn’t really the ideal friend. He’s.. he’s just so bland and basic. He literally doesn’t talk a lot and he’s painfully unfunny. Seeing him just annoys me and seeing him WITH you made me more upset.”
“What? Oh for fucks sake Shinobu! You’re just annoyed that he doesn’t talk much? Have you actually tried to get to know him? He’s actually pretty funny.” (Y/n) defended Giyuu. Shinobu was going to respond but was cut off.
“Shinobu, I really don’t get you… You tell me to make friends but the moment I do, you get all angry and just throw insults at them? You know I was really excited for you to get along with Giyuu-kun but clearly that was too much to ask for.” (Y/n) said with tears threatening to come out.
Realization hits Shinobu by seeing just how much her girlfriend is hurt by her actions.
“(Y/n) I’m sor-”
“No go apologize to Giyuu first and please be mature.” (Y/n) said leaving their room and slamming the door. Shinobu winces at how loud it was.
Gosh I really did mess up. Am I serious? I got jealous of Giyuu being close to (Y/n) but I’m literally dating her! Now I have to go and find where that water hashira is at if I went to be good with (Y/n) again. I really need to make it up to her.
••
(Y/n) was helping Aoi with patients. She already helped 12 of them and now she just needs these last three. She immediately sighed walking into the room containing the trio Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu.
Zenitsu was complaining about the rehabilitation training and Inosuke was making a mess of the place stuffing his face with food. Tanjiro was sitting peacefully on his bed listening to Zenitsu while telling Inosuke to slow down.
Tanniro noticed (Y/n) and greeted her. She greeted him back but went straight to Inosuke, telling him to slow down with his food which he actually did do. Tanjiro was surprised at how calm Inosuke is with either (Y/n) or Shinobu around.
Tanjiro could tell (Y/n) was upset though. He smelled a hint of anger and sadness. “(Y/n) are you mad? I’m smelling a hint of anger.”
“You idiot! You never ask a girl if she’s mad when she clearly is!” Zenitsu shouted. He could hear how loud (Y/n)’s heartbeat was, it was loud and thumping hard.
(Y/n) chuckled at the duo, “Yes, I’m a bit upset. Something happened but it’s okay. No need to worry”
Tanjiro nods in understanding.
When the brunette is done checking up on the trio, Zenitsu and Inosuke are sleeping soundly except Tanjiro.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be nosy but are you perhaps upset with Shinobu.? I smelt Wisteria earlier so I’m guessing you were with her.” Tanjiro asked.
The non demon slayer sighs and nods. After she explains the situation, Tanjiro’s a little surprised. He didn’t think Shinobu was so protective of (Y/n). He started to smell Wisteria again so he perked up.
The door flew open scaring (Y/n) but then she saw who was at the door. No one other than her girlfriend. She huffed and turned the other way dramatically. She wasn’t that mad anymore after talking to Tanjiro but she liked to be dramatic.
Shinobu entered and dragged (Y/n) away.
“Goodluck (Y/n)-san!” Tanjiro whisper shouted.
When the couple reaches their room again, Shinobu locked the door and hugged (Y/n) tightly around her waist. She looked up and stuck her head in the non demon slayer’s neck.
“I apologized already. I’m sorry, I realized how I acted was immature. I was just jealous seeing him make you laugh. I was selfish for only thinking of myself and not thinking how you’d feel. You were excited for both of us to become friends. Please.. forgive me I don’t like fighting with you” Shinobu choked out trying not to cry.
The brunette couldn’t help but laugh a bit knowing the hashira was fighting back tears. so she raised Shinobu’s head and kissed her lips softly. Shinobu smiled knowing this was a confirmation her girlfriend forgived her. After a short while they both pull away out of breath.
“It’s fine now let’s go shower you stink of ink and a bit of sweat. Were you running?” (Y/n) asked scrunching her nose as a joke.
Shinobu pulled away from the hug and lightly punched her. “You’re the one who reeks of medicine and blood.” The shorter girl fired back.
The couple both laughed and went to go shower.

She's My Collar - Chapter 1
Sub!Colin Gray x Goth!Reader
A girl who isn't afraid to take the reins is just what a guy like him needs ~
What a bitch.
Well, that seemed to get the general consensus towards you from most of the people at Devil's Kettle. It's not like you intended to be any form of rude or abrasive, but you were a woman who knew what you wanted, and you weren't afraid to take charge when the situation called for it. In group projects, you were always quick to assume a leadership role, but the results were always perfect. The way you saw it, if getting things done meant being seen as a bitch, then so be it. You weren't a straight-A student, no, but you did have a healthy blend of A's and B's with the occasional C here and there. You were only human, after all.
That's besides the point. The important part is that you were no stranger to being a little bossy to get what you felt you deserved. Some saw you as a competitive firecracker, others as a stuck-up cunt. None of it mattered to you, though. You weren't trying to run the world or anything, you just liked to have control over things when you could. Perhaps it wasn't the healthiest lifestyle for a high-school girl, but it had gotten you this far, so you didn't plan on stopping anytime soon.
The one thing you couldn't manage to keep in check was how your chest felt tight whenever he was nearby. He was such a tease, walking around with that messy hair and all that silver hanging off him. You wanted to see how he'd look with silver chains holding him down while you sat on his face, hearing his pathetic little whines as he squirms underneath you. Shit, right, back to math.
In the midst of a quiz, your mind had wandered to that HotTopic hunk of meat you so carnally craved. Colin was sitting a few chairs away from you, and you could see him scribbling away at the page, completing the quiz you had already finished ten minutes ago. You were double-checking your answers when you got distracted by him. Shaking all those depraved thoughts out of your head, you decided your quiz was as good as it was going to be, walking up to the front and handing it to the teacher.
Back at your desk, you found yourself eyeing Colin again. He fidgeted with his pencil, rocking it back and forth between his fingers, and- fuck, what you wouldn't give to feel his fingers do that to you- uh… okay, stay focused. Maybe you could do some work for another class to keep yourself busy. Considering it was either that or risk leaving a snail trail when you stood up, the former seemed much more appealing.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw him get up to hand his paper to the teacher. Watching intently over the screen of your laptop, you caught his eye as he glanced at you on his way back to his desk. Your face got hot as your attention returned to the screen, the essay you'd been working on staring back at you.
He probably didn't even notice, you thought, trying to reason with yourself, except he most definitely did. Colin was at his desk thinking about why you would have been looking at him the way you were. It was as if he were under close inspection. The gleam in your eye gave him chills along his back and arms. Did you want something from him? Had he done something to offend you?
Unbeknownst to you, Colin was spiraling while you typed away about the book you'd been reading for English. See, with the whole reputation for being a bitch, coupled with the fact that you were aggressively goth, made you wickedly cool to someone like Colin. He had insane respect for you and admired your self-expression, being into alternative media himself, so he tried to avoid raising any trouble between the two of you. It was like an unspoken understanding among you that you were both ravens stuck in a school full of parrots that just mimicked each other nonstop.
Colin thought you were hot, to put it plainly.
The rest of class was pretty much the same from that point onward. People got up and turned in their quizzes, some seeming more confident than others, and did whatever until the bell rang for the end of the day.
You hated Tuesdays. There was nothing particularly wrong about them, but they were so far from the weekend that it still felt like an eternity until Friday night, but just removed from Sunday that all excitement had worn off. It was like the drug-crash of the week, and you were just waiting to get it over with. Graduation would come soon enough, only a handful of months away now. You couldn't wait.
As you made your way down the hall, leaving the building with everyone else, Colin scurried up next to you, his arm crossed over his stomach with his hand hovering over his chin in that pensive way he often had it.
“Uh, hey,” He greeted, his voice a bit on the softer side. You picked up a faint nervousness, though that was a common occurrence for people speaking to you.
“Hey,” You gave a brief once-over of his face out of the corner of your eye.
“So, you're not uh… upset with me, are you?” Colin asked, he held his breath a smidge after getting the question out, hoping he'd hear an answer that didn't mean any imminent danger to him. You chuckled, a bit thrown off by the idea given the fact that you hadn't made any implication that you were, as far as you knew.
“It'd be the first I'm hearing of it,” You quipped, raising an eyebrow at him as he turned to walk backwards, facing you as he let out a sigh of relief.
“Ok, cool, awesome,” He had a relieved smile on his face, but now you were curious.
“Did you think I was?” You pressed, just wanting to hear whatever theory he had for jumping to that conclusion. He blushed a little, his eyes darting to the floor as he scratched his neck.
“Uh… n-no, not really,” He lied.
“Colin?” You persisted, drawing out his name.
“During last period,” Colin caved, not being able to resist a woman with a full black and white beat on her face, “You were staring at me when I turned my quiz in. I thought I had done something to make you mad.” He played with his necklaces, feeling a little foolish now that he said it out loud.
That answer just made you laugh again, “What? No! I was staring because you're cute, not because I've got a bone to pick.” Now it was Colin's turn to be caught off guard.
“I guess- wait- what?” He was bright pink, stopping in his tracks at the news that had just befallen his ears. You kept walking, making it out the door and almost to the parking lot. Colin quickly followed, joining your side as he had before.
“You think I'm cute?” Colin asked, making sure he heard you correctly, a bit flabbergasted that you could think such a thing of him, but otherwise unable to wipe the dumb smile off of his face.
“Yeah, you got this ‘lost puppy’ quality to you. It works in your favor.” You certified he did, in fact, hear you correctly the first time. That only made him smile more, anxiously twiddling his fingers together.
“Thanks,” He stuttered.
Finally, you had reached your car. Standing outside the driver's door, you gave a final comment before entering your beat-up Camry your mom gave you.
“Of course. I know a good boy when I see one.” A wink to seal it, he was enamored. As mentioned, he already thought you were very attractive, but now he was fighting a boner in the middle of the school parking lot. All you could do was giggle at yourself, knowing he'd probably be thinking about that all night.
Driving away, you saw him heading to his car in your rear view mirror, his gait just slightly thrown off. If you'd known he'd be so easy to fluster, you'd have said something a long time ago.
•♤♡◇♧•
A week goes by and you and Colin have been talking way more than usual. He started to approach you after school, during lunch, even the passing periods between classes. There was no doubt the boy was smitten. He even invited you to a movie that was showing the coming Friday, which you happily accepted. It was one of those campy slasher flicks where the girl with big boobs gets cut in half, a classic. Not being the dullest blade in the knife block, you asked if it was meant to be a date. Colin gave you the softest “yeah” you think you've ever heard, a nervous smile spreading on his face.
“Pick me up at 7:00,” With a kiss on his cheek, the date was set.
There you were, all done up in your best “going out attire,” making sure your hair had the right look you were going for as you did your final touches. Feeling satisfied with your work, you checked your phone to see it was only five minutes to 7:00. Strapping on your boots, you sat in the living room waiting to hear him knocking at the door. Your parents double-checked with you to make sure you wouldn't be out too late, you promised them no later than midnight, and that you had money for your ticket and snacks. After insisting everything was good and ready, they finally let off, telling you to have fun and use protection. How funny they were.
Knock knock knock
He was here! Taking a quick breath, you approached the door, pulling it open to reveal yourself to him. You were the vision of classic goth fashion, down to the deep-red lipstick. Colin had on some nice duds, himself, but not stripped of his personality. Nice.
“Wow…” Was all he could manage to say, staring at you with his mouth agape. You giggled, knowing full-well you spent three hours getting ready.
“I know,” You purred, walking past him and sliding a hand across his chest in a beckoning manner as you glided to his car. Colin, the gentleman he was, opened the door for you. Cute.
The drive was actually really nice. He let you have aux so you got to share with him your go-to playlist and he knew most of the songs from prior listening. Despite your surprise, he insisted it wasn't that unreasonable. He claimed he liked to “dabble” in various genres.
You playfully bickered back and forth about your individual tastes, laughing and gasping at each new development in the conversation. Eventually, you arrived at the movie theater. What Colin failed to mention, or perhaps hid for special effect, was that he was taking you to a drive-in. That explains why you didn't take the normal route to the local cinema. He paid for both of your tickets, ignoring your protests, but you refused to let him pay for the snacks as well.
One giant bucket of popcorn later, you were sitting in his car, watching the 80's gore projected onto the huge tarp, sharing various critiques of the cinematography and practical effects. Your heart was beating out of your chest the whole time. This was perhaps the most shocking part of the evening.
You went into this knowing you thought he was a delicious piece of man, but you figured it ended there. A lustful fantasy you craved but nothing more. Except now, as he laced his fingers with yours, it dawned on you that you felt a lot more strongly than you bargained for.
“I'm really happy I got to spend tonight with you,” Colin whispered, leaning in as he rubbed his thumb over your knuckles. You felt your face heat up, but the grin you beamed was far from anxious.
“Me too,” You leaned in to press a gentle kiss to his lips. Colin's grip on your hand tightened just for a moment, his eyes fluttering shut as he reciprocated the kiss. When you pulled away, there were stars in the way he looked at you, holding your gaze as if he was lost in the woods, yet didn't want to get out. An idea popped into your head.
“What do you say we… get out of here?” You snaked a nail up his bare forearm, his sleeves having been rolled up, and felt the goosebumps form underneath your touch. He shivered, a weak smile melting onto his lip.
“I-... I'd like that, yeah,” Colin figured he had absolutely no problem letting this evening go wherever it was going. On one hand, he could get laid, but on the other, sweet one-on-one time with one of the sexiest, smartest, funniest women he knew. Decisions, decisions.
“Come on, I know a spot,” You told him, buckling your seatbelt, plotting a little something something that you were sure was going to blow his mind. With careful directions, you took him to a nearby park that you had to sneak into because it closed at 8:00.
Colin had to blindly trust that you weren't about to murder him in the woods, though he did come to the conclusion that that would be a hell of a way to die. If he asked for any clues about where you were taking him, you just shushed him and told him he'd see. When you got where you wanted to go, he was speechless.
Before you was a view of the lake with the stars’ reflections glittering along the surface as the foliage and flora surrounded the water, coming almost right up to the shore. Foxtails could be seen swaying, the serenade of the crickets and frogs filling the nighttime air. The moon lit up the scene with her radiant white glow, allowing you both to see the sight in front of you. You found out about this place from a friend who used to bring you here when the moon was full or close to it. She said it was like a brief detachment from the rest of the world, nothing but the water, the breeze, and the critters littered about to fill your mind.
Smoothly, you slipped an arm around Colin's waist, pulling him closer to you as you two took it all in. His hand rested on your shoulder, his arm around you as well. Colin was so warm, it was enthralling.
“Beautiful, isn't it?” You offered, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Absolutely,” Colin agreed, rubbing your upper arm. There was an added level to the calm of the location that came with the plus one you had brought along. That friend who would bring you here stopped a while ago when you drifted apart the summer after sophomore year. Now, it seemed like new life was breathed into the place.
Wrapping your other arm around him, you held Colin against yourself, exploring the hues of his brown eyes in the moonlight. He couldn't look away. Your hand reached up, gently cupping his cheek, he leaned into the touch, a small breath escaping his lips, and kissed him again. Only this time, the kiss felt even better than in the car. He felt so right. Being here with him felt so right. His arms draped over your shoulders felt so right.
This kiss lasted longer, though, and you felt him deepen it, growing more passionate with each second that ticked by. Your hands guided his to your hips. There was a mutual hunger that had made itself known. Colin moaned softly into the kiss, your tongue requesting entry past his lips, which obliged quite easily. Your tongue rubbed against his with a vigor; a routine that had been improvised yet practiced for years.
You felt his chest through the fabric of his shirt, though that seemed to startle him as he jumped at your touch, his hands grabbing yours to hold them still as he maintained eye contact.
“H-Hey there!” He chirped, clearly a little nervous.
“Everything ok?” You asked, genuine concern in your voice. Lust could wait, but unease came first, no matter what.
“You're really pretty, and I might be shooting myself in the foot by saying this, but I don't want to… rush. It's nothing about you, I just didn't realize I'd feel so,” A pause, “Unready.” Colin admitted, visibly disappointed in himself. You felt no such shame, in fact, you were glad he told you. Interlocking your fingers with his, you reassured him.
“We don't have to, that's the best part. If you'd like, we could just… sit.” A tempting offer. Colin relaxed, letting out a breath he didn't mean to hold, and smiled with such pure adoration.
“I think I'd like that, at least, y'know, for now.”
With that decided, you went ahead and had yourselves a seat on the stone. The spot was possibly some form of cave, or maybe was at one point, but now it's more of a solid rock floor that had been worn smooth by centuries of rain. Your personal theory was that it used to be a waterfall from a river that used to connect this lake to the smaller one a mile or so away.
Sitting side by side, you watched the wildlife hum with its serenade of peace.
“I could so take a nap here.” Colin noted, a chuckle following his words. The spontaneous comment brought out your own giggle.
“Where did that come from?” You were fascinated to learn what his train of thought was.
“Well, it's just so nice and… I could see myself falling asleep to this,” He nudged your arm softly, “Especially with you around.” Fuck, that tugged at your heartstrings more than you were ready for.
“I see,” You paused to think, a slight idea coming to mind, “Well, would you like to have a lie down?” You patted your thigh, implying you were cool with him using it as a headrest.
“S-Sure,” You watched his face flush pink as he scrambled to get on his back, his head resting down on your comfortable thigh as you sat criss-cross.
A beat.
“This is nice,” Colin murmured, yawning just enough that you noticed as his gaze remained more or less locked on you, now. Absent-mindedly, your hand began to pet him, stroking the side of his face and chin. He closed his eyes and let the calm wash over him.
Colin was really taking a liking to you.

Kang Dae- ho x f!reader
A/n: heyyy back with another squid game fic. This literally took me hours to do so I hope you guys enjoy ngl I did not prof read so lmk if there’s any mistakes also I switched the story kinda it still follows the same plot I guess but the reader takes place of player 222 but not pregnant so yeah lmk if there’s any mistakes. Also requests are open for everyoneeeeee❤️
Word count: 3.5k
It was after the first game. For some reason God only knows you survived. In the beginning when the man was yelling about the games something about you believed him. There’s no way someone just picks you up with a promise to play games for big money without a catch. I guess the catch here was death. You hadn’t had a lot of debt, you just made some irresponsible money decisions.
When the guards came in saying that there would be a vote to go home you were glad. You weren’t thinking everyone was going to be greedy but they did. 181 X’s 182 O’s. You were crushed. You didn’t know if you would live to see the next vote. When the lights went off at night you cried silently not knowing if you would ever see the light of day again.
The next morning you were woken up by the song you had been woken up to the day before. You woke up still thinking this was a long nightmare but it wasn’t. The guards told you to line up for breakfast before the next game. You have talked to a few people since being here. You met an older woman and her son who you thought were the nicest people.
“Do you have family outside of here?” The older woman asked you while you guys were eating. You looked at her a little taken aback by the question. You didn’t like talking much about your family. Not because they were bad people or anything just you didn’t want people to be that close to you to know your family.
“I do but we’re not that close” you said giving her a tight lipped smile hoping she would drop the subject. After a while of eating and talking the guards announced it was time for the next game. You had heard around the room that the next game would be Dalgona. The easiest shape to pick would be a triangle so you already knew what to do. But as soon as you got to the game room you quickly realised this was not Dalgona. The room had two rainbow circled tracks on the ground and multiple flags from different countries hanging from the ceiling. Once all the players got into the room the voice started to explain the game and told us to get in groups of five players. Since you had been with the older woman and her son you decided that you only had to find two more people.
The older woman’s son went around the room looking for two more people but as soon as he said that you and the older woman would be their teammates they rejected the offer. The ten minute timer was getting closer to zero and you had met with a younger girl and another woman. Your team seemed strong. You had all different types of people on your team until…
“Why did you have me come to you?” a woman with crazy eyes said. You had recognized her from earlier when you were voting saying something about you can’t choose where you were born or where you died. You didn’t know it all sounded like bullshit to you.
“I’m sorry miss but we already have five people” the older woman’s son said trying to be polite. She scoffed looking at your team up and down and stopping at you.
“You should drop her, she looks weak” she said looking you dead in the eye. Her stare didn’t scare you but at the same time you didn’t want to make enemies in this place. You broke eye contact first.
“It’s okay you can take my spot. I can find another team” you said dryly with a tight lipped smile. Your team looked at you in fear. They did not want to be teamed up with someone like her. You looked up at the clock. 2:49. You had two minutes and forty-nine seconds to find another team. As you were about the walk away the older woman grabbed your arm.
“Are you sure we can tell her to get lost? I would rather be on a team with you anyway” she said seriously. You waved her off though
“It’s fine i’ll find another team” you responded with an actual genuine smile. She let you go and hoped that you would find another team in time. As you walked you took a look up at the clock again. 2:26. You let out a sigh hoping that you would find someone in time. While you were still looking at the clock not looking where you were going you bumped into a man. He had longer hair in a half up half down style. He was cute you thought. If you were on the outside world he would be the kind of guy you would approach but now in this circumstance it was all about survival.
“I’m so sorry miss i didn’t see where I was going” he said while trying to steady you with his arms. You didn’t mind though his touch felt comforting.
“It’s okay I wasn’t watching where I was going either” you said as his arms left you. You missed it.
“Umm do you happen to need one more person for your team. I had to leave the team I was with in the beginning.” you told him as your eyes were faced to the ground. He looked at you for a second, you didn’t look weak at all and seemed you could really be an asset to the team. You didn’t think that he’ll take you though. You were a woman and you guys didn’t even know what game it was yet.
He interrupted your thoughts “ Will you do anything it takes to win?” he said as your head lifted from the ground.
“Yes I will” you said proudly hoping that he would let you in his team.
“Okay follow me” he said as you trailed him back to his group. You looked at the time again. 1:03. It was too late for them to dump you for another teammate right? When you got back to his group you saw three other men. One of the men you remember from the beginning saying that he has played these games before.
“Guys I found our last player” he says as he moves aside to let them meet you.
“She said she’ll do whatever it takes to win” he says as he nudges you forward to say something to the three men.
“Yeah” you agreed “I’ll do whatever it takes to survive” you say as the timer goes off, initiating that the time to pick teams is over.
The speaker overhead explained the game. It would be a six legged race where your ankles would be chained up and you would go through five mini games. Ddakji, flying stone, Gongi, spinning top, and jjegi.
“I guess it’s good we have a female on our team” one of your teammates said. “You know how to play gongi right?”
You shook your head slowly “I’ve never played it before” you responded softly a little scared they would scold you for not knowing. When suddenly the man that chose you to be on the team raised his hand
“I can play gongi” he said with his hoodie slightly covering his mouth
Your teammates laughed “A former marine knows how to play gongi?”
“I have four older sisters, I played with them alot” he responded. When the timer went off for who to play what games it was settled. You would play ddakji, One of the men would play flying stone, the man that chose you would play gongi, another one of the men would play spinning top, and the winner of the previous games would play jjegi.
And the games started. The first few groups were wiped out, not making it past gongi. But it was time for your former team that you were with in the beginning to go. You were scared. You didn’t want to see them die. When the gun went off to signify the start of the games you got anxious. You were sitting next to the man who chose you to be on the team. He was practicing gongi because he knew that it could take up the most time. When the younger girl on your team before lost the first round of ddakji you reached out for his hand to hold. Your touch was shocking. At first he didn’t know what to do.
“ I’m sorry for doing this but this is really scary. Can I please hold your hand a little longer” you said with a pleading look in your eyes. He nodded his head and interlocked fingers with you. For some reason even though you didn’t know him you felt safe around him. Other members of your team seemed to notice your hands but chose to say nothing. By now the timer was ticking down and the woman who took your spot on your last team was struggling with the spinning top. Until the other woman slapped her twice back to back. That seemed to get her in shape. When it was the other woman's turn to play jjegi she politely asked everyone to turn around and they obliged as she went. When everyone heard the jjegi hit five times, everyone turned around to cheer. All five of them crossed the finish line with seconds to spare. Your team and others jumped up to celebrate. You and the longer haired man’s fingers still interlocked, celebrated and cheered for the other team before gunshots were heard from the other side of the room bringing the reality of the situation back to you.
–
It was your team's turn to go. You were one of the last two teams on the track. You didn’t have an audience which you were kinda sad about but it also helped you guys focus more. When the final gun went off for you to start your race you and your team moved as a unit. It was your turn first. On your first flip the ddakji flipped over and your team had a mini celebration before moving on to the next game. Everyone was getting past on the first try except when it came to the spinning top. The man messed up twice and even managed to swing the top behind you guys. But eventually he locked in and went to the final game jjegi. We only had seconds to spare. The man hit the jjegi four times before it lost control on the last one but both men put their foot forward to save it and it was a pass.
Your team crossed the finish line right as the timer went off. You guys celebrated for a little bit thanking God you were still alive but more bullets from the other side of the room made you sick. You walked back with the guards and some people seemed disappointed that there were more people that survived but when you got back in the room the older woman rushed to give you a hug.
“I’m so glad you found a team and made it back safely. I was worried about you.” she said holding you tight and you hugged her back. It kind of reminded you of how your mother used to.
“I’m fine I had a great team” you said while letting her go. You talk to her a little more before going to vote.
Before the vote, one of your teammates encouraged everyone to vote to go home. You had already voted to go home the first time so you didn’t need to be told twice. But after the vote was over the O’s won by a few good votes. And even worse one of your teammates voted for O. After that you just wanted eat and maybe find to find the man that had chosen you.
–
“Hey” you say as you interrupt the long haired man as he is eating.
“Hey” he responds back after he chews the food in his mouth.
“I just wanted to say thank you for letting me join your team,” You say while looking at the ground smiling. “And for letting me hold your hand while I was a little scared” you say looking up at him now.
He smiles at you “It’s no problem without you we wouldn’t have made it out of there” he said.
“No, that was all you. You did the gongi so fast I've never seen anything like it.” you say to him with a genuine smile. “What’s your name?” you ask him.
“Dae-ho” he holds out his hand for you to shake.
“Y/N” you shake his hand slowly.
–
It was time for lights out. As you sat with Dae-ho to eat you found out your other teammates' names, Jung-bae, Young-il, and Gi-hun. You decided that you would stick with them for the time being. You decided to sleep by them too but really wanting to sleep closer to Dae-ho. Even though the light’s went out you and Dae-ho stayed up a little longer to talk and get to know each other more.
He thought you were beautiful. You were smart and funny too. He couldn’t imagine how you had gotten here but he was selfishly a little glad you were here.
“Do you have anybody at home?” he asks, facing you as you both are laying down.
“Nope just me and my fishes” you say back with a laugh. “What about you? Do you have anybody waiting for you at home?” you say inching closer to him.
“Nah I’m all alone” he said as he rested his hand behind his head with his eyes closed. Even with all the chaos you both were in he looked so peaceful. You faced him laying on your side looking at him and taking him in. He was cute of course but also so much more than that.
“Y/N?” he said quietly while his eyes were still closed.
“Yeah?”
“You know your fish are probably dead right?” he says with a slight laugh. You laughed back and hit him with the pillow you were just laying on. Even in life and death situations he made you laugh.
“I hate you” you said as your laughter died down. He was still laughing slightly.
“When we get out of here I’ll buy you more fishes if you agree to go on a date with me?” He says as he faces you.
You let out a small laugh “are you seriously asking me out when there’s a possibility we both die tomorrow?”
“I’m not letting you die, not before our date at least” he says with a determined look in his eyes. He looked dead serious and in that moment you started to trust him.
“Dae-ho you don’t even know me” you say as you look him dead in his eyes. You were starting really like him to the point it would crush you if he died.
“I know you’re beautiful, smart, and you understand my sense of humor, and also on our date I can get to know you even more.” he says. He meant every word you said and by the look in his eyes you believed him.
“Okay, I would love to go out on a date with you” you respond with a wide smile. He smiles back too.
“We should probably get some sleep, we don't know what’s ahead of us tomorrow” you say as you feel yourself getting tired. You yawn as you put your pillow back under your head and shut your eyes.
“Goodnight Y/N”
“Goodnight Dae-ho”
–
You woke up the next morning ready for the next game. All morning you and Dae-ho stayed close together talking about anything and everything. When it was time for the game and you and your group walked to the game room you saw lots of doors and a platform in the middle. You scoot a little closer to Dae-ho to feel safe before he grabs your hand and interlocks fingers.
“You okay?” he asks. You nod your head not being entirely truthful but you felt better.
“Whatever you do try to stay close to me” he whispered in your ear. You nod your head again headed to the platform ready to be told the rules of the next game.
The mingle game. It was explained that the speaker will say a number we have 30 seconds to get in groups of that number and into a room. You were determined the whole time you would stay close to Dae-ho. The platform started moving and the song began to play. You were starting to get nervous but your group devised a plan if the number was above five Gi-hun and Young-il would go find more people.
The platform stopped. Ten players. The speaker said, you, Dae-ho, and Jung-bae ran to a room while Gi-hun and Young-il found more people. They found the older woman and her son and the rest of your old team from yesterday. You were glad to see them knowing that they would be okay for this round at least. Then the lady with the crazy eyes started yelling.
“You guys should be thankful, I just saved your lives” she said loudly in the room. I don't think anyone was paying her any attention. You sure weren’t. When the doors unlocked you were let back out in the game room. You almost slipped on some fresh blood on the floor. You felt sick.
“You okay?” Dae-ho asked again. You shook your head.
“I feel sick I really want to go home Dae-ho” you say as your eyes well up in your eyes. You got back to the platform when Dae-ho engulfed you in a big hug while you cried in his chest.
“I know, I will get you out of here, I will get us out of here.” He responded as he planted kisses on your head. Just as you let from his hug the platform started to move again.
–
You made it pass the next few rounds with Dae-ho directly at your side. There were 126 people left and Young-il made an observation that the next number would probably be two to have an even 100 players left. If that were true you knew you would be with Dae-ho. The platform spins and after a few go sounds it stops. Two players. Dae-ho grabbed your hand tightly and rushed to a red door. He was moving fast plus his legs were longer so you couldn’t keep up. Almost to the door you slipped on some blood. You fell right on your but and dropped Dae-ho’s hand.
Because of the pain you stay on the ground for a few seconds not realizing that you only had 9 seconds left to get to Dae-ho’s door. You hear Dae-ho screaming your name. You get up in a pure adrenaline rush and run to the door. It wasn’t too far but it was a possibility that you might not make it. You weren’t an athletic person but you made it to the door just in time to close. When the door locks behind you, you slide to the floor feeling a rush of emotions. You were relieved that you were still alive but scared because you almost died. Dae-ho went to the floor with you. You held him tight to you and his head rested in your neck.
“Y/N, don’t do that again I almost lost you” he said breathlessly while still holding on to you. You guys separated from the hug and your foreheads rested on each other.
“I’m sorry I just slipped on the blood outside and I thought that I was dead for sure.” you said even more out of breath when some tears fell from your cheeks. He used his thumbs to wipe away some of your tears.
“Hey, hey it’s okay i’m right here you’re safe with me” he says as he wipes away more tears. You look him in the eyes. You had never felt this way for another human before. No one on earth has ever made you feel more safe than he did right now. It was a strange feeling.
You looked up at him then his lips. He caught on and looked down at your lips.
“I know this is a bad time but could i kiss yo-” you cut him off by leaning in and kissing him. The kiss was soft and slow. He went to cup your face with his hands while yours went around his neck. Before it gets too heated you break the kiss and suddenly the doors unlock. You both get up with your cheeks a little red from your mini makeout. When you’re about to leave Dae-ho grabs your hand to keep you from leaving. You turn back to look at him.
“Y/N, I swear to you I will get you out of here” he says with full sincerity in his voice. Your eyes soften at him.
“I know you will. You still owe me a date and some fishes” you say with a smile as you leave the room. He smiles too, following you out the room. He meant every word he said.
You will make it out of here. By any means necessary. Even if it means sacrifice.
